In weight room, one on one instruction on how to use the machines and a fitness evaluation for all new members. Well lit pool, lap swimmers sharing with kids play area, big windows to the outside on one wall, and windows facing sit down waiting area along another wall. Gymnastics classes for kids, many stations, all spotted by staff. Boot camp super workouts for the tough. Vending area. Big parking lot. Well appointed locker room. My dad lives just down the street from this YMCA and we have made it a regular visit when we are up North visiting. I love the open gym time for my 7 and 9 year old. They have a huge room of gymnastic equipment for this kids to run around on for hours. The pool is also a lot of fun though the slide never seems to be running. The family locker rooms are quite spacious and clean. We make a whole day of it. They have a little hotdog stand but limited hours.

I get to go to this YMCA for free whenever I stay at the Hilton Garden Inn nearby. Since my hotel only has a really small gym with crappy equipment, this is a GREAT place for a workout instead. There is an indoor track, tons of ellipticals and treadmills, great weight area and mat area for stretching. I love working out at this gym! I always forget to bring a lock so I carry everything in my jacket and put it on the side when I go running. Nobody has ever told me to put my jacket somewhere else. Only compaint is that all the TVs are like stuck on Fox News. Blegh. Where’s the CNN?
