Love the location of this condo. Close(walking distance less than 20min) to all you would need. With a rental car we were able to hit everywhere we needed in decent timing. The front desk staff, mostly a woman named Patti(I hope I remembered her name properly!) were very helpful, warm and friendly. We found our unit #231 through VRBO and are completely pleased with everything in this condo. Our unit is a cozy studio, with modern updates(beautiful bathroom and tiled shower with rain/massage streams, great kitchen with glass stovetop, huge sink and dishwasher) and decorated beautifully! The owners clearly have an eye for design — everything in the condo is well coordinated in hues of turquoise, green and and chocolate. The suite includes wifi(fast!), TV(we were able to catch the Super Bowl), and free calls to Canada/US(great for family back home in Canada, and for the local calls we didn’t want to place on our cells). Parking was free with the rental, too! They also included towels, beach towels, beach chairs, an umbrella and a laundry basket which were all a huge help. No laundry in unit, but there is coin laundry on each floor. Our particular unit was equal parts parking lot view as it was ocean view, but we were pleased. It’s only a short walk to the beautiful sandy beach which is great to swim in. The pool is also well maintained, though somewhat busy. Love that they have multiple barbecues by the pool! Our flight home was much later than our check-out time, and the front desk staff happily offered to hold our luggage until they close. Also love that this is a non-smoking property — everything is fresh and clean. Overall, we loved our stay, and would be happy to return.

Unit 501 is awesome !!! I love this place ! its perfect for a couple or a large family. It’s nice and quite and right on the beach. When I went there were 6 people and we shared unit 501. its a nicely remodeled 1 bedroom with a comfortable bed, a nice air mattress and a a futon all were top of the line. Even with 6 adults there we all had our own space. It was also really great that the unit has its own really fast wifi. Unit 501 is stocked !!! it has a full kitchen, nice clean linens, ice chest, boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach mats and chairs. there isn’t really anything back to say about this place. All six of us can’t wait to go back again.

Wifi was spotty which could be a nuisance when you rely on the Internet for local recommendations. Our oceanview room was closest to the ocean But bear in mind that it is still about a quarter mile from the ocean and your view will be obscured by palm trees. Otherwise we had a great time here, kitchen was well stocked with any type of dishware, cutlery, and utensils one would need. It was also nice that there was a boogie board, cooler, towels, and flippers available too in the closet. We had a great time here but i can’t speak for the cancellation policy policy DB experienced, that sounds like a nightmare.

Kauhale Mahai booking is a fraud. I booked a two-bedroom ocean-view condo on Mar 8. Unfortunately, my son got sick and we couldn’t fly. I got a medical note from the doctor that it’d be unsafe for him to fly. I called the KM management ten days later, four days before the arrival date, explained the situation and wanted to cancel the reservation. However, they have already charged my credit card and refused to return the money. After many calls back-and-forth(between Expedia, where I booked, and KM), their claim was that Expedia charged me and already paid the money to KM, which they did not want to return to Expedia. Finally, I managed to strike a deal: For every day they rent out, they will return me the $ 204(the special Expedia rate that I paid). It seems like they didn’t bother to advertise the condo too much, as the condo hasn’t been rented, even though it was during the spring break. Finally, I found a customer willing to rent the condo, and he called KM directly to re-rent my condo. Customer’s first call: Sorry sir, no condos are available.(WTF??) My first call: The booking supervisor confirms my unrented condo is available. Customer’s second call: Sorry sir, we have no condos are available for the period 3⁄27 — 3⁄31.(The agent didn’t say they had a condo available till 3⁄30.) My second call: The supervisor says the customer requested ONE day that was unavailable, but was too incompetent to say WHEN the condo actually was available. Customer’s third call: A booking agent quotes him the $ 302 /night rate + $ 100 cleaning fee! My third call: The booking supervisor refuses to give the customer my rate and that way re-rent the condo. They obviously neither tried nor wanted to re-rent the condo and have totally unreasonable fraudulent cancellation policy.
