Okay, so I might be a little biased. First off, my dad is the guy who runs this business. However, I have watched how things have been run the whole time and I’ll be as objective as I can.
He started this business in 1993. It’s moved to different places, from a booth at a flea market, to a nearly abandoned industrial park, to Summer Street and now in a small building in front of his residence.
I have watched him bend over backwards for customers for years and years. If you’re having a computer-​emergency, he’ll pick up the phone on his own time and guide you through or schedule you to drop off your computer. Sometimes he’ll even come to people’s houses to fix computer issues. He knows his stuff and is very skilled and experienced in his field. He never over-​charges, either. I think he’s only raised his labor rate once in a decade.
The negatives are few, but there are negatives. He’s only one guy so his turn-​around will be a little bit slower than you’d get at a Best Buy. He finishes the job as fast as is humanly possible for him. Also, he’s catching up, but some of his hardware knowledge is still a little bit stuck in the late ’90’s/early 2000’s. He can fix any PC, sure. But if you’re trying to build some kick-​ass gaming rig, he might not be the one to recommend the best video card.
Summed up, friendly personal service at a reasonable price, however, no-​frills and not super-​fast but well worth it with the support and quality service.
