I went to this store with my girlfriend looking for fun, challenging, and unique games to keep around the house besides the normal stand-by’s(Monopoly, Yahtzee, Cranium, etc). This store was fantastic — they have just about every type of game you can imagine — and a lot that are perfect for just two people. They have a lot of really unique games I’ve never heard of before(like Abalone and Quarto) that seem to be really strategy-based, and make you think a bit differently than most games I’ve seen at Toys R Us. Hard to describe, but I guess my point is, it’s worth the trip — you’ll find things that are probably new and worth checking out. The games are also all really nice build quality — but I’ve found you’re paying for it. A game might be $ 15 at Target, but made of cardboard. In this store, it’d be $ 35, but the construction would be wood, glass, leather, etc. Last point — the staff there(at least the guy who was working with us — Benjamin) knows each game inside and out, and can show you how each game works. It’s really nice to preview the game before buying, and didn’t feel like a sales pitch at all. So yeah — this is my new go-to store for board games. Highly recommended.

This place is not obvious and a well spring to knowledge on earth. Without talking on my cellphone I fished around in the store looking for a golden fleece. A thought struck me. Magically, I bought a set of Rory’s story cubes. Which I used to write the above paragraph. :)

One of the most pleasant places in the mall, also one of the only places to promote thinking and growth. Easy-going, welcoming staff, especially the Manager who was nice enough to demo some games to show me how to play!

I don’t like the mall much but I’m happy to spend half an hour dicking around at Marbles. They specialize in games, puzzles and related items, and have many opened items that you can play with. Going in there makes me wish I was a game person. My kids are too little to play games with, but think I’m going to raise them to be game nerds. I’d rather play games with them than watch endless soccer matches. Anyway, have a look at Marbles, they seem like nice people and they let you play with their stuff.

I love marbles! Super fun store with all kinds of thinking games and cool little things to make you think while you play and have fun. I love walking around and testing out all of the little things they have set out to play with. I know if I buy anything from this place that it is built to last… everything in the store get played with 1000 times a day by all the people coming in and trying stuff out. Quality products. This is the type of store that a parent can buy their child a toy and feel good about it. Prices are a little high but I’m sure they need to cover intellectual property costs. My birthday is coming up so if anyone wants to get me the wobble chess set… I would love you forever.
