Very very bad and unpolite service. The mechanic had the worst manner for customer service. Be careful with mechanic name Raul. Automedic the next shop next door seems more professional and organized.

My wife stops in to get her oil changed while she was running some errands up in Kirkland.
They «find» a minor problem and a HUGE problem. So huge, in fact, that the car should not be running if what they said was true. I do some research on it when she brought the receipt home and I’m thinking this can’t be right. At the very least, the check engine light should be on, it isn’t.
I call them, they seem kind of flustered and they can’t really remember much but «she didn’t have time to get it fixed». Well, that was lucky.
I took it in to my local go to guys, they call BS on the whole thing.
Stay away or at least verify if they «find» a problem.
Cheap oil change though.

OK, update. It has been some time since I have gone back since it is out of my way. I dropped off my car for a tune up and understandably, because my car is old, ended up with a $ 685 bill due to gaskets. Unfortunate for me, they don’t look at what they are doing or check their work. My car is obviously a rear wheel drive. Don’t put the bald tires in the back, I would think it obvious that I have the meaty ones on the rear on purpose. Call if you had questions. If I was paying a robot, i would understand that it only does what the check list says to do.
Second, I checked my oil right after I got my car back since the light was blinking and I saw I had absolutely no oil? None at all? How? what? I put a quart in since I know it’s an old car.. . and still dry so that told me that there was either no oil in it or they forgot to put the plug back in? not sure I still need to look.
I also drove off with a rattling noise. Found out that there was a missing bolt from the radiator fan housing. I understand that they didn’t work in that area so they can’t be blamed for it but.. . drive test anyone? sounds like a QA issue. Anyway, I went to Home Depot and bought myself one bolt and secrured the housing.
Thanks a lot PNF! I guess I got what I paid for. I thought you were being just this whole time. Frank used to not be so unfair before, not sure what changed, maybe financial? really not sure but I hope he gets better. I am sure not going out of my way to go there anymore. And yes, I called him and talked to him about my issues to be fair on my side. He just had a bunch of excuses.

racist old Persian man — frank. tried to get my brake estimate and he starts judging me and makes racist comments about my ethnicity. I was there as a customer to get the job done and here he is giving me a lecture on issues with my ethnicity.

Came in on a Saturday around 1:00pm, they did my front and back brakes and Rotars. They had my car on the lift within 5 minutes. And working on it with in another 5, maybe I just got lucky. This was quick fast and professional service and for less than half the cost Midas wanted to charge me.

I’ve been going here for 4 ½ years. They’ve only had me fix things when they needed fixing and have done a great job on everything else. There has only been one time when they couldn’t give me an oil change and that’s because they were booked for the entire day. There is usually someone there who speaks spanish too.

Ok. I own a 2000 Ford Expedition. Alot of people make comments about Fords. Blah blah blah. I owned this car for 4 years and had my brother change the oil twice. Did bring this in to a Jiffy Lube once for an oil change and also had my brother do work on the brakes. He now lives in Montana

So I decided, Ok, I’ll bring my car in. Get the spark plugs changed, the oil… Do what I can to keep my car in ok condition. It wasn’t broken but I thought what the heck. I owned a ’94 Mustang convertible before this car and that was my baby. I took care of that car alot better and felt somewhat guilty for not keeping up on the maintenance of this car…
So I find this place online, in Kirkland, nice and close to where I live. I scheduled an appt for a 12k mile maintenance that supposedly cost $ 700-​$ 800 but they were giving me a deal at about $ 400 after taxes. Their «coupon price.» They were able to get me in the next day, Saturday, and even provide me w/​a free rental car since the job would take about 5 hours. I thought, how convenient. Not interfering w/​work. Can still get around to take care of errands and what not on a Saturday. This isn’t too bad…
So I bring my car in at 9:00 the next morning. It was a little hard to find since they had changed their name to PNF LUBE. Already had a slightly bad feeling when I found that out. They lent me this old Ford Taurus that I thought was going to choke halfway out of the parking lot. The car kept making loud crashing sounds during the 1 mile drive home. My son and I decided we were NOT going anywhere in this car. So. 2 hours later, they call me. They inform me that the fuel filter is very old and should be replaced also. No pressure. I decided I really had to wait on this due to finances and the holidays. They were very cool about it. That was Marco. I was able to pick my car up at about 5:00. Drove down to Tacoma and my car seemed to be stuttering in a minor way that was similar to the Taurus. I did NOT like it. It hadn’t done that before so… I brought it back in on Monday. They found a defective spark plug and replaced this under warranty. Great. Still seemed very satisfactory service.
By Thursday, my service engine soon light comes on. I call in and a very old man who hardly speaks english says I can bring it in on Monday. They’re busy. I explain to him that my car keeps feeling like it’s going to stall and I do not want to drive it in this condition. He told me he’d call back and when he did, he said the mechanic was willing to look at this and allowed me to bring my car in.
When I got there, this older man with a walker and very strong indian accent was very rude. I had to say something to him in order for him to acknowledge my presence. He had me fill out all this paperwork and they looked at my car. Turns out there is now an oxygen sensor that is bad and the cost is $ 120 to replace. Trying to understand how this happened so soon after they were all up under my hood, they really didn’t have the patience to explain ANYTHING to me. Just that it can fail and that’s what it did. Fail. Coincidentally less than a week after they worked on my car. What was even more coincidental was that there was another girl in the lobby who overheard this and mentioned that a few weeks ago, she had brought her car in to have the fuel injectors replaced and her oxygen sensor failed within the week also. Same shop. Similar situation.
He then tried to tell me that they normally charge $ 79 for the visit but they would only charge me $ 39. Also, that they would apply that to my repairs if I come back there. I told this old, rude man that I didn’t plan on bringing my car back and there was no way I was going to pay anything when all they did was hook up a machine to my car to tell them what was wrong. I had reason to bring it back when they just serviced my car and the service engine light came on shortly after. Not only that but didn’t they just find a defective spark plug? He got up on his walker and yelled as I was leaving. «We will not service your car again!»
I’m normally not rude and try to be understanding. I work in customer service and fully understand. But they didn’t deserve composure and politeness when they were lacking customer service. I thought about giving him the finger but just thought to myself, «He said they will not service my car again? Then they understand and we’re all on the same page cause I am not bringing my car into them ever again» I should’ve done more research. I didn’t find much on Unilocal about this type of business though but hopefully someone looking will make sure not to trust this place!
