We had our daughter’s 2015 Forester retrofitted with hand controls. Ron and especially, Ray, the technician did a fantastic job explaining what they could or couldn’t do for us. This is our second car we had adapted so we were particular about the function, look and quality of the system. They met all of our expectations and then some. They even called the manufacturer of the hand control system we selected to confirm how to handle the new air bags in the 2015 at the knees of the car. This is important and we think their efforts were awesome. Ray is a seasoned pro and he has done a great job for my daughter and we would highly recommend them.

We also had dreadful experience. First we are told«its not our fault. The conversion co needs to fix.» Then we are charged $ 165 for them to tell us what is wrong. Then the dealer, Tate, needs 2 days to fix. After 2 days, my daughters nurse is told Eastern Mobility has to finish the thing. One more day. My handicapped daughter will miss 3 days of her day program, sitting at home. Her lawyer had the &165 refunded. What is this?! This was a cash $ 37,000 purchase and this is not acceptable behavior. I hope we will not regret this. Ron, who handled the sale was delightful but the the backup crews leave a lot to be desired. In future I will have her attorney interact with Eastern. One excuse after another«We dont do this/that.» Three days for something minor? I shudder to think what anything significant will need repair while still under warranty. Now, where is the car? When will it be repaired?

1 star b/c you can’t give 0 or negitive star I requested a written quote from Eastern Mobility to remove and reinstall a wheelchair lift attached to my vehicle, which was damaged in an accident and requires removal of the lift for body work, and to also diagnose the repairs needed to fix the intermittent operation issues of the lift. The quote I received included separate labor hours to remove the lift and to also reinstall the lift there was no mention of an «estimate fee» and I was NEVER informed verbally of any such fee either. After receiving the quote I had my vehicle delivered to Eastern Mobility. After the lift was diagnosed«needs to be replaced» for over $ 9500, I opted to pick the vehicle up and get a second option. Subsequently, I was informed that I had a bill of $ 370($ 50 storage + 3hrs @ $ 80 estimate fee + 1 hr @ $ 80 for meeting with my insurance adjuster). I explaining to the owner that I felt the charges were unjustified because they hadn’t been disclosed prior, he then gave an analogy; that if I go McDonalds I wouldn’t expect to get a free hamburger. Clearly his analogy is flawed, prices at McDonalds are clearly displayed. The owner had an attitude of entitlement to any money I may or may not have received from my insurance company. He demanded that I take part in a 3-way call to my insurance company to confirm whether I had received a check or not. He also stated that I wouldn’t have received any money from my insurance company if they(Eastern Mobility) hadn’t written a quote for me. The owner offered to reduce the bill by deducting the storage fee and explain that I was getting a deal, because he wasn’t going to charge me for additional storage charges that weren’t included in my original bill. I have since received a written estimate from another company to repair the lift for $ 2000. And it only took them 1 hr to diagnose the lift, not 3 hrs!!! This guy is rude and abrasive and a total scammer!!!

We have had the worst experience with Eastern Mobility! My mother bought a ramp van from Ron at Eastern Mobility. The electronics, motorized ramp, leveling system and other components of the van had failed many times over the years. Every time she would bring the van in for service it turned into a huge problem and nothing would be in 100% working order. My mother had always complained about how much of a pain it was to get anything done at Eastern Mobility and to this day the van still does not have all of the parts that had been purchased. Eastern Mobility is a scam of a company. My experience with Ron from Eastern Mobility was that he was extremely hard to work with, would not call back, lazy and disrespectful. AVOIDEASTERNMOBILITY!!!
