Wow. This place is just bad. The comments on service are spot on. A bunch of non-helpful teens talking about their latest hike that can’t be bothered to help customers. Selection is horrible, too. No beef, no pineapple, no non-frozen bread. Not sure how and why this place exists. I’m just pissed at the Internet for sending me here, more than I am annoyed that I have to shop at SaveMore, which looked scary as heck, but at least can provide the essentials. Healthy hut, you suck.

When you walk in you get the feeling you have crashed a party you weren’t invited too. Workers talk to each other but never greet you or even ask how they can help you. Terrible customer service. Price gouging and clear exploitation of the health conscious tourist. I found Hoku Foods in Kapaa to be a better option and worth the drive to have great customer service and reasonable prices.

Where do I begin??? Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service, every cashier there has the worst attitude I’ve ever seen/experienced almost out of anywhere I’ve been in my life… except the one older hippie guy. he was nice but everyone else needs a rude awakening badly, pretentious hippies are the worst. Overpriced like a mofo and yea I understand it’s Hawaii and paradise tax and all that jazz but dang it’s like you have to get a loan to buy some bare essentials.

I’m not sure why people are complaining about pricing here. We went to 3 other markets and their black dog hot sauce was $ 9 and $ 10. Here it was only less than $ 7!!! Great selection and much better than your corporate Whole Foods Market.

I’ll be honest, I thought this place was a little pretentious when I walked in but the more time I spent, the less I felt that way. Some the patrons were a little fussy but the store was well stocked and the staff was great. I got the feeling they were genuine and really believe in healthy living. The biggest downside was they had no restroom.

This was just a, let’s go look inside stop after eating at a stop next door. Before you enter this place you will find the front of the store lined with beautiful, beautiful red ginger flowers, you can’t help but stop and touch this beautiful plant. At the entrance they do offer tropical flower bunches for purchase. The store is small but manages to carry a variety of ethnic food. There are jars, cans, boxes, and packages of an array of neat food, from sauces to cookies. They also squeezed in a fresh salad bar. On the other side of the store were the fresh produce and cold drinks. In the back there is a seating area to enjoy your meal or drinks. The prices we found quite high, but if that doesn’t matter to your pocket book then you have come to the right place for healthy options. I would pop in again out of curiousity.

Anyone notice how the majority(not all) of high ratings come from females and most of the lower ratings from males? I experienced this demographic bias myself as I went in and a local woman was shooting the s-t with a male checkout clerk. I walked up to pay for my item and the woman tells me to «go to the other counter» while the clerk dumbly just looks at me. Anytime I’ve been in there, which is only when it is a necessity, I get treated like this. They need to do something about their service employees and the female shoppers need to learn some manners.

We’ve been staying nearby for the last week and I’m addicted to their smoothies! We’ve also bought ingredients for breakfast and snacks. The service here is always wonderful, big smiles and warm welcomes. In comparison to the rest of the island, this is where your money gets you quality ingredients. The rest of Kauai has been an expensive foodie-disappointment(flooded with inexperienced cooks trying to make a buck). I’m so happy I found this oasis.

Healthy Hut does a good job of offering unique organic products. I think they truly strive to be an ethical business by offering only the best, well reaearched products. You can be assured that anything you buy here is GMO free, pretty sure its all organic, many local products… They are attention detailed. Convinent location and hours. I shop here between my trips into ‘town’.

I love this place, yeah it’s a little pricey, but I love to come in and know everyone by name and know that I’m getting quality food! They also have this herbal bubbly drink called Jin Elixirs that I can’t seem to find anywhere else! It’s the bomb!

I gotta say when you put the label«Organic» on it, does it automatically allows you to charge more for an item? At Wealthy Nut… Er, I mean Healthy Hut, this place really knows how to rake in the dough! After going to Kauai 3 times this week, and finding myself working in the Princeville area… on my way back to the airport, I needed a quick cup of joe, as I was really really tired. I pulled into this little store, to grab a cup of joe not thinking anything, but upon picking up a large cup of coffee & a chocolate chip cookie and paying at the register… the clerk tells me it’s $ 6.44. Dammmmmm! I know the cookie was individually wrapped… but does labor cost that much??? Geez!!! This little market sells basically healthy organic stuff(like a very smaller scale Whole Foods Market, only more expensive), and they also have a very small café inside that sells coffee, espresso, smoothies, and other stuff. I guess since this place is located out of nowhere… the prices are what it is! You either pay for the convenience, or you continue to drive down the road till you find some other place that sells a reasonable cup of coffee.

Best health food store on the North shore! They have a nice selection as well as delicious salad bar/deli foods and smoothie bar! We eat there a lot! I recommend it with five stars!

Way over priced. More than any other shop we’ve been in on this island. Salad bar was minuscule. Smoothie bar looked good. One guy working was aloof and not friendly. One guy was not. The location is great. Would not comfortably recommend. Too bad; they have a good opportunity and are missing it. Try Pacos Tacos outside and Tege Tege shave ice!

I love Healthy Hut! Great location, superb hours and friendly, knowledgeable staff. I do most of my grocery basics shopping here and have really enjoyed the juice bar as well. Yum!!! Love you all and much Aloha!

Staff was friendly, the inside was neat and clean. I like the fact everything in the store is organic. Negatives, parking not enough, super expensive and employees while friendly were not dressed in a professional manner and needed to wear deodorant or take a shower!

Nice, convenient location. They have a great salad bar in the back, as well as a smoothie counter and baked goods. The produce is somewhat limited and they are generally over-priced, but overall they offer the basics and a healthier alternative than the competition. If you are kamaaiana, make sure you get on their shopping card.
