Came in on a Monday morning for my first laser tattoo removal session. The marine location is very relaxing, the building new and very clean! Parking is in paid garage, but it is validated by the spa/clinic. Just present your ticket when you come in. The waiting room is lovely, with a soft radio music playing. The receptionist was very friendly and professional. My aesthetician Yaicha was simply amazing! Made me feel very comfortable, got into all the details, aftercare instructions, explained every step of the process very well. It’s great to have such a warm reception for my first visit! I’m now considering buying a package to remove my second tattoo here as well. The whole process for the actual«removal» of my small(credit card size) tattoo took maybe 1 – 2 minutes. I personally didn’t feel like it was so much more painful than getting the tattoo was. Just feels like hot oil splatters on your skin. Don’t feel the need to use any numbing creams. But I do have a pretty high pain tolerance. In any case, the 1 – 2 minutes of pain aren’t that bad. I’m excited to see how the healing process goes and how fast I can get rid of my unwanted tattoo.

I was referred to The Spa at Yarrow Bay by a good friend of mine & will continue to come back to this facility for any of my treatment needs! The Spa at Yarrow Bay is easy to find, easy to park(they validate parking too), and it is located in a beautiful location right by the water. As far as service goes, I have had nothing but a positive experience! Yaicha, Dr. McMillan, Connie, & Kari have all been so pleasant & very knowledgable in their areas of expertise. I am confident that if I call with a question during regular hours someone will always be there to pick up the phone & assist me. There has never been a time that I showed up for an appointment and wasn’t kindly greeted by their front desk receptionist Vanessa. As soon as I show up I am always taken back immediately on schedule for my appointment time. I’ve always been one to overanalyze & question doing different procedures or even hesitate to do them at all if I know it can or will be painful. After coming to Yarrow Bay, I can 100% say I couldn’t have been at a better place getting my lasering done! And yes lasering is not the most comfortable procedure, BUT it is SOOO worth it! I highly recommend the Spa at Yarrow Bay!

My friends and I did facials through a bloomspot deal, we all were very pleased and I would definitely love to go again.

I have to blatantly disagree with the only non-five star reviewer. It appears that the person’s gripe is: Yaicha did not shave her and that it was more painful. First of all — seriously? Yaicha has to shave you??? Alright — anyone who wants to get laser hair removal done, please know that you have to shave. And if you don’t shave, I believe there is a cost to that. Secondly, why are you shaving when you get to the office? The appointments are slotted for: BOLD: laser hair removal treatments: BOLD:. Not for shaving!!! I don’t go in with hairy armpits and waste minutes in the office to shave. I’m prepped to lay on the table, get zapped with a laser, then leave. Thirdly, Yaicha doesn’t have a knob on the laser that changes the pain level. It’s more painful because you *didn’t shave*. I should ALLCAPS that but that’d be like yelling. Wow — I bet the two-star reviewer was a Groupon coupon redeemer too. So not only is the person griping for something that SHOULDALREADYBEDONEBYTHETIMEYOUGETINTOTHESPA but the spa isn’t making much money and is actually losing money on this person. Apologies to the readers — I’m not a troll here to wreck anyone’s point of view. But sometimes these reviews are so lopsided and unfair and completely different from any experience I have that I find it highly suspect. Anyway — so now onto my story. I am a proud Groupon coupon redeemer. I bought the coupon to remove the hairy lip that I was blessed or cursed(whatever!) with. I went into the spa without realizing it’s also a plastic surgery office. It’s a fabulously decorated office with a very homey feeling. I’m not extravagant by any means but the feeling that I get when I arrive is that I am going to be seriously super-star pampered. Hmm… maybe one day I can actually get some plastic surgery done. I meet Yaicha who is very friendly. I show her my shaved mustache(yes, I was pre-informed that shaving was required). Unfortunately, because of my skin pigmentation and hair color, Yaicha said the laser in the spa wouldn’t work for me. Boo hoo! I really can’t get rid of this, can I? So, instead of getting a refund, which was offered, I signed up for another pet peeve hairy body place — my pits. OK, I didn’t shave my armpits so Yaicha allows me to go into the bathroom to shave(note — I had the last appointment of the day). But now that I know what body part I’m lasering, I arrive with shaved pits(sorry to belabor the point — but some people!). I just had my fourth(out of six) laser installment and this has been great! I barely have any hair growing and I am extremely happy with the results. Yes, the laser hurts and it’s gross to smell burning hair but to have armpits that are always hairless and not go cockeyed while shaving them, I’ll endure the pain. Thank you oh wonderful Yaicha for the pain I get every four to six weeks. You definitely run a five-star spa!

I had an awesome experience with Yaicha at The Spa at Yarrow Bay. I was nervous about having some laser hair done, as I was not sure how much it would hurt. Yaicha was very calming and gave me a good idea of how painful, or not, it would be. The office is so nice and warm and the staff is outstanding. I can usually get in at the time I need and they are flexible with changing appointments. I looking forward to booking a facial there as well.

My first visit to the cliic was great. The modern interior design of the clinic and pleasant front desk clerk was a plus. It was my first laser hair removal treatment. On my third visit, I forgot to shave and apologetically informed Yaicha assuming she’ll pre-shave before the treatment as she did before. Yaicha, the laser technician, said that’s fine and started laser treatment which was much more painful. I asked whether it is more painful with more hair and she said it does burn more on the surface. I asked her why she didn’t shave then, and she said there is extra charge for it and she does not have time to shave everyone. ???I told her I don’t mind paying the extra. I have an infant and I have to rush in the shower from time to time and I really don’t mind paying the extra at the clinic. When I went to the front desk for the next appointment, I asked for more time in case I run into this problem and that I have no problem paying more. The front desk clerk said there is no addional time needed since shaving a spot doesn’t really take much time. I went home and called the clinic to give a contructive criticism that Yaicha should have offered to shave for extra charge. Yaicha simply said that what she did was her personal preference(to induce more pain ???) and not give any option to the patient?!? She sounded very non-apologetic that she just rushed through the treatment mentioning that she has some 700 patients and she is there to do the laser treatment not to shave. I guess this practice has too many patients now. I have never had to deal with this kind of unprofessional attitude in the bellvue/kirkland area before. Unfortunately, I will finish my treatment since I pre-paid it but I strongly do not recommend this clinic or service to any others.

Beautiful, modern office located right on the water in Carillon Point, Kirkland. The décor reminded me of French country side with a contemporary twist. Plastic surgeon Dr. Sarah McMillan opened her own practice a few years ago, and completed it with a full service SPA. For the first time I was to receive laser hair removal, which I knew very little about and was naturally slightly nervous about… imagine getting your bikini waxed for the first time, you know what I’m talking about girls ;-) Even though I was a bit late due to traffic, office manager was graceful and very sweet. After filling out some paperwork, I was greeted by Yaicha, who went over the details of this procedure and answered all my questions. The treatment itself is fairly quick with minimal discomfort. I have followup appointments and a consultation with Dr. McMillan scheduled. Yarrow Bay offers everything from waxing and facials to Botox, laser hair removal, laser skin treatments and Dr. McMillan performs an array of surgical enhancements. She is a younger surgeon(residency was completed in 2006), but has really good credentials and is board certified. Great experience from start to finish. P. S. They validate parking.

Yaicha is great, the office is beautiful, and everyone was so nice. She answered all of my questions and made me very comfortable with the laser hair removal procedure. I look forward to coming back to the spa again. I will be sending all of my friends her way, she offers many great services.
