A co-worker recommended this place. Glad I listened. Being from New York and of Caribbean decent, it’s hard to find a wide range of food out here(that isn’t bbq, asian, Mexican, or a chain). So when i tried this place, I was hooked. The red beans and white rice definitely reminded me of my mother’s Haitian cooking and the blackened shrimp was to DIE for. I also had some fried green tomatoes(something I only tried after moving here) and they were great. Their baked potato is not your typical throw it in the oven(or microwave) and serve either. Loved it. Some minor cons: 1. It’s kinda pricey but at least i know what I’m paying for unlike other places. 2. One of the waitresses(the owner’s wife i guess) is rude, at least the one time I dealt with her, but the other guys and girls including the owner are awesome so that one encounter is insignificant and won’t prevent me from giving this place FIVE stars! Evidently, I can go on and on about this place, but it is definitely a must if you live here or visit the area.
