I contacted Don Waddell because about 30 feet of my six-foot wood fence was collapsting into the neighbor’s yard. I was afraid the recommendation would be an entire new fence, costing thousands of dollars — but it wasn’t. Don said his contractors could re-set three posts and use the same fence panels to make my fence strong and sturdy. It was a big job because of the uneven terrain. His contractor did an excellent job of rebuilding/repairing the fence and cleaning the debris from the yard when finished. The job was done on time and for the quoted amount. The five star-rating was earned — and I’ll happily be a repeat customer. While at my home, Don conducted a quick inspection of my roof, siding, and gutters and said all looked fine. He didn’t try to sell me something I didn’t need. I recommended him to my neighbors who noticed some buckling on their roof. Again, Don didn’t recommened a new roof — he recommended cost-effective repairs. The roof was fixed within days and for the amount quoted. Another happy customer.

America’s Best gave us the most comprehensive bid for less money and better materials than their competitors. Don Waddell was knowledgeable but also personable and honest. His workers were always respectful, and surprisingly neat! Our project involves replacing pier posts and jacking up part of our home, so it’s an extensive project. I can’t give the fifth star as we’re not completely finished, but I’m so glad we went with America’s Best because it was a tricky project that really required expertise. The other companies wanted to do much, much less work for much much more expense. –D. Sundstrom

I have been working with Don Waddell at America’s Best Construction for about 6 months now, and I know that I’ll have an even better update to this review after our house is finished. He is one of the few contractors you will meet that truly has his clients best interests in mind and is always looking to find ways to do a project better and more cost effective. I met Don while he was working for another company, as a master roofer. He came to my home in Seattle and gave us a bid for our roof, new skylights and a roof deck. I was pleasantly surprised when he came to the table with better ideas than I already had in mind. He brought things to our attention that we wouldn’t have noticed and we really felt he wanted to make our house be it’s best, while keeping our budget in mind. He even gave us pointers on projects that had nothing to do with the roof, just to be helpful. I can’t say enough great things about Don, his great ideas and his solid work ethic. Recently, we purchased a different home that needs a LOT of love and attention(HUGE remodel!!) and the first person we called was Don Waddell. We are excited that he will be working on our new home to bring it to life the way that best works for our family.
