how the mighty have fallen! Sears used to be the go-to place 4 tools appliances and clothes. it is now a shadow of its former self. lots of merchandise available but nobody to help you. if you have a tool under warranty and it’s broken, don’t wait to get it repaired or replaced, do it now. I believe Sears is on its last legs and will soon be out of business.

Associates up my ass while I’m trying to shop… I don’t need to be asked constantly if I need help… I know what I want and need

Wife was shopping for clothes in the mall, so I figured that I would do the manly thing and look at tools. I made my rounds about the place and overheard the old guy at the cashier counter call for security. He must not have realized that I circled around and was behind him in the next isle. I listened to him explain to the undercover guard how I was walking in and out of the isles and was over in the corner by the pliers. Surprise! I’m right here watching the slovenly undercover guard look around for me. Really? I hate to break the news to you, but this is how people generally shop. Now I’ll make sure I don’t do it here anymore. There are plenty of places to look«suspicious» when I want to brainstorm garage ideas. This is why people shop online, and why Sears has to close stores. Now, I’ll go be extra suspicious while I waste the stores resources trying to watch me.

I use Unilocal for restaurant reviews but didn’t know where else to shout how awful SEARS is. We have made several big appliance purchases, from Kingston for weekend home and Paramus, NJ for main resident, all within past 12 months. Their home delivery and installation service is a nightmare. They can’t seem to schedule these thing properly, the installers are slobs and do a lousy job. Most recent example if new washer/drier we bought. The guys delivering it were pigs, leaving our place a mess and failed to hook it up correctly causing me to spend $ to have my plumber correct their crap job. Worse part is how they don’t ‘get’ or care about customer satisfaction… or customer service in the event customer satisfaction is not achieved and compliants are lobbied at them. Very low caliber customer service orientation even at the store managers level… awful. No wonder SEARS is a dinosaur with terrible, decling sales as evidence.

Whenever I walk into Sears, it’s like walking into a goldmine… a good goldmine that is! I always seem to find bargains here. The prices are representative of the quality of the item, and the quanity of items are always adequate enough to serve my needs. Employees care, they are actually out in the store, buzzing up every few aisles, going up to people and asking them if they need anything. It’s very rare when I have a question or feedback that goes unanswered… there is always someone closeby who can answer a question, or provide their own personal feedback on most of their items!
