A number of years ago, skiing with a group of friends/famiy I was surprised to find Ana’s Empanada hut near Skyship express, mid mountain. We went in to warm up, tried the empanadas and it was decided — we would be visiting every trip! Over the course of the years I’ve tried all flavors, like some more than others, based on personal tastes. 2015 showed a newly rebuilt venue at Skyeship with a new vendor but I took the time to seek out Ana’s Empanadas, newly relocated in SnowShed(not easy to find, but worth it!) I routinely take packs of empanadas(before stuffed in my jacket, now in a bag) to take home to those family members who could not make the trip but are hankering for the Ana’s experience. Does this say it all?

Friend brought us chicken and pork empanadas as a late night snack. They were still warm and really hit the spot, especially the tangy green chile salsa.

These are some of the best empanadas i’ve ever had! It took us a while to get here but it was totally worth it. They have 8 – 9 different flavors and the spicy green sauce they use is fantastic. A must go if you go to Killington.

The empanadas are small, expensive and simply not tasty at all. We left half of them!

We actually had Ana’s Empanadas on the slopes near the Skyeship Express Gondola. THEYARESOOOGOOD! We tried almost every flavor. The hubby liked the Pulled Pork the best. I think I liked chicken and cheese the best. Prices were a little high, but not bad in the grand scheme of things(compared to the food in the lodges). There was a butternut too and that was like a dessert! It had butternut squash and sweet potato-yummy! I ate way more than I should have just because it was so good. If you are skiing there, you must make a stop in here when you are looking to warm up and eat some good food.

Nice place. After a day of skiing it was only minutes away from Ramshead lodge, so we give it a try. Empanadas was tasty and just from the oven. Small selection of beer, but they had cider.
