If you are a new patient, the wait for an initial appointment is about three months so if you have an issue that needs fairly quick attention, this is not the place for you. The new office location is wonderful. Dr. Kircher has a decent reputation in the Kingston area. He’s pretty thorough. His office staff is so-so, rather slow with longer than average wait for check in. If you have animal allergies, this is not a friendly place because someone brings their dog to work everyday. Immediately I had respiratory issues upon entering the office. While people may think it’s great to bring their pets to work, they have no consideration for patients and. or co-workers who have allergies. Sadly, because of the dog, I will be looking for a new dermatologist with an allergy friendly environment.

My review is so essential, and I am hoping others will benefit from this. First of all I have only heard great things about this doctor;however this was not the case that I experienced After waiting almost 3 months for an appointment my expectations were high. Dr Kircher examined me(a yearly check up) He did remove(from my face) moles bumps etc. and then preceded to give me a full body check up, for which he declared that everything looked great and that he would see me next year. I left the office and made my appointment with one of the members of his staff. Upon returning to my car, I realized that I had forgotten to show him a red almost flat shiny mark on the tip of my nose. May I ask how he did not notice this and say something to me? Anyway I went back in the office and was told that this was a surgery day and the Dr. j would not be able to see me. However, I did not accept this answer and was told to come back in 2 hrs. I did, I waited and I again saw him. He looked at the spot said oh yes I did see that but thought it was a mole! He then preceded to look at it more closely and said Oh my I dont know what this is Oh my I have never seen anything like this. How would you feel, but wait it gets worse. He then took a biopsy, and at this point I was scared and asked him what would happen if the results did not come back favorably. He said«Oh I dont like to comment on that since it could be the difference between life or death.» I left the office numb scared and angry. How could a professional talk to a patient like this. Well needless to say I have transferred my record to a very capable practice in Poughkeepsie and after the biopsy came back I did have basal cell carcinoma and it has been treated. But remember, as I always will, that if I did not return to the office this situation would not have been taken care of perhaps for another year. My condition could only have gotten worse. Ask yourself if you want to be in the care of this___non professional! ____
