I feel like I should be more impressed with the Barbour outlet store however… meh. Knowing that Barbour is a brand that does not go on sale often, I knew I had to stop by. There were some great deals going on but the styles seem out of date. I also didn’t enjoy the layout/general outlook of the store. On the positive side, customer service was great and they seem to have most sizes in stock. Maybe I’ll come back another time and find what I was looking for.

Awesome clothes and even better customer service. This is a true«outlet» as the clothes are over stock, etc. and not clothes that are made for outlet quality(like many other places in kittery). Chrissy was so helpful — give her a raise!

I was very impressed with Barbour after a disappointing trip to the Kittery outlets in general. They had a surprisingly large selection with most sizes in stock. The staff was friendly and helpful in suggesting popular styles and in points out positive and negative features of their products. While the coats were still expensive most were at least a few hundred dollars off the normal retail price. Definitely worth a visit.

If you are in the market for high quality outerwear with classic styling that will last forever, Barbour is the place to go. If you want that quality, styling, and durability at a great price, you will need to come up to Kittery and check to see what they have here. Today, thanks to some friends who were willing to make a short detour from a lunch with another friend in Portsmouth, I was able to buy a classic Barbour waxed cotton jacket, in a beautiful shade of blue, at a saving of more than $ 300 over the original price of $ 379. The downstairs store is well organized, and has attentive, but not pushy(they don’t work on commission) salespeople to help you. Do check out the upstairs loft space, which is not as tidy or well-staffed, but has items that they don’t carry downstairs. Also be aware that, in women’s sizes, Barbour’s line goes up to a British size 14, which is equivalent to a U.S. size 12. I’m pretty sure that my great new jacket was intended for men’s wear, but I spend a lot of time walking around and I don’t care if I’m wearing a man’s jacket if it keeps the rain off me. As other posters have noted, this is the ONLY Barbour outlet in the U.S. The store is located in the middle of a bunch of other outlet malls, but they’re the kind you can find at any outlet mall in the U.S. If you want superb quality at a bargain-basement price, this store is well worth the trip.

I drove up here because A) I’d never been to Maine B) I have always wanted a Barbour coat C) I was in Boston and could easily get here within an hour I lucked out. This is a honest to goodness LEGITIMATE Outlet. This isn’t the J. Crew factory store where things are made of lower quality specifically for the outlet. No sir! As with any legit outlet, its hit or miss and if you’re a weird size you’ll probably have an easier time finding something. I picked up a Navy Blue Beaufort for under $ 200. This coat sells for over $ 400 @ Orvis! If you’re in the Boston area on business this is certainly worth a trip. Its a nice quick drive and you CANNOT miss the store once you get off the interstate. Its on your right hand side if you’re going north @ Exit 3.

#175 Barbour makes high quality outerwear at a price point that reflects the quality craftsmanship, British heritage, timeless styling, and functional nature of their jackets. Simply put, Barbour caters to a particular audience who is concerned about functionality, but wants to look good while riding motorcycles or going hunting and wouldn’t be caught dead wearing a bright orange parka when it rains. There are some great deals to be found here. And while there is the general presumption that clothing designers manufacture separate factory-issued clothes and retail store-issued clothes, I very much doubt that Barbour practices this. First of all, this is the only Barbour factory outlet in the country. Why make an entirely separate line for one factory outlet? Second, this store sells many of the same Barbour styles as can be found in a Barbour retail store. Third, some of the pieces you’ll find in the store were ‘promos’ or have very minor cosmetic defects. Thus, there are significant discounts to be had. For example, I was ecstatic to score a $ 300 Barbour jacket for $ 100. First floor is split 50:50 into mens and womens. Upstairs is kids section. Scant selection of accessories like gloves and scarves. A mix of current styles and discontinued styles. But, because Barbour effuses classic styling, nobody will mistake you for wearing an Ed Hardy jacket. No refunds. No exchanges. Try on the piece and inspect carefully before bringing it to the cash register. Barbour is located in same parking lot as the Orvis outlet. Also it’s more conveniently located at the south end of the outlet strip as opposed to where the majority of the outlet stores are located; thus, you don’t really have to fight through traffic to enter/exit the parking lot. And parking is plentiful. If you love Barbour, you’re gonna love shopping in this store. There are some great deals to be found. I can’t wait to drop by during the holidays!

Helpful, friendly staff. Although it’s definitely a hit or miss experience, worth a try. I found a $ 500 trench coat marked down to $ 75 because of two small spots that came out with a little soap & water.
