I’ll preface this review by stating that my son races competitively in gas karts and we have been to a number of tracks in the region. K1 in Kingston, MA exceeded our expectations from the moment we signed up during a rain rush(added more people at the front as the line grew) to our most recent when they stopped a race when an adult spun out a teenager. Ed and his team of former semi-pro and pro racers go above and beyond a mall attraction and boarder on the edge of being a race school. He takes the time to get to know the kids and the parents who visit K1 and seeks to understand their level of interest and experience. Ed is always quick with a compliment and a tip which boosts the confidence and times of the kids who keep asking to come back as soon as they leave. K1 has evolved into our de-facto practice track and will become one of our league circuits in the future. Employees like Joe, Matt, and Zach help pass on track knowledge to the kids in a fun learning environment. The best bang for your buck is to take advantage of the 3 or more race packages which you can save to your card/license and use another day. Our effective price per race is $ 11.00 which is less than what we pay to access the gas tracks. Try K1, talk to Ed, and you will keep coming back.

Not bad for a very quick and expensive treat. While the racing is fun, you realize that you pay $ 19 for one ride that last 5 minutes, was expecting something larger for that price. The wait times can be long, but do think they are working their kinks out. They may want to give people who check in a wait time as there were only a few people ahead of us and we waited almost an hour… While they say no bumping, it is prevalent and done often(sometimes cant be helped) but nothing was ever said to the habitual bumpers which can be dangerous.
