Our room was clean, new and slept 6 people(2 adults, 4 kids) pretty comfortably. They said they had free wi-fi but it wouldn’t work. When I called the number for help I was told you had to walk down the road to the marina for wi-fi which wasn’t ideal given that the heat index generally was over 100 degrees. Also, we had a mishap with a clogged toilet… kids…I tried to call the number listed for assistance as there was no plunger in the room and I even left a message. This was around 9pm and no one ever called me back or ever mentioned the toilet. Hubby had to unclog it with the scrub brush! Otherwise we would’ve had to go in the woods that night! Everyday our trash was taken out and dirty towels picked up. I did have an issue – 6 people create a lot of garbage and they would only leave 1 extra trash bag – we are talking small kitchen garbage can size. We ended up with over flowing trash. We were here a week… I eventually had to leave a nice note begging for more trash bags! Also, one day we were going to rent a boat and spend the day on the lake. We called and went down to the marina at a little past8 am… no one was to be found. No one answered the phone or called us back. So we went around to swaha and spent our money there. The room was nice, clean. Bathroom had a huge tub. There was a fire pit where we made s’mores. The appliances in the kitchenette were new and very nice. Scenery was beautiful and quiet. If you stay here – bring your own boat! Cost was reasonable as well, I just wish the people who ran it were more accessible! Like I said – we stayed there a week and once my card was swiped on our first day I could rarely get in contact with anyone for help! All in all, we had fun.
