The food is good, the décor is less than fabulous but the 15yr old server was polite. Skip the salad don’t even waist your time because you’ll be disappointed. The haleem was delicious but took over 30 minutes to be served. If you got time, don’t care about fancy, and a hole in the wall is acceptable to sit in for an hour, go for it.

They have the best nihari in town!!! And the best chicken karhai. Highly recommended for food lovers.

This is a great place. The food is authentic and absolutely delicious, probably my favorite of all the many Indian restaurants in the area, of which I“ve visited all. Price isn’t terrible either. My only problem is their lamb biryani is the best lamb biryani you’ll have anywhere in Washington state but they rarely offer it. Also, I’m not too picky, but more of ten than not my group ends up on the rickety round table that keeps wobbling.

Came here on a Friday for lunch. There was one other person eating in there while the other one was waiting for take out. I stood around for a while before someone came out of the kitchen to seat me. I ordered channa Dal and a chai. Dal was pretty good, and I was happy with it. Chai was made to order, and thus they were able to leave the sugar out like I asked. It’s a hole in the wall kind of a place. The décor was very very minimal while the service was friendly yet very limited. The food is definitely worth a try though.

This was my first time having paneer and it was unique in a delicious way with a hint of spice. Not a fancy place but it has a cozy and authentic feel. Portions are generous also.

Bhindi masala was top notch. Very promptly service ordering online through Eat24 for pickup. Couldn’t be happier about my favorite dish from Kabab House!

Nothing spectacular. While you won’t leave hungry but flavors and presentation don’t come even remotely close to some of best Pakistani food I have eaten Not a bad place to get your fix of curries and grilled meats.

We love this little place. I will get takeout at lunch and bring it home for dinner to avoid traffic in that area. We’ve had kababs, bhindi masala, malai kofta, chicken korma, paneer pakora, and more. It has always been plentiful and delicious. The cook exactly to your spice level request. I’ve never been disappointed in anything we’ve ordered Give it a try! The ambiance is lacking, as others have mentioned but the family is lovely and the food outstanding.

We ordered almost 6 – 7 different types of dishes and all were good. The taste was on point, but the best part was the meat was cooked perfectly and the kabobs are amazing! Loved the Naan and roti, they are pretty big as compared to many other places and yummy. They have limited seating, but good enough space, however, the ambience is not great. You can definitely go back for food.

Just moved to the neighborhood. Decided to try it out. Don’t even bother. Drive down the street to get real food. Made my husband’s stomach hurt. Food was over cooked. Not sure of service since he picked it up. Overall bad quality of meat. He got a mixed grill of items. Each were horrible.

The food here is simply awesome. Must have for non-vegetarians. It is a very casual place but the food makes up for it. My favorite is achari chicken.

Ok but not blown away. Unfortunately I found two hairs in the food the other day when I got delivery via EAT24. I asked for HOT level of spice and it was 2⁄5 stars. Lamb keema had good flavor but quite oily. Tandoor roti was slightly over cooked and crunchy. Raita was too thick and a little sweet. Maybe this is more of Pakistani style versus Indian… Being Indian I wasn’t too satisfied.

Simply put, you will not get chicken biryani better than the one here anywhere in Seattle area(I have lived in the area for more than 3 years and have checked out almost every Indian place there is)! This was a surprise find. It’s not in the 20th/24th street area of Bellevue or Redmond Town Center, not a big place with big board so easy to miss if you are just driving by. I happened to live nearby but didn’t know this place exists. Once when a friend was over, we felt hungry and I was craving Indian food. Wanted something quick so looked up nearby Indian restaurants and this one showed up. I was very hungry and didn’t have the patience to drive far. So we showed up here and ordered Chicken Biryani. Our minds were blown away when the Biryani was served! The spice level was just right(I can’t eat very spicy food) and the taste was amazing! I have had Biryani at a lot of places but the gravy and texture of rice was just perfect here. After this experience, I have been here multiple times, mostly on weekends and the food is always good. So much so that once I called ahead and made a reservation for 13 people. All of my friends loved it, including folks from other countries. The fact that it is run by a nice and warm family makes it even better. If you haven’t tried this place yet, you are missing out!

Definitely one of the authentic dum biriyani I have had. Do not get discouraged by the ambience, the food just overrides it all. The goat biriyani is a must have. Cities are also good. Kababs are must try. I just hoped they have rumali roti when I went there, but nope.

The food here is authentic and fantastic. Don’t let the uninspiring décor discourage you from going here. If you like Pakistani /Hyderabadi type of food, this is the place. Their Biriyani in particular is excellent!

It was around 4pm on a Thursday evening and we had a major craving for filling Indian food — specifically goat biryani. Many of our«go-to» options were not open for dinner yet, so were either going to have to wait an hour for dinner service to begin, or find an alternative. We found an alternative. We called ahead to make sure Kabab House was open, and mentioned we’d be there in a few minutes. When we arrived, I was a little underwhelmed because it’s a small place and the«Open» light was turned off… they were cleaning. We knocked and asked if they were open and they said they needed just a few minutes to get organized and they would be open. I realize that most sit-down restaurants need a break in the day so they can clean-up before dinner service; so I understand their situation and appreciate that they were so accommodating. We ordered way too much food, but it was good. We asked for a spice level of «mild» and it was mild. The service was good — everyone was nice and friendly. Food came out in a timely manner(granted, we were the only two people in the restaurant). Overall, we had a great experience and I would recommend for a casual weekday dinner. We have been back many times after this and the food is always delicious and the service is fantastic. :)

Terrible food. Tried it again after 4 years and still terrible. Looked at reviews and ordered stuff people suggested and what a waste! I don’t understand how this place is considered #2?! From the bottom perhaps? Btw, I accidentally ended up here recently because I looked at reviews and ordered online and then realized it was the place I never wanted to to go to again after I went there to pick up my order. Previously, I had two incidents where I found hair in the food. The one time I told the server, I think he said sorry, shrugged and walked away with my plate. Then, he came back with the full bill. I would have expected them to at least not charge me for it. Anyway, I won’t be going back there ever and would recommend you don’t either. If you do, you’re taking a risk on your own accord.

Chicken Biryani is haunting ~ so good. Also, a dish similar to Shai Paneer(paneer karahi) is properly done here, a bit rustic, spicy and comforting. About a year ago, I visited this location only to discover the biryani improved, if that is even possible. I only wish they remained in the utterly missed original Greenwood, Seattle location. such a privilege to have lived nearby.

5 stars. I thought long and hard about this. On one hand, I want to be objective and give this place the 4 that it deserves. On the other hand, it is a place that needs more patronage, and more people to know that it exists and I want to do my bit. So 5 stars for now. The service is not good. The food takes a while to get there. It is a small place. Your water glass may not be filled promptly. Everything on the menu may not be available. The restaurant has seen better times. The food however is very very good. It is prepared by a husband and wife team and they used to own a restaurant in Greenlake or Greenwood and then moved to Kirkland. The breads are fresh. The Paneer Karahi is exquisite. The dal is good. The Saag Chicken(or Palak Chicken) is good too. The bharta is decent. Yes, perhaps this is not enough to be going for a 5 star rating with. My gut feeling though is that the fundamentals are sound — they know how to make excellent food. The service not being good, the lack of staff etc is addressable if more people know about the place.
