Cockroaches and poor communication/service. Need I say more? We stayed here 1 night, nov 29th. and left of course. At about 2am, I felt a creepy bug land on my neck in the dark, I jumped and screeched. As it was the last available room in the hotel, we got up turned all the lights on and killed 6 more cockroaches. Earlier we had tried the buzzer outside the property managers office with no luck. The next morning, I reported to Barbara that the proof was in the garbage. She apologized and said I could call the owner. I lost the info, my bad and didn’t call for 5 days. She said we could have called her at 2am and she would have refunded our money and we could have left! at 2am! so no partial or full refund

This place was exactly what we wanted! PROS: private beach with chairs private dock(great for fishing) free use of the kayak shelterhouse huts and grills on-site sanctuary central air conditioning! friendly staff Fridge in room CONS: needs renovated also houses efficiencies(so many people who live there, we couldnt use the amenities like we would have wanted — they were always occupied) OVERALL, for the price — this place was great! for $ 80 a night and we got to fish and kayak for free? totally worth it. We kind of had to fight for time at the beach since there were so many people living on site that were always down there. But when we had some space to ourselves we had a blast! I loved kayaking around the bay and the mangrove trees and laying out on the chair at the beach. The beds were comfy, the shower was nice and the room had great central a/c. Not particularly rich in amenities like a continental breakfast, pool or microwave but definitely worth the outdoor time!

After an extremely busy Spring I was ready to escape off the grid for a few days of scuba diving and relaxing down in the Florida Keys. Stoneledge Paradise Inn in Key Largo is one of those great little family-run beachfront motels that caters to sport fishermen, scuba divers, and those who simply want to relax for a few days. Stoneledge looks like an older Florida-style motor inn with it’s pastel pink façade, with just about twenty rooms starting at about $ 80 a night. My room had a tiled floor, King bed, a small refrigerator, and a nice shower with hot water. It was very clean, and inexpensive, and perfect for my needs. I could store my dive gear in the room without worrying about dripping on a carpet. The amenities are very basic, but perfect if you’re looking to relax. Stoneledge sits on a private white sandy beach looking into Florida Bay just off the main Overseas Highway through Key Largo. The motel is tucked back away from the road, so you only hear the sound of the water and the birds. There are a number of comfy Adirondack wooden chairs sitting out on the beach, along with picnic tables, various eating areas, cooking grills, and a covered outdoor bar where we would gather each evening to swap stories and share some cold Adult beverages. There’s a private dock for the use of the guests at Stoneledge, and they have a couple of kayaks and inner tube floaties available for the guests of the resort. The water in Florida Bay is shallow and calm, which is great if you just want to take a relaxing swim or paddle around the lagoon. From Stoneledge it’s an easy drive back into Key Largo where you’ll find a number of fantastic seafood restaurants and bars, as well as a wide variety of dive shops and charter boat outlets for scuba diving. This is not a fancy five-star resort with mints on the pillow each night, but it is a very clean and quiet place to just relax and unwind for a couple of days.

Was planning to camp in the Keys but was rained out. This place was a very very pleasant surprise. It’s an older facility, but clean & comfortable. For the price it was fabulous. the sunset view from their beach alone is worth it.

At 88 bucks a night during March(3÷24−3÷26), this place is a steal. It’s not a huge place — just a row of motel-style rooms. But our room was clean and well-maintained, with a clean, comfortable bed and a nice shower. Free internet, as well(which I’m currently using to post this review). At that price, that’s good enough for me. But this place also has a bit of waterfront property right on the gulf. They have a free kayaks you can use for free with your stay, and a nice dock with little shaded benches on the end were you can sit and watch the ocean. We had a great evening there today, coming back in time to watch a beautiful sunset over the water, followed by grilling up some burgers and pineapple at one of the little charcoal grills they have right by the water. Although most of our time spent in Key Largo was spent at other places, it was great to be able to have a nice relaxed evening here grilling on the water. With that and a nice, clean room for cheap, you just can’t beat it.
