I went to Panther Fabrication at the recommendation of another welding shop in Kilgore, as they couldn’t help me. My issue was my mobile home had a gas tank mounted with the tow package along with the back bumper, and the entire assembly was literally hanging on by about a half inch of metal bracket. The rest of the bracketing had broken sometime during our cross country trip from California to Louisiana. We noticed the issue in Kilgore and in our ignorance thought«Hey, we should get this welded back up, quick!’. Needless to say, we couldn’t(fortunately) find a welder dumb enough to weld everything back up with a gas tank attached. The owner of Panther took a look at what I was dealing with, very regretfully informed me he wouldn’t risk the life of one of his employees or himself to fix the issue, and sadly wished me luck. I was still in the parking lot 10 minutes later trying to figure out what to do when he came back. He took another look and offered to give me a ratchet strap to sort of temporarily hold the thing up until I could find a more permanent solution. He took it on himself to strap everything back up, very tight, refused any payment for the strap, not even lunch for himself and his employees, nothing! Long story short, that ratchet strap lasted the rest of the trip back to California, with stops in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area for a week, along with stops in a OKC, New Mexico, Arizona and then finally home. That ratchet strap, freely given, basically saved our vacation. I couldn’t have been more grateful to that gentleman, and I sincerely hope that his good deed brings him a suitable reward in some way, shape or form. If you’re reading this, sir, you really saved us a ton of time and trouble, and we are so very thankful for your help.
