Too curious not to stop in and check out this place as I also saw them a couple times in the Miami area. Big store with just about every thing you need to dive and snorkel. I browsed around with no specific item in mind. I bought some anti-fog. Prices were average… I saw better prices at Scuba Outlet down the street. But this place does have more item so if you’re looking for something in particular and can’t find it at the other dive stores, these guys probably have it.

Great, friendly and attentive service. They have a large selection of GoPro licensed and compatible accessories. I was able to come in, get what I needed and head out. The two sales associates that assisted me didn’t even try to upsale me even though I was obviously a tourist. Great service!

I am new to the area and was interested in trying on and buying some snorkel gear. The store is large and very intimidating for someone who knows nothing about snorkel/scuba/diving. There was a lot of cute clothes, but if you wear anything size large or bigger(womens) you won’t find it here. After wandering around the store looking lost for 20 mintues or so… walking past sales people numerous times, my presence was never aknowleged. So I left. Oh well, I’ll spend a few hundred dollars some place else.

Spent over $ 600 here at one time. The intention was to purchase enough to justify signing up for their«direct rewards», so I did. They told me I’d have over $ 20.00 in reward money to use next time. I attempted to redeem them only to find out that it gave me only 9 points, which isn’t enough for anything. I talked to the manager here but they told me there was nothing they could do. I wouldn’t have bought anything here if I wasn’t getting something back since their prices are ridiculous.

This one of the many dive shops located in the keys. However, I always get top notch service here and they don’t rush me to make a decision or a purchase. They extend their services providing scuba diving classes, trips for snorkeling, spearfishing and diving. They facility is large and sometimes you can get a good deal on BC’s and gear like mask, fins and snorkels. Most of the employees are divers or instructors, so you don’t get a random person giving you assistance but someone experienced and highly knowledgeable. Everyone is great here equally. The service I receive here impeccable and it is standard across the border.

We stopped in here on our recent trip to Key Largo. If you are traveling through the keys I definitely think it is worth a stop in! No pressure sales, and helpful associates when you need them(which is what I like). Good selection of dive gear, fins, masks, boots, wetsuits, spear guns, tanks, bcd’s…everything you need! Prices are reasonable and I actually ended up getting a vest/hood combo since I get cold easily and I figured the extra layer would be great to have when needed. I was able to get it and save a little $$ — whoo hoo! This store has more than diving gear as well, they have a huge selection of clothes for men and women and a decent selection of flip flops. Definitely stop by and check them out when you are in the area!

If you’re a scuba diver, and you’re heading for the Florida Keys, then you need to plan a stop at Divers Direct in Key Largo. The shop has changed locations over the years from it’s pre-Hurricane Andrew location in Homestead, FL, to a spot just as you turned onto Key Largo, to it’s newest location south of John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park along the Overseas Highway. This new location is huge, and it is officially the largest dive shop in Key Largo. This is a great spot to stop and stock up on snorkeling and scuba gear, as well as t-shirts, bathing suits, sunglasses, and flip flops to round out your vacation purchases. The dive gear is generally last year’s models, so the prices are quite low compared to what you might see in your shop back home. A lot of divers will stop in to pick up extra masks, fin straps, and gadgets to fill their dive bags with replacement parts. Newer divers will find tremendous discounts on buoyancy compensators, regulators, dive computers, and underwater photographic equipment. You can buy Brownie’s Third Lung air compressors with hookah rigs for lobstering or cleaning the undersides of your boat, along with rash guards & wetsuits, and underwater scooters. A lot of divers will take the classroom and pool portions of their certification classes back home in the Great White North, but then stop at a place like Divers Direct to complete their check-out dives in the warmer waters of the Keys. Referral certifications are very common, and the shop offers all types of training programs for novices through advanced divers. If this is your first trip to the Keys, I highly recommend that you spend some time talking to their staff about dive sites and dive operators throughout the Keys. This is especially true if you’re planning to dive for lobster, or trying your hand at spearfishing. The shop can also help arrange dive travel trips for your clubs back home to various exotic locations. If any of your scuba equipment is damaged, or just needs it’s annual tune-up, then the staff at Divers Direct can help with the servicing, and if necessary they can rent you some loaner equipment while you’re waiting on the repairs. This is an all-in-one shop designed for divers who will be spending their vacation in the Keys. It’s worth a stop as you’re heading south.

Great store for dive equipment and casual clothing. They have a great selection of flip flops here. The service was good and they had some things on sale at good prices. The store is very large, clean and well organized.

My son and I son recently went diving in Key Largo. If you have ever been to the Keys you know there are dive shops and instructors as far as the eye can see. While we were down there we went diving with instructor Kell Levendorf from DiversDirect. We went diving on Molasses Reef and Spiegal Grove. Spiegal Grove is by far my favorite dive to date. It’s always good to go diving with someone who is competent and knows the dive site. If you are ever in the area and need to get certified or looking to dive with someone familiar with the area I highly recommend Kell Levendorf. For anything to do with swimming, snorkeling, or diving the beautiful waters of Key Largo Divers Direct is the place to go. From the moment you walk through the doors you will notice that they have it all. The employees at Divers Direct are friendly and very knowledgable about the products they sell. It does not matter if you are buying a five dollar mask defog or a thousand dollar camera they treat everyone the same.

I can only speak about my experience at the Key Largo store… I have to admit I was surprised at some of the negative comments. I have been shopping at Divers Direct for about two and half years and I love the store. The service has always been first rate and no high pressure sales. The selection is fantastic. I bought a mask recently and just couldn’t get a decent seal. I took the mask back and not only did I get an exchange without any problem, but was assisted by the director of the scuba training program. When I asked his advice on new fins, two different brands were suggested and there was no push for the more expensive pair.(Love love love the fins!) When I read a comment that the store was overpriced, I checked Leisurepro for their price on the same fins. I paid $ 10 less. I’ve purchased Evo boots and dive skins and the quality is great as long as you keep them out of reach of dogs that like to chew. There are times when the store is so busy that customer service can suffer… mini lobster season comes to mind… but that usually results in longer wait times; people get inpatient. Great selection, great staff, great dive instruction(check out their Emocean program) and a rewards program.

Large selection of snorkeling and scuba gear. Hats, dresses, shirts, etc. I found a cute beach hat here I didn’t see anywhere else. So I was excited. But the clothing was overpriced. Decent prices on snorkeling gear. Worth a visit.

We had a problem with a purchase, but they made it right. While I wish that the issue hadn’t arisen, I was very impressed with their professionalism in resolving the matter.

Convenient — but way overpriced! Scuba has some of the largest markups in the recreational sports equipment industry. If you go online you can purchase from Leisurepro for about 30−50% less than than what this store charges — and most likely not have to pay tax either.

My wife and I went to Divers Direct in Orlando on 6÷14÷2013 looking to purchase masks, snorkels and fins for our trip to the Keys. We received a very welcome greeting when we entered the store and one of their associates asked if he could answer any questions. Ron(the associate) proceeded to spend over an hour with us as we looked at the gear we needed. My wife had a wish list and after his review and expert knowledge we ended up getting the right gear and saving over $ 100.00 from the list of items that we had brought in. We will definitely go back to Divers Direct in the future.

This place seemingly sells more apparel(clothing, sandals, bathing suits) than they do dive equipment so I guess it’s a dive shop and a clothing store. Not bad if your in a pinch and need some dive equipment. They have racks and racks of gear. The huge store is nice and bright and well laid out. The complete opposite of your typical LDS. Their prices didn’t seem to be the best. Their name would lead you to believe that you can get gear at rock bottom«outlet» prices. Not the case. Even the simplest of hooks and latches seemed to be slightly overpriced. I had picked up a catch for my Octo at the dive shop I was diving with in Key Largo and the same item was $ 2 more expensive at Divers Direct Outlet. If you need a lot of equipment I would stick with Leisure Pro or one of the other reputable online Scuba retailers.

Just read about their«Customer Service» in my brother’s review. I was with him when he tried to return it. I told them that was the last time I’d be in their store.

I lost the tip for my spear-gun, after awhile you just need to replace them. So I go to Divers Direct and pick the closest they had to my first one. One shot, ONESHOT! and it was gone. The cable that is suppose to connect the break away tip to the gun, broke away. Lost a grouper and a $ 31 dollar tip, know what they said when I went back in? «We will write the manufacturer for you.» I might be wrong in this, but I believe that if you sell a bad product, you replace or refund. All they did was fucking shrug! That is not acceptable.

I like a clean, organized dive shop. And that’s what I got at Diver’s Direct. The store was clean, neat and organized nicely with rows and rows of BCDs, fins, regulators, wetsuits, booties, and spearfishing gear. In addition to the scuba gear, there was a generous selection of beach apparel for men, women and children. There’s also a good array of equipment for free-diving and spearfishing. On this visit, I was not in the neighborhood for purchasing equipment, but I did select a T-shirt and other small accessories. I had a question about a product and the staff went beyond just answering my question, to explaining the ins and outs of the options available to me regarding my inquiry. In addition to the store, they offer online shopping at .

I am liking this place more and more! Many of the smaller items are cheaper here than in NYC– where I’m from and where I usually shop. Not all items are cheaper– so be careful when you shop– for example, the large sized clear dry bag by Trident. $ 15 more here at DD rather than QC Scuba in NY. There is a HUGE selection of just about everything here! Its like a diver’s playland(even more so if only I had a credit card with no limit!) The BCDs are more expensive here than in NY. Shop Leisure Pro online– youd get a better deal. DD has a points reward card available– spend ~$ 250 and get $ 10 back– less than even 10%, but its a gesture that is still well appreciated I spent wayyyy too much money this summer at DD… I need to scuba shop detox!
