I stopped in on a whim about a month ago Saturday in the hope of reconnecting with Alexis so I could make an appointment, but as luck would have it, she had a cancellation and was able to take me back after a short 30 minute wait. I only got a haircut that day, but the difference it made was amazing. She really knows what she is doing, and her clients all love her. The entire time I was there, her clients were excited to see her and share about their lives which I guess is par for the course when you get your hair done. Even though I’ve only been going for a month, she remembers any events I tell her about and ask how they were. I’ve gotten my hair colored here twice and not only is the color exactly what I was looking for, but Alexis has already made me feel so comfortable with her! It’s literally like my friend is doing my hair, and the price is super reasonable. For a mall salon, the prices are definitely on point, even with Alexis’ recent promotion to the next stylist tier. (Congrats Alexis!)

The first time I went for a haircut and blow dry, I arrived at my appointment time and my operator was about halfway through cutting someone else’s hair. OK, I thought, anyone can get behind. But no one apologized or seemed to think it was unreasonable to keep me waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time without any explanation. I decided to give it another try because my teenaged daughter likes this salon and we can go together. But the second time, THEYWERESEATING A CUSTOMERINMYOPERATOR’S CHAIRAS I ARRIVEDONTIMEFORMYAPPOINTMENT. When I pointed out that it was time for my appointment and they should not be seating the other woman, the receptionist just shrugged me off and said — she’s just going to give her a dry cut; it will only take a few minutes. Like it was strange that I would raise an objection. 30 minutes later, the quick little dry cut was finally wrapping up but I’d spent 30 minutes sitting ten feet away steaming as they laughed and acted like they had all the time in the world — no rush. Apparently, there is NO respect for the idea of an appointment time at this salon. Hey, I make appointments because I’m BIZ-EEE ladies! I’ve never experienced such a lack of professionalism and such maddening indifference. Carrie — you’re a sweetie and I like your haircuts, but the disrespect is intolerable and that’s why I’ve disappeared. Not that you ever asked.

I’ve been going to Bubble for years(Carrie is great) but had a new stylist yesterday, Donna. She was fantastic. I was able to schedule a same day appointment, haircut was only $ 30 and she gave me exactly the cut I wanted. Such a sweet girl and she did a better job than I could have imagined. Stylists come and go here, but I’d definitely recommend you book an appointment with either Donna or Carrie.

Bubbles, as much as your name irritates me, I have become such a fan of your work! Just had my fourth visit in the past year here today. I’ve had the same girl cut my hair each time, but then this visit I was told she had left the salon and was randomly given another stylist — slightly panic-inducing! But May put me at ease right away. I always get super nervous when whoever is cutting my hair seemingly already has scissors in their hands ready to start chopping before even knowing if I’m there for a trim or a mohawk. This day, I had scheduled a cut, color, and full highlight session. So knowing I would be there for a while, May took about 15 – 20 minutes just talking me through the process; we talked about colors and picked out the right combo together, and she also asked a bunch of questions about how I styled my hair normally, and what kind of cut I was looking for. She gave tons of great advice as what styles would work best with my hair and my normal hair routine, and what styles wouldn’t be best. She also helped me realize that I wasn’t looking for a full highlight, just a partial. I had no idea what the difference was, but even though the partial highlight was less expensive, she told me it was probably more what I was looking for.(She was right!) Prices are also well under what I would normally pay elsewhere! Haircuts are about 30 bucks, and they have plenty of package deals to help save you money. I’ve never had any trouble making appointments even just 24 hours before I plan on going, and everyone that I’ve encountered has been very nice! I can’t wait to go back, and you should feel the same way. ps, ask for May! pps, if you work in the mall, go during Monday-Wednesday and ask for 20%(I think) discount.

So, my fiancé needed his hair cut and we just moved to the area. I found this salon on Unilocal and they seemed to have decent reviews. We had a 12:30 appointment and we didn’t get taken back until 12:50. The place was dead and there was no reason we should have had to wait. We almost walked out and now wish we had. The receptionist was rude and was sucking on a phallic looking green lolly pop. Totally unprofessional! We were so disappointed after his appointment! His stylist took out a pair of clippers from her bottom drawer and it didn’t look like they had been used since she was in school. The cord was all tangled and she couldn’t find her attachments. She was frazzled and looked annoyed that he was asking for a zero and two blade. She also said twice that the cut was goin to be $ 25 and asked if that was okay. Like we couldn’t afford it or something? It was strange. I’ve never had someone quote the price before starting to cut my own hair. She started to cut his hair and was using repetitive, rough, short strokes. She actually hurt him. We couldn’t wait to get out of there. When we checked out, the receptionist was still rude and was still sucking on that stupid lolly pop. His hair looked horrible and it was not blended at all. We ended up leaving and getting it fixed at a shop down the street.

I used to go to salons in Princeton, NJ, so the prices here seemed ridiculously low for such a nice place. $ 30 to cut my very long hair, and only an additional $ 10 for a full steam treatment, though the treatment used was not a particularly expensive one(I believe it was a mixture of Cibu International products). My hairdresser(sadly I don’t remember her name) gave me a lovely cut, with gentle advice to suit my face shape and hair texture, and was very attentive. Scheduling an appointment was very easy. I’ll definitely be going here again.

This was my second visit to Bubble Salon. I got a great cut the first time so I thought I would give it another try. I am so fearful of salons that I don’t go as often as I should. I scheduled with Calena again hoping it wasn’t first times a charm. There was no charm other than trusting in Calena and scheduling with her. She gave me a great shampoo massage while listening to what I wanted. Calena continued to check in with me that I was comfortable taking the leap into a new style. All in all I walked out of there with a great new look and confidence in the stylist and salon. I will continue to go to Bubbles as long as Calena works there!

This is a great salon. Carrie is my stylist, and she is a virtuoso with the scissors. Seriously, she is the best hair stylist t I have ever had, anywhere.(I’ve lived in NYC, Boston, the San Francisco Bay Area.) I found Carrie, and Bubbles, by accident. A day before, I had had my hair butchered by someone at a high-end salon. I guess they figured they weren’t going to make any big money off of me when I resisted their recommendation that I get some costly highlights! So, I was despondent, and wandering around the KOP mall, when I spotted Bubbles. It was busy, and had a good vibe to it. I felt like I could not go to work the next day looking like I did, I signed up as a drop-in, and Carrie worked wonders with my horrid cut. I’ve been hooked ever since. For $ 35 – 40(plus as big a tip as I can afford, because Carrie is worth all of that and more) Carrie gives me a cool, easy to do style that gets me compliments for months.(And sometimes it is several months, since I live hundreds of miles away now, and I put off haircuts until I can get back to the Philadelphia area and get an appointment with Carrie!) Plus, she changes the cut slightly every time, which keeps it fresh. Carrie is a very warm, kind, friendly, artistic person with an absolute gift for cutting hair. She is very visual, like a lot of excellent stylists, so it always helps to bring pictures of styles you like. She will collaborate with you to come up with something that works for you.

I have been going to this place for the last 4 – 5 years for haircuts and eyebrow waxes. I absolutely love the place. The staff there are very cool and fun, and I feel very comfortable going in and acting a little silly no matter who is there. I have had a few different stylists as my regular, but for the last four years it has been Carrie. This chickadee is absolutely top notch, and I only let someone else cut my hair if she’s not available and I look like a chia pet. She’s a lot of fun to talk to, and she ALWAYS makes my hair and eyebrows look perfect every time I walk out of there. She’s also done some highlights for me over the years, and I have always been happy with them. They are a little pricey($ 25 for a man’s haircut, $ 15 for eyebrow wax, shampoo is included), but it’s well worth it. I have NEVER seen someone walk out of there with their hair looking like a mess. They can do just about any style you can give them a picture of. Sometimes I do have to stick around later than the specific appointment time because Carrie is running late. But believe me folks, it’s worth the wait.

So I made an appointment at Bubbles for the 2nd time in the last 3 years. For what ever reason I haven’t had a regular hair dresser in years… I guess I’m pretty simple when it comes to hair: trim, blowdry, thanks. So of course since I was a new customer, they gave me a relatively new employee. First impression: They were 45 minutes late with my appointment. The excuse was that the lady before me had too much hair. I was ABOUT to walk out when the guy finally came by to apologize and bring me back. And it surprisingly got worse from here… while the stylist was OK, he was nice and friendly, even got a free waxing for making me wait, he made me face either the wall behind me or the person next to me the ENTIRE time he did the trim and blowdry. I mean, seriously, there’s a mirror directly in front of the seat for a reason. the ONLY time I was faced towards the mirror was at the very end. For all I know, my hair could have been a massacre and I would only find out till he was done. Final take: Nice guy, but not nice enough for me to make another trip here.
