Outer Banks Grocery Delivery

I would use this service again but I would make sure to let them know not to substitute certain things unless they call me and have them approved first. There were only a couple items that were substituted and none missing. We didn’t have a huge order but I do use the «to go» option at grocery stores back home so I’m familiar with what they do. There should be an option while you’re choosing your items whether you want an item substituted or not. I hate to call them and complain over 2 items when it was nice convenience to have this in the first place so I’ll just deal with the 2 items. However, I was impressed with how nice things were arranged in the house when we arrived. They gave us a cute pen that my daughter loved. We will be visiting OBX again and I do expect we will use this service. SO nice with 2 children to not have to stop and get groceries on the way in on a Saturday evening after a long car ride here.
I am a little confused as to why they use Delivery Genie but on things like Unilocal and some other site they use Outer Banks Grocery Delivery.

We had a positive experience with Outer Banks Grocery Stockers (OBGS). They have a good online interface, which makes ordering easy. Their communication both by email and by phone was excellent. OBGS worked with our rental company to gain entry to the house before we arrived, and put the food needing refrigeration in the refrigerator, and laid out the other items on the counter, along with the receipt. We appreciated the grocery delivery so that the house already was stocked, since we arrived about 8pm on our check in day. Thanks.

Can’t recommend. We used them this summer as Farm Fresh no longer delivers from their Elizabeth City location. Our order was about half from what they list online and half sent to them by email.
There were some questionable substitutions but nothing too bad. Issues we had with them included:
— They delivered about 2 hours earlier than I had requested. There was no one at the house when they arrived but the cleaning crew got there shortly after.
— Before the delivery, communications were poor. I reached out 5 – 6 days ahead of arrival several times and only got a call back the night before we left for OBX.
— After our stay, communications were non-​existent. I emailed several addresses several times and never got any reply to my request for a full accounting on what I was charged for. All I had was the initial items from their online list, which had priced noted, and my email that did not. Was I properly charged? I don’t know but ignoring my requests for more complete info tells me there’s likely some slippage.
There are alternatives and I’ll use one of them next time.

Excellent service & the most polite people you’d wanna meet! Carried all of our groceries upstairs & even put them away for us! We were very impressed!
