My family and I are on vacation from northern Florida. We decided to order from TexMex Express after browsing the menu provided by our hotel, Royale Parc Suites. A very cheerful lady answered the phone and took my rather large order… not only were ALL the special requests taken care of, the woman and man who delivered my order were incredibly nice! If I had had any cash on me, I would have tipped even more than what was included on my bill. Thank you to the staff & friends that helped make this meal the BEST that we’ve every has here in Orlando… and we come down at least twice a year! We will definitely order again!!!

The food was all microwaved and soggy… The lady working was friendly and the only nice part of this place. Had the fries taco salad and chicken fajita wrap. Nothing was good… Actually the beer was cold

Okay, let me start off by saying the burger was good. Not the best. But good. Besides that i was absolutely disappointed. We spent 64 dollars on food for five people and it took near an hour and a half to get here, and the fries were OBVIOUSLY microwaved, chicken tenders were as well. The cuban had no spicy mustard… That should be illegal. The most satisfyimg part was the chips and salsa. Good job on not messing that up. The guy delivering it was pretty nice. Not sure his name, but he’s hispanic, so shout out to you, you’re good.

Loved the food! Lots of food at a very reasonable price. Not sure what the other reviewers are complaining about. I recommend the grilled chicken burrito. Great flavor!

I arrived around 6:30PM on a Wednesday, I had parked near by to meet with somebody to sell something on Craigslist. Got there way too early, so I decided I’d pop in and get a quick snack while I waited. My two options were here and Flipper’s, so I decided on this place, having no experience with either. None of the meals looked that appealing to me so I flipped over to the desserts menu, only to find that the entire place apparently only sold two desert options. Still, they had big, round churros pictured on the menu, with lots of cinnamon and sugar, and the menu mentioned chocolate sauce, so that’s what I ordered. Interestingly, you have to pay before you eat, and place your order yourself at the counter despite the fact there are waiters. This meant that I was prompted for a tip before I ever even got to see what the service was like, or how the food tasted. This is the first time I’ve EVER left no tip at a restaurant — I wasn’t going to leave a tip when I hadn’t had any experience at the place yet. The restaurant was empty except for one table of five who were already eating, so I was literally the only person with an order in. To my surprise, it took 25 minutes for my very small dessert order to arrive at what should have been their rush time. Instead of getting the big churros pictured in the menu, I instead got a basket of miniature churros«loops», with a very light coating of sugar. It came with a small cup of chocolate sauce. It was horrendous. I am fairly certain that the sauce was simply Hershey’s chocolate sauce squirted into a cup. The dough was cooked well, but lacked any kind of flavor that wasn’t immediately drowned in the artificial chocolate and chemical flavor that is Hershey’s. It tasted like dipping bread sticks into a super thick chocolate milk, which was every bit as nasty as it sounded. Between the length of time to get such a small order and the quality of the food I got, have to give this place one star.

Here on Vaca and the resort suggested this place. Delivery came when promised and they sent a ton of food! Everything was delicious. Steak and chicken in the fajitas was tender and tasty. We vacation here often and will def order whenever we are here!

Only one star because I can’t give it zero. Service is definitely NOT express. Chicken quesadilla was tough and meat rubbery. Loaded nachos were plain gross, soggy and stale. Waited over 30 minutes for meal and the place was all but empty when we placed our order. Even had to wait at least 5 minutes before someone approached the counter to pay our bill. Appears to be a one man operation in the kitchen with one server who was really easily confused. Don’t recommend this place at this time.

I must confess that I was a little skeptical to come to this place. It is Christmas night, every street in Kissimmee and Celebration are packed with people and almost had every restaurant is close. After having the doors closed at 3 restaurants, making many phone calls to check if some of them were open, I found out about the pizzeria next to this place. It was open and it had some great reviews in Unilocal,so I went there. At my arrival I noticed that it was super crowed and there was a line to be seated, but next door was this restaurant almost empty. I was with my family and all of us were starving, so what the heck, we decided to enter. Of course I immediately checked Unilocal and saw some pretty awful reviews, but still decided to give it a try. In this place you have to order at the counter and then they bring the food to your table. When I saw the menu I realized that this was no conventional Tex-mex restaurant since it offered chicken wings, mozzarella sticks and hamburgers. I had a Grand Burrito vegetarian and they filled it with mushrooms. I also ordered a side of guacamole. To be honest I was expecting it to taste pretty flavorless(Taco Bell style) but when I tasted it I found out that it was actually PRETTYGOOD. My burrito was good too. The service was nice and the food came out pretty fast. My family had some American food and they thought it was standard, but good for the place. To be honest I must say that this is a gem because it was one of the few places open late night on Christmas Eve, with variety of foods and fast service. This is not a fancy place, it is very simple. It almost feels like a fast food kind of place, but it saved the night for us. The last star is missing for me because I didn’t like the ambience. It feels a little cheap and it is bad because it makes you think that the food won’t be good when in fact it is. I recommend this restaurant for people that need a quick bite late at night and don’t mind going to the counter to order your food.

Did not like it… This place is below average, the food has no flavor… This place is expensive for the food you get… If you have a car drive a few kilometers towards the airport and you’ll find amazing Mexican restaurants.

DEPLORABLE! To start the process of grabbing a menu and standing in the entry way while customers that are leaving have to pass thru the order line, is functional obsolescence at its best. The notion of having a tip line on a receipt when I’m placing my own order, getting my own refill and dumping my own garbage, is purely insane. And then to follow-up the tip line on the receipt with a tip jar on the counter… LAUGHABLE!!! The food: you don’t get what’s on the menu. If it states sour cream on the menu, don’t hold your breath waiting for it. If you’re a hooker just finishing up with your favorite John, have him bring you here, as this place is just behind a motel and I mean MOTEL!!! No horchata at the Mexican joint, but you can get an Icee(literally) #insanety. The celery which accompanied the chicken wings appeared to have been stolen from a near by hamster cage from the level of freshness it offered. In closing, upon taking my low end plastic utensils and styrofoam plate(which I literally cut thru trying to cut my burrito) I was met by a garbage hole that was ½ the size of my plate, thus forcing me to fold it to get it in the hole. I didn’t go here expecting Morton’s Steak House, but I did expect a much better experience than I had.

If you’re in old town & want good service and inexpensive food, this place is definitely worth a try. The front counter was very welcoming and they offer seating indoor and outdoor. The outdoor seating was pretty cool, they have lights hanging around for a relaxing ambience. I kept it simple and ordered a regular cheeseburger. It was pretty good for fast food service. They also offer free refills on drinks.

We called for a delivery order and was told it would be 45 min! An hour and 30 minutes later we still had no food! Per a phone call back the delivery driver got lost and would be there in 5 mins. 20 minutes later the delivery driver called me and said she was gonna deliver our food. I told her she could deliver it but I was not going to pay for it, or maybe she shouldn’t bother because I would deny it due to being cold. Total disappointment.

The fact that this place is getting 1 star is saying a lot. I keep thinking that Unilocal needs to offer zero stars because if so, that’s what this«restaurant» would have been«awarded.» This experience was despicable, let me start with that. I should have know by the name, Tex Mex, that I wasn’t going to remotely get the Mexican that I was so craving. The restaurant was filthy from top to bottom. The windows were covered with cob webs and the neon lights had layers of dust on them. The caddy with condiments that sat on the table was dirty and had a piece of half eaten fried food(see picture in gallery). The margaritas were terrible. In fact, I’m pretty sure it was sans tequila. When my husband ordered another bottle of beer the server(who presented himself as the owner/manager) said that he needed to go to the store to get more. He offered another type of beer that was not remotely similar. The appetizer of queso and guac was beyond terrible(again check out the picture in the gallery). It literally looked half eaten and then put under a heat lamp. I’m not sure how anyone could have even served it. The guac was avocado mixed with a heavy amount of sour cream and was completely creamy. No way, shape or form was that homemade. The other food was below average and rather pathetic. Will never be disappointed by this garbage again!

Visiting with my wife and kids and on a recommendation from another employee of Old Town we stopped in to see what it’s all about. First impressions was that it was clean and smelled really good. They encourage you to have a seat while you decide on what to order, but then you have to get up and place the order at the counter. I was fine with placing the order but when paying for the bill and leaving gratuity before I even tasted a bite or had any real customer service was something I didn’t like. But based on recommendations I went ahead and left a tip anyways. However I wish I didn’t leave any! The restaurant was fairly busy but the food came out quick and hot. Our kids ordered the pizza and fries. It was gross. Looked like the frozen walmart mini pizzas, but the walmart pizzas taste much better than the Tex Mex pizzas. My wife ordered the Tacos and my daughter and I ordered the Chimichangas which were all fairly good for Mexican joints. As part of our order we got the churros. Which were brought out at the same time as the entrees. They were served with what looked like the chocolate syrup you use for chocolate milk! The churros were hard and barely had any cinnamon sugar. Don’t get them. Overall the service sucked. The staff seemed to be bothered and were not friendly. There was an older man that literally hovered around our table making us uncomfortable and rushed. He wasn’t there to help us or get us refills, I had to get up and ask for them myself. He was waiting to clean our table even though there were many empty tables and no people waited to be seated. I will never go back there again.

We came to Old Town/Fun Spot to ride some go-karts, walk around, and eat some food. After spotting this place right next a pizza joint, which we initially wanted to go. We all decided«Mexican!!!» We stood the counter to order our food for 20 minutes. There was a woman that wanted her money back. I thought to myself, not a good sign. After we ordered we sat and waited about another 20 — 25 minutes to get our food. Once it arrived we had an Texas Loaded Fries, it consisted of chili, cheese, jalapeños, and some crispy fries. Surprisingly good, but I don’t know if it’s good enough to have me wait nearly 50 minutes since I walked in there. We also had onion rings which were also golden and crispy with a side of ranch. They were not shy with amount of rings in your basket. Very good rings. Then came my Burrito Grande, which was also pretty damn good. It had steak, cheese, beans, rice, sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, and tomatoes. Overall the Burrito Grande was alright and had pretty good seasoning. This place is inexpensive and they do give you a full plate. Now the wait was ridiculous. It’s not a place I would go out of my way for, but if I would ever be in the mood for Mexican food, I happened to be at Old Town, and the wait much shorter, then I would go again.

Food and service are always plusses for me at this place. When you walk in, there are brochure menus for you to order and the staff waited patiently for us. The lady that took our order, she was kind enough to share her opinion with us between some entrees that we couldn’t decide to get. You get to choose where you like to sit; booth or chairs and your meals are brought to you. The staff prefers you sit and enjoy your meals while they get you all your necessities. My boyfriend and I always have a great time and my boyfriend especially loves Mexican food! Great Mexican food to try in Olde Towne Kissimmee. We came the day after Christmas and they still had all their holiday decorations by the window and throughout the restaurant. I could tell they put a lot of work into the decorations and they were very well represented. We recommend the Taco Trio shredded beef comes with rice and beans, chimichangas, and nachos. The veggies, meat, and sides were fresh and cooked perfectly for our taste buds. We had to stop ourselves from finishing everything all at once in one sitting because we wanted to save some for leftovers. My opinion may be biased only because Olde Towne was our first date and Tex Mex was the first restaurant we dined together on our first date but nonetheless, it’s really worth a try!
