Visiting Angels

Horrific experience. The person sent to help my mother, stole cash and jewelry from her. She may not be able to get around, but she always knows how much money she has, and every piece of her jewelry. Calls to company go unanswered with no reply. Avoid at all costs. I will be filing an AG complaint. More like «Visiting Thieves».

This is the single agency which has helped with the needs in our home the most. Far superior care. I cannot thank Makala enough for putting together such a great group. Every person who has been to this house from Visiting Angels is completely competent and has a good idea of the needs before they come. You cannot say this about other agencies.
One big difference is they do the best and most accurate assessement to begin with, very professional. Other agencies usually just send out a person with a little shadow training and no formal education or credits in the area of elder and special care. In fact, other agencies fight the State when more specific training requirements are requested. A huge backslide for our most vulnerable population.
Persons who study for and qualify for the State «HCA» (Home Care Aide) certificate usually get paid a little more and Visiting Angels requires all their employees to take that course of study.
