I needed coffee and lets admit it, I wanted some pie as well. Spotted the sign and walked into a lovely cool place. The display of pies on the counter is very inviting. My wife went next door for some gelato and I ordered a slice of Lilikoi pie. It was fantastic! However, there was a problem with the coffee filter so I had to wait a bit for a cup. The sweetheart working the counter(Ashley, I believe) was so nice and had such a warm friendly demeanor that I really didn’t mind about the delay. After all, she wanted me to have a fresh batch of coffee with my pie. How was she supposed to know there would be a filter failure? It was her attitude and friendliness that turned what would have been an annoyance into a pleasant experience. I wish more people in the customer service business were as nice as her. Never had Lilikoi pie before. It’s sort of like a key lime pie but more tropical. Not bubble gum sweet like passion fruit. The couple next to us was having chicken pot pies that smelled wonderful. Looking forward to that. Thanks again to Ashley and the proprietors of Maui Pies.

Here I am, back on the mainland, wishing desperately for another piece of Lilikoi Pie from Maui Pie. Thanks to them, I am forever spoiled to any other pie! My husband and I found them via Unilocal when we were looking for a tasty after-dinner treat in Kihei. We were ecstatic to find that they still had a huge variety of pies from which to choose, even though the variety made the choosing difficult. I tried Coconut Cream Pie and my husband tried the Chocolate Haupia Pie. Both were astoundingly delicious. So delicious, in fact, that we purchased two more slices to take home with us — Lilikoi and Mountain Berry. I devoured the Lilikoi pie as soon as we got home, despite having devoured a slice of Coconut Cream not long beforehand. I was smitten from the first taste. I even made my husband stop by Maui Pie on our way to the airport the next day so that I could take a slice of pie on the plane with us. No joke. The pie crust was flakey and divine. The fillings perfectly not-too-sweet and so, so, SO tasty. If you are in Maui, no matter where you are on the island, drive to Maui Pie in Kihei. It will be one of the best decisions you ever make.

We picked up 2 chicken pot pies & individual slices of pie for dessert for the three of us from Maui Pie & were so glad we tried them. The individual size pot pies are large & fed the 3 of us with a little left over & were so amazing. Their prices are really reasonable too. We’re staying at a condo so we bought the frozen pot pies(you can buy them hot & ready to eat also) which made for a great meal in last night with tasty food. The pie crust almost melts in your mouth & the seasonings are perfect. All their pies are made daily so they’re very fresh & delicious! We plan on going back again before we leave since we were so happy with both the savory & sweet pies. And besides, there are a lot of amazing dessert pies to try!

Pure heaven. Words can’t describe how much I am in love with you, Maui Pie. Beautiful mini pies with scrumptious crust and fillings, fresh baking pie aroma permeating the air, happy helpful staff, and a great little bakery! I will be back many many times.

Amazing. Savory chicken pot pie was amazing. The crust was so good I was disappointed when my fork accidentally brought up a piece of chicken. Crust… crust… it’s as flaky and crisp and tasty as it can be. Just let me have the crust. For dessert we had the«mountain berries» pie — blackberry, strawberry, and raspberry. Unrestricted five stars, in the league with triple berry pie at Lahaina Grill. Such great berries, great crust. Then the ultimate test: We went back a second time and bought their cherry pie. Check out the photos with my profile — my wife was a champion cherry pie maker before we married, and she continues to make the best cherry pie in the world. No commercial pie, nor anyone elses, comes close. Until now. Maui Pie’s cherry pie is not as good as my wife’s. But it is comfortably nestled in second place. Somehow they’re getting great tart cherries in Maui. Shipping them in from Michigan, maybe? I prefer a regular crust to their crumble crust, but it still tasted just like it should. Perfect flavorful cherries, great flaky crust, all delicious. Early afternoon the take-out selection of pies is still huge, so I don’t think they’re selling out each day. Fine with me.
