I was not expecting the pizza to be as good as it was! I was expecting mediocre pizza. But the pizza is really good and you get to create what you want on your pizza down to the sauce. It’s basically a chipotle but for pizza. There was so many options to chose from. My friend and I split a pizza and each chose what we wanted on our half. It was completely different even down to the sauce. So it was nice to be able to share and it was super quick. I hope they bring this pizza chain up north.

Average pizza. It’s alright but nothing special. It’s cheap fast food pizza so if you’re looking for quality don’t come here. It’s good enough for a lunch break but I’d rather pay more and get better pizza. Ive eaten here probably 10 times for lunch with people and I tried quite a few combinations. It’s just average…

Love the pizza and staff, but tonight the pizza is not what left a bad taste in my mouth. The manager tonight, Russ, was very rude and chucked sauce at us when we politely asked for some. My husband asked if everything was alright and Russ proceeded to say, yeah had a long day. To Russ, weather you have had a long day or not do not treat your customers in a matter that makes them not want to come back. Your actions do have consequences.

Dear Rus, you were the manager on duty that gave me attitude and threw barbaque sauce at my wife, friends and I and acted like a child. When I asked what your problem was, you said«I’ve had a long day», in which I said back«yeah all your customers can definitely tell». No apology. I don’t care what your excuse is, leave your problems at the door(customer service 101). You would be the reason I don’t come back, but lucky for you, the rest of the staff is super cheerful, and the pizza is excellent. Cheers, Chris Update: A partner for the company called and apologized for the incident and handled everything professionally. I thought customer service was dead, but he proved me wrong. Willing to give Blaze another shot.

Can’t say enough… excellent service and the pizza is amazing — I think the difference is the sauce; it has a nice kick to it.

Really good. It’s basically the Chipotle for pizza. It’s fast, but you don’t sacrifice quality. Imthey also have a ton of toppings to choose from for a good price!

First Visit — Standard(thin) crust, original red sauce, double/triple mozzarella, pepperoni, half sausage, and light oregano pizza. Crust has slight charring on bottom. Great flavor! Obviously super fresh, made to order. Will definitely be back! Great job Blaze of Knoxville! Two thumbs up!

I mean, pizza. Also, build your own. Also, fast. How much more do I really need to say to convince you that this place is exactly where you need to be? Seriously, I really enjoyed my visit to Blaze(great outside seating) and I enjoyed the pizza even more.

If you’re looking for a way to customize your pizza experience, this is the place to go! Done cafeteria style, you choose the sauce, meats, and as many toppings at you want, all for the same price. The people working there are fast, friendly, and very thorough to make sure your experience is what you’re looking for. Even though it’s custom made, the price is very reasonable! Plus, you’ll more than likely have some left over for a snack later.

This was our first experience at Blaze Pizza. We’ve heard of it, but hadn’t tried it yet! This one just happened to be along our road trip route! We loved it! We love Chipotle and this concept is very similar, only for pizza. There was a bit of a learning curve for the ingredient ‘row’. We made our pizzas pretty basic and then saw all of the great add ons as we went. That’s OK, because what we got was YUMMY! The nice thing is that we all(me, husband, 13yo and 9yo kiddos) got exactly what we wanted. Everyone was happy! We’ll be sure to find the locations closer to home and go back for more! It was great that there was outdoor seating also available. The restaurant is very clean. The staff all work pleasantly, professionally and efficiently. Someone also stopped by our table to make sure we were enjoying our food! Also, it was very busy… but if you see a line, don’t let that stop you. They keep everything moving very well. We had little or no waiting! We highly recommend Blaze Pizza!

Okay. It’s pizza. Seriously. Pizza. There is a LOT of pizza in Knoxville so what makes BLAZE worth going to when you can get pizza in every corner in this city? ANYTHING you want on that pizza for $ 7.95! That’s why! No «per topping charge» BS! If you want fresh basil… get it! Want Gorgonzola cheese? Ask for it! Want light sauce, white sauce, spicy sauce? You can have it your way at BLAZE! All pizzas are thin crust. Felt like this place was made just for me! They are slid into an oven that is BLAZING hot and in 180 seconds… DONE! I suggest selecting a funny or interesting name for them to call out when your pizza is done. I didn’t think about it until it was too late… but next time… and there WILL be a next time… I’m going with Jr Asparagus or Pipi John or Calamity Jane! Sit outside! It’s really way better than inside. Get the Blood Orange Lemonade! Because you can and who else had Blood Orange Lemonade? I have only one suggestion for BLAZE… sweep out the oven. The grainy corn meal that goes on every pizza bottom and burn in the oven and then builds up, is annoying… and causes me to have to wipe my hands excessively. BLAZE was my choice for our Mothers Day dinner! I was pleased with the experience! AND got a great pic with my middle son as well!

Before Blaze was here, there had been many restaurants that tried to occupy this«used to be dead space.» It seems that Blaze is here to stay! The first time I went here was back in the fall of 2014. I was going to order quite a few pizzas to feed at least 15 people. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the friendly staff. Then an employee explained the process to me. Basically I could make my own pizzas or pick from the list. For instance, you can always modify any pizza on their list, saying more mozzarella, more basil, etc. It’s similar to a Subway line where you can be like ‘a few more tomatoes please.’ All the pizzas are based on personal size pizzas. Even though you could probably share one if you aren’t that hungry. They are thin crust so it’s not hard to eat the whole thing. I ordered 12 pizzas and all were fabulous. Oh yes, they even have gluten free pizzas for those of you that don’t eat gluten. That’s actually pretty hard to find & most places that make gluten free pizzas end up tasting like cardboard. Even though I didn’t try that one, I was told it was very good! My first experience was pretty awesome. I was told for the future if I have big orders I can always call it in, or place my order over the Internet. I have been back multiple times since my first experience and continue to enjoy this place. For under $ 10 you can get a drink and a thin crust personal pizza. Did I say that it was fast? It’s a wood burning pizza oven and they cook pretty fast. So even if you are craving pizza and are in a hurry this place could have you in and out within 10 minutes or under. I’m a fan, so if you are in the area, give this place a shot. I think you’ll enjoy just as I have been. Cheers & Enjoy!

Great wood fired pizza delivered made to order and very fast! They have great outdoor seating and in a nice day is perfect to take it all in. Pizzas are perfect for sharing especially if you are going to have a salad as well. 11 inch pizzas so personal size. Definitely recommend for a laid back brick oven experience.

Awesome place. Live the concept of adding any topping I want, all for one low price. The kids love it too and can get their own 11″ single topping for 6.50. Everything cooks is 180 seconds so you get your food fast. You can order online and skip the line out front! Been coming since opening weekend after we tried the first Blaze in Louisville a few times. Mike, the owner, seems to have a great handle on things. Only complaint — add more seating and add a second line — this place should be on everyone’s must-do list! Hint — I timed the line one night — if you are stuck in a long lost line that wraps outside the door, it takes 30 minutes to order, pay, and get your pizza from the outermost door. And the pizza is worth the wait if you make a good flavor combination — but that’s on you.

Excellent pizza. First time and won’t be our last. Intend to bring in the group before UT games since it’s fast, inexpensive, and everyone can choose what they want! My wife and I shared a build your own this visit, and we were able to choose our toppings on each of our half side of the pizza — love you can get as many toppings as you want for the same build your price of 7.65! One of our pizzas had a small whole in the crust after cooking and they insisted on making another pizza and also gave my daughter the pizza to take home — excellent customer service. We will definitely come back.

We went here on Friends and Family night. The restaurant is tucked in that spot that never seems to work near Altruda’s. I think this could possibly be the place that sticks. The ordering process is a little long, this could have been because they had everyone there for the event. One person writes the order, one puts the sauce, one puts the cheese, and so on. We got the green stripe pizza, the caesar salad and the caprese type salad. The salads were fine, the caesar is way to fishy for my tastes but it had those huge pieces of parmesan that are the best! There are about one billion options and they all look good, there are multiple sauces and crust choices, the spicy marinara looked interesting. When you are going down the line, it may look as though they are not putting nearly enough cheese on it(this is almost always a concern of mine)… frankly our pizza looked really sad. BUT, when it came out of the oven the cheese was perfect. Trust the process, people. They added fresh arugula and pesto and our pizza was pretty good. I think this place would be perfect for a quick/light lunch or dinner or a place to bring family. You can get a personal pizza which is a good size for about $ 7.50 so everyone can get what they want.

Tailor-made pizza for one all-encompassing price cooked in 180 seconds? In the words of Barney Stinson: «Challenge accepted!» Blaze had just recently opened, so from the looks of it, the managers and staff were working hard to meet timelines and meet customer satisfaction. From initial impression, the place looked hectic behind the counter due to the mass of workers. However, once you got in line, you could see the production line process they had in place that quickly shuffled customers down the counter as they built their pizzas. The use of 5(minimum) different workers addressing you by your first name on your pizza order can be jarring, but I understand it’s their goal to personalize the entire process for you. At the end of the line, I spotted a manager subtly running a timer, ensuring that the pizzas met the 180 second delivery goal. If you want a salad, your salad will be at the end of the production line, near the register where you pay. Overall, I was surprised that you could get a personalized pizza for only $ 7.95. Not only can you just build your own, but you can order one of their specialty pizzas AND add whatever toppings you want for no additional price. You could ask for every single topping known to mankind and pay no additional fees. Our pizzas came out great. No complaints from anyone in our party. The only thing that seemed a little gross was the Grilled Veggie salad, which was overcooked and looked very unappealing. Other than that, we all enjoyed our individual meals. Service was good — they were certainly trying very hard to the point where it was a bit odd, but kudos to them for trying to ensure that their clients were happy.(I’d be curious to see if they have the same enthusiasm in a few months.) If you’re looking for a fast, personalized lunch, check Blaze out!

I have trust issues and when you make grand promises of awesomeness, I immediately put on my skeptical hat. Let’s run down the Blaze Pizza concept, shall we?! You’re telling me that I can get a pizza with WHATEVER I want on it, that it will be cooked to perfection in 180 seconds, AND that it’s going to cost me only $ 7.95? I feel like we’re playing a game of one of these things is not like the other. Because there is no way these things could be true and the pizza be worth consuming. Yesterday Blazed kicked off their first day in Knoxville by offering free pizza to all. Someone clearly told them how to get my attention! So with the promises listed above, we decided to give it a shot. At least disappointment would come at a digestible price. Except, there was NO disappointment! From the moment we walked through the door(or should I say stepped in the line that went down the side of the building), the staff was so friendly and helpful. The people busting their butts to sling pizza for the masses were bubbly and cheerful. As we were shuffled down the line in a chipotle style fashion, selecting your sauces, cheeses, and veggie, we were met with personality and an array of tasty toppings. At the end of the line, you are told to stay close because your pizza will be out in just a matter of minutes. Even with half of Knoxville in line for free pizza, this was true. In a matter of minutes, my pizza was being topped with a pesto drizzle and cut into pieces. It looked and smelled amazing. And the moment of truth… DELICIOUS!!! Seriously, I was blown away. The Mister and I played a game of swapsies and while his pizza concoction was completely different than mine, it was just as fantastic! While I am not one to typically sing the praises of chains, I was really impressed with my experience at Blaze. I love that they are open later hours during the week than most restaurants in the area. I also noticed that they have options for just about all dietary needs. Vegan, gluten free, etc. they’ve got you covered! Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza: 1 My trust issues: 0
