This is a remote spot that is easily overlooked by travelers on their way to «bigger» places. The tragedy is that if you do pass it by you’ll be missing some of the tastiest pastries you’ll find in Killeen. Each baked treat is hand crafted and reflects traditional German baking. From the chocolate stuffed glazed croissant to the pretzel brotchen, each pastry is guaranteed to satisfy. My current favorite is a rectangular shaped laminated dough(just like a croissant or a pan au chocolate) glazed with poppy seeds. In a word — delicious. In addition to the superb baked goods, the staff is engaging and warm. If you don’t know what you want, they’ll help you decide. If you don’t know what something is, just ask and you’ll get a great story. The only downside of is the operating hours. They function with a traditional German Bakery schedule. They are closed on Sundays and Mondays and operate from 7am — 3pm on the remaining days of the week. On top of that, you should get there by 9:30am(10:00am at the latest) if you want your choice of the best baked treats there! All in all, don’t pass this little bakery by. Stop in, get a treat, and start your day with a taste of Deutschland!
