I have done Pilates 2 times a week since 2002 at Balance Within. Pilates, especially the approach Balance Within and Gail Anderson(owner) takes, is most impressive. Gail has drawn on her education, movement and bodywork background, and incorporates it into hte approach to Pilates. She has provided teacher training at her studio for more than 15 years, training many Seattle area instructors. Because of her approach and diligance I have never had an unsatisfactory session in more than 11 years. They start each session asking how your body is and always adjust the session accordingly(think back, knees, neck, rotator cuff etc.). I highly recommend Balance Within. They will adjust session to your individual physical needs and also can step up the session to really give you a workout! Gail is also a trained massage practitioner for therapeutic massage. This has been most beneficial when I have had a «back flareup». It is amazing what she is able to do that has helped my back issues immensely. I highly recommend Balance Within. The studio is currently located at 7981−168thNE, Suite 106, Redmond, WA. 98052, 425−753−2408.

I’ve been going to this studio for months and have private sessions with different instructors. Some instructors are newer than others but overall they are very good. I enjoy their mat and reformer classes too. Great studio, reasonable price, and I am happy to gain flexibility.

The teachers at Balance Within are wonderful and full of knowledge. They tailor the program to the individual, so regardless of where you are physically, the teacher will meet you at your level. I’ve been to studios where teachers assign the same exercises to all of their clients with little idea as to what the point of the exercise is. At Balance Within you get the why, which equals intelligent Pilates and functional movement. Furthermore, it is a warm and inviting studio. I’ve left every session feeling 100x more centered at calm compared to when I first walked in.
