Nemo is absolutely one of my favorite local sushi restaurants. The waterfront view is awesome. The crispy duck roll appetizer is the 100% best item on the menu. I could order that as my meal and I’d be very happy. The rolls are GIGANTIC. Minus one star because they’re borderline too big. BYOB.

Pretty good Thai curries and some interesting options for sushi rolls(hot eel appetizer is delicious!). Service is slow and not that great but being a BYOB and having a fantastic deck to watch the sun set over the water makes this place my favorite place in Keyport for dinner.

It was ok. The edamame were very fresh and very good and the yellowfin sashimi was great; the rest of the food all had the same taste and was very dry. The shrimp tempura was so over cooked it was hard and chewy like jerky. I left hungry without wanting to eat any more food from there.

NEVERAGAIN will i order from this place. Got the kani and mango salad with no dressing and then white fish amd ponzu with no ponzu sauce. Called them to let them know and the guy SCREAMED at me and said what do you want me to do about it? REALLY!!? thats customer service? Never again im disgusted.

My favorite for Thai food. Even though I don’t go for sushi, it’s a major part of their menu and everyone I’ve taken to Nemo’s is crazy about theirs. The chicken pad Thai has just the right amount of zip(mild) «to go», and I order a little more spice when I dine in. In summer the deck view of the Keyport Harbor is lovely.

Love this place! Has been a favorite for years now. Cheap, great food, always fresh and great view of the Keyport water(deck view). The staff is always friendly .It’s an awesome spot. And you need to try their fried green tea ice cream — it’s what won me over ! I always get the snow ball roll and it hasn’t disappointed me yet.

Thai food doesn’t taste Thai its not authentic pad Thai taste like Chinese food the Japanese udon taste like Chinese food. For the price they should make it more authentic taste. Sushi was mediocre its warm and doesn’t taste fresh. I bet the Chinese food would be good though lol. I would say on a nice day good to go to if you bring drinks and order Chinese or pick food like dumplings and and small plates

Great ambiance, service and presentation. Most of their dishes(hot and cold) are above average but not great. The view and consistency keep bringing me back with the hope I’ll find something on the menu to wow me.

Nemo’s is a discovery by my daughter. We started getting take out Sushi but have gone there several times. I have brought out of town family and they still talk about it. The service can be brisk but they servers recognise us now and we do get a smile. The pictures on the menus are helpful. The food is usually good but inconsistent at times so they did loose a star.

Went there on date night with my husband. Sat outside on deck at sunset. Great service and ambiance. Delicious sushi and duck egg roll appetizer. BYOB is great too! We will be back!

Calling this place ‘Asian Fusion’ would be like me spitting in a plate of pasta and calling it American Italian Fusion. Simply offering dishes from different asian countries doesnt qualify for ‘Fusion’. This is one of those typical low budget spots that manages to fool the locals into believing its a good dining experience. Shrimp/Vegetable Tempura appetizer consisted of two thin measly shrimp coated three times in Tempura batter served with a bunch of bland vegetables and overly salty sauce. The two specialty rolls i ordered were also overly salty with some sort of mystery fish meat inside the roll. No beer and a freakish bug in my glass of coke was the icing on the cake. If i lived in a trailer park and this place was my ‘Saturday Night Out’ after getting my welfare check then maybe id love it, but as it is, its a horrible place.

4 stars is generous, but I think we hit them on an off night. It was the first REALLY nice day of the spring and they seemed extremely short staffed. Luckily, we were out on the deck and just hung out with a 6-pack and watched the sun set over the ocean – hard to complain about that. Sushi, when it did arrive over an hour later, was fine. A bit heavy on the brown rice, but fish was fresh. Guys, just get some more staff and start using seamless.

Nice place, street parking, good food and good prices. Sushi was a little warm. Nice water view if you sit outside too. Indoor seating is decent, not that large of a place

What an amazing little restaurant. I have gone to Nemo’s on 4 separate occasions and I have been overly satisfied each time. The atmosphere is very«Hell’s Kitchen-esque»; low lit, small and personal, and the owner may just wait on you himself. The food plating is quite impressive also; each dish is artistically prepared and very elaborate. The sushi and sashimi and rolls are delicious and filling, and the prices are perfect for the area(Note: I’ve only ordered sushi, sashimi, and rolls; never ordered the chinese entrees). Overall, it is my favorite place to go in the Keyport, Hazlet, Middletown area… 5 stars hands down ***To the man who gave one star: Shame on you. You and I both know you are a ringer for another Hibachi/Sushi/Chinese place.

Great place to go as they offer so much and sure to please everyone in the family. They offer Chinese, Thai, sushi and more. Gluten free no problem just tell them and they will make it. Not in the mood for sushi, Thai, Chinese or Japanese food? A plain piece of fish is what you are craving? The Sea bass and Salmon are excellent. Thai is not a favorite of mine so I have never tried it here. They are so accommodating and nice. Beautiful views of the water. This place is very enjoyable, reasonable and ByoB. Great for groups just make a reservation. Owner is always there making sure everything is done right. He is such a good person. During hurricane Sandy he helped so many people by donating food to the high school where the storm shelter was.

My fellow Unilocalers have let me down. I called on Mother’s Day for a reservation for 6 people. No problem but outdoor seating was not available, which was one of the bigger reasons we chose Nemo. When we arrived we were promptly seated. There were clearly tables open outside but we figured they were reserved. We sat for a while before one of only two servers came to take our drink order. Another 15 minutes passed before anyone came back with the drinks and to take our order. After that it was probably a good 20 minutes before we got our appetizer. At this point the tables outside were still open and many people were leaving. We asked again to sit outside and all of a sudden a table was free. Our party ordered some sashimi and some Chinese food. The sashimi was underwhelming and the slices were cut thick and sloppy. The Chinese food was better but not the best. Service was slow and inattentive. Food was mediocre. The best part of this place was the outdoor dining and even that was flawed by the power line hanging low overhead and trash cans in the lot below. I could not recommend this place.

Great sushi with wonderful ocean view. The green tea was tasty and refreshing. These rolls are seriously thick. Most rolls will take two bites or else you may look a little rude. The black dragon roll has eal on the inside and on top for an amazing sushi sandwich. Get excited.

Unfortunately, over this past year Nemo has taken down turn in both quality of food and service. They are not bad mind you but are no longer the lofty 5 stars they use to be. Bottom line: We will still go here on occasion but not as often as we use to. To that end they will be removed from my Best of the best list as well.
