I had such a nice time with you all.
The drinks that Eve and Roberto served were delicious and managed to be the perfect recipe to loosen things up. Michelle’s jello shots and Natasha’s worms were awesome and probably were the cause of that hangover the next day.
Everything I got to eat was great and wish I could have tried it all but I get full too quick. Next year I’m not going to eat for a couple days before just to be able to sample everything.

I remember my first DFP. How, I don’t know. With this year’s, I was able to behave myself with the alcohol much more, no small feat when you have Michelle flinging her famous Jello shots at you. It used to be that hers were the only Jello shots, but damn, these days we have 4 – 5 different alcoholic gelatin and candy concoctions from which to choose. And then the pitchers of pre-​mixed drinks. Eve’s notorious PPDs. And then my own selection of beer. Which, admittedly, I didn’t even dip into that much — didn’t need to, as Jorge and Nate pre-​empted me with Infinium and Sweetwater, respectively.
The food and drink was very good, probably overall a step above last year’s DFP. It’s interesting to see how this thing keeps evolving — a lot of noobs this year, but hey, that’s cool, we were all there once. Good to see new people getting into it. All I know is that whether new school or old guard, Miami Unilocal brought it strong to this one. As Gina mentioned, it really is to the point where we are trying to outdo each other, and when that happens we all benefit.
To the dude whose name I don’t remember who killed it with those spicy slabs of lean grilled chicken, cheers to you — I was only going to have one, but I think I ended up having three. Pork, sausage, steak, blue cheese burgers… big thanks to Dom and all the rest of you grillmasters who were putting in work over the charcoal.
Of course, more huge thanks to George and Jenny for putting this together. It’s definitely one of our best traditions.

It does not get much better than the DFP.
Sure, the weather could have cooperated better with a little more sun and warmth, but even with spotty weather, DFP lived up to all the hype.
Food and drinks were aplenty.
Fried Gizzard. Check.
Ribs. Check.
Sausage with sweet onions. Check
Cucumber Salsa. Check.
I could go on and on.
The Yibbies did a fantastic job hosting the DFP and as always it was a fantastic time with my Unilocal family.

There’s not much to say about the 4^th Annual DFP that hasn’t been mentioned. From the food to the drinks to the amazing people, this is definitely one of the greatest Unilocal Miami traditions! And one that will surely continue in the years to come!

Swear to mudderafuck… we should open a restaurant and call it the DFP. We’d make a FORTUNE. It could be like LIPS or The Palace with Unilocalers as the floor show… Paul leading the way sizing up peoples nipples according to how cold the wind was blowing: P
The food stole the show this year. We’ve started outdoing ourselves each and every year and I have to give it up to Gary for making THE best fried chicken I’ve had in my life. (It was Gary right? We weren’t formally introduced). It was a virtual Roman orgy of indulgence and I believe I tried a little of everything at least once. Though with so much popo installed up the road a ways on account of the reggae festival I truly had to pull the reins back and pass up on a whole load of delicious alcoholic treats that were being passed around (boo…we need a campground next year).
What makes this event a very special one for me is that despite the number of events myself and my kids go to or are invited to each year (both Unilocal and non-​yelp), THIS is the one they truly LOVE coming to, so much so that this year my 16 yr old wanted to participate and made a cake all on his own (ok…it was from a box, but I’m proud of him for wanting to participate and making a way better cake than his old doll ever could).

I love you all you crazy bastards, you are the cream of Miami. MAJOR kudos to the noobs for coming along, and introducing yourselves and making yourselves at home. Welcome to the family :)
The Yibbies are the personification of the real Miami I have come to love. Their huge and welcoming, off the wall hearts are second to none. If for some strange reason Unilocal would cease to be, I know this DFP tradition would continue and will become a Miami legend along the lines of the King Mango Strut.
Besides…George and I have already started planning for the DFP 20 years in the future… he says he’s going to send a medi-​van for me at the nursing home… oxygen tank will be replaced with helium… wheeeeeeeeeee.

FINALLY, I can say I have attended the infamous DFP and all I can say is WOW!!!
I met some awesome new people, drank all sorts of concoctions, and ate way more than I should have!!! But this event was soooo much fun, I am still trying to think of everything that happened… two days later!
I got there pretty early and brought along some beer, burgers, and hot dogs! Little did I know EVERYONE would show me up, even my own guest. I brought my friend Vanessa from school who made some to die for buffalo chicken dip, most of which was promptly devoured. She couldn’t get over this party and bragged about how awesome my friends are… I KNOW!
All the guys on the grill did an amazing job with all of that nonsense! Every time something was put out I had to try it!!! Thanks for Jorge M. for bringing all that sausage! and whoever made that FRIED CHICKEN THOUGH!!!
I apologize there are a number of people I still didn’t meet so… the person that made the bacon mac n cheese!!! HIIIIIII that was my favorite! Patrick L. with the quinoa salad!!! YUM! Michelle C. made a good queso dip but she is my mother so I get that on the reg! lol Natasha’s NUTZ!!! oh my oh my! and those tequila soaked gummies… just no! I had one and that may have put me over the edge! haha but soo good!
Is it bad I wish I had eaten more because I know there is a ton of stuff i didn’t try?!
on to the MAIN EVENT!!! ALCOHOLLLLLLLLLL
Normally, I stick to beer at things like this because I want to be on my best behavior… lol yeah right.
BUT I made an exception because all of sudden I was handed champagne and cranberry juice and wine jello shot after wine jello shot. THEN Veronica called to my heart bringing that Fireball whiskey… which I may have indulged in too much!!!
Denny, another first timer, shows up with what I came to know as a Shaky Jar… there are no words! This lemonade tasting concoction may be death in a cup but I couldn’t stop! I tried some of Eve’s Pink Panty Dropper – personal college favorite!!! Gina, I tried this drink that you made and all I can say is it tasted like flowers!!!
FLIP CUPPPPPP! and just meeting and hanging out with all of you was so much fun!
To me, the weather was perfect. We were blessed with a beautiful day and even more beautiful Hosts, the Yibbies… well at least one of them!!! George and Jenny thank you for all that you did!!! I had an amazing time and y’all are awesome.

Wow What A Great Event
This years DFP was a blast.
It was a cold and windy day but the warmth from friends made it a Great Picnic.
There was plenty of food and drinks to feed an Army. Everyone was so generous bringing all types of food like Doms Porkcetta, Nates pulled pork, Ashleys’s Bacon n Mac, Garys Fried Chicken was Delicious, and Natashas Spiced Bacon Nuts” The Best Nutz I’ve had in My Mouth.” So much other Great Food to mention.
Drinks were insane Michelles Jello Shot, Red Hot Shots, Patrick and Nates Beer selection, and Natashas Tequila Soaked Gummies!
So many old friends and made some new ones,

FAVORITE UYE OF THE YEAR!
What happens when you get a very large group of good friends who are dysfunctional together that love food and Booze? We had so many vigin’s this year, it was awesome. Glenn and Marisol might have been a bit surprised with all the offerings, which darn I missed that gorgeous cake you all brought. Veronica who was so much fun to meet and those cinnamon shots were a killer, thank goodness I only had one. Roberto with his smokin self and those amazing ribs. Then oh dear forgive me the great cool guy who fried chicken in his deep fryer literally all day. Your family was so sweet, hope you all had fun.
OK there was so much food it was crazy! What did I have the pleasure of trying?
Nate made an incredible shredded pork, oh sooooo good, Jorge M. always makes sure to put his wonderful sausage in my mouth, then Jeff with his beer soaked sausage and Chris with Bleu cheese burgers. Oh dear talk about a food coma. Danielle’s friend Vanessa with that buffalo dip was super tasty.
As far as the Booze? Say what, so much! Lemonade that was a killer, Eve with her Pink Panty Droppers, in which I thank her for not giving me any although she tried several times, plenty beer, Hannah with her Irish car bombs, Natasha with her nuts in your mouth, Gina gummy worms, oh the list goes on and on. Denny another virgin with his friends were a hoot with whatever the heck that alcohol concoction was.
Manny and Ashley with that great mac and cheese and I saw that very large cocktail pitcher which I stayed far away from. LOL
Food was served, a huge thank you to my wonderful hubby for never leaving the grill and helping with all the cooking. You look so cute in your apron.
Beer pong was played, football, and I think they were trying other crazy games as well.
Fun times were had by all a huge thank you to George and Jenny for organizing our 4^th annual DFP. George what can I say, other than you are such a great guy who is always so much damn fun while Jenny is just the sweetest ever, thank you so very much!
It is so awesome seeing everyone and we had a great turnout as usual. I was so good this year that my bodyguard, the only man I ever listen to, Tom W. did not need to carry me to my car. I ate this year is why, yay!

So much fun! One of the best Unilocal events I’ve ever been to. The food was great and the company was even better. Loved meeting everyone. Can’t wait for next year!

What can I say? Any place where you can show up, have jello shots launched at your head, eating grilled meats hot off the charcoal, and fried chicken right out of the fryer is a win win win! Couple that food frenzy with 30 or more of your closest friends, old and new and it leads to the best of times.
Dominici’s panchetta and the fried chicken were ridiculously delicious! OMG! The sausage, the buffalo chicken dip… I love this event because everyone really chips in and brings something to nosh on… there is always more than enough food. No drama, just fun.
Thank you Yibbies for being the most awesome hosts and putting this together. The day was perfect!

To some people Thanksgiving is the most important holiday of the year, but to the Dysfunctional Family on Unilocal the DFP is!

All I will say is that there was so much food, I had to tap out, so much food and so good. My significant other, on one of her rare appearances, was amazed that ALL the food was delicious. She kept repeating «so good», and I was starting to get concerned, although I am not the jealous type (yeah right!).
I thought that kicking the football was going to enable me to burn some calories, or make more space in my tummy, for more food, but instead I started to get drunk as F, I don’t know what you guys gave me or what was on the SANGRIA, but damn, it works. Maybe the TEQUILA gummies, I don’t know, most likely all the jello SHOTS that literally flew to me, or the CIGAR CITY, I am just realizing that I not only ate a lot, I also drank a lot.
Laissez le bon temps rouler!!!

An astonishing amount of food and drink but the good times by all were even greater.

Michelle’s flying jello-​o shots are always a hit. Natasha’s Bacon spiced nuts were definitely one of my favorites.
Thanks to Dom and all the guys that worked the grill, and everyone who prepared, and brought food. Still impressed at how well this is organized each year, and how generous everyone is at these events. Plus loved the opportunity to meet and talk to so many people.
Thanks George & Jenny for organizing! Definitely another great DFP!!!

I PROCLAIM I AM NO LONGER A VIRGIN
The amount of food was mind-​blowing; I’m still overwhelmed by the sheer generosity of all those that attended. I’ve been to many tailgate parties and frankly, I’m used to friends contributing just enough to say «I brought something» (or maybe I just have cheap friends).
I expected hamburgers, hotdogs, cole slaw, typical BBQ fixings… but no no no…
I dined on porchetta, lamb, all sorts of sausages… sides of Quinoa was a perfect cole slaw substitute. When I went back for seconds, there was a whole new selection (guava ribs, fried chicken and blood sausage). The tables were covered with bags and bags of chips and buns; plus an assortment of desserts.
Basically, we had enough food to feed twice as many people… and I kept thinking of all those kids starving in Ethiopia, Haiti and Canada.
Hats off to the chefs of the day… Dom and Jeff (and anyone else that took part)… really great job guys
And there was plenty to drink… props to Eve for those sexy Pink Panty Droppers, Roberto and his secret tropical concoction and Jorge with the Cigar City Maduro hook up.
And to keep things interesting, jelly shots traveled through the air fast and often… Thankfully Michelle Wine Goddess is better at making jello shots than she is at throwing them (not exactly the next Tom Brady). Natasha with those tequila soaked gummy worms and fruit slices (you F’d Sol up). And lets not forget to thank Natasha for putting her nuts in our mouths.
I remember a year ago Rony told me come to UYE events if you really want to get to know fellow elites; glad I listened. And even more appreciate George M for setting up this shin-​dig (Thanks George)… looking forward to the next one.

JUST SO MUCH FUN — and good food! Dom gets a special shout out for reheating my ribs to perfection and just being an overall great grill master — Bobby Flay ain’t got nothing on you! Loved talking to all the people and feeling like I was making new friends at every turn!

Every year it gets better and better! If you missed this, you gotta wait a whole year to experience the greatness that is DFP. Special shout out to some of my favorite dishes/​drinks:
–Gary’s fried chicken. Oh mah gawd! this chicken was out of this world! ’nuff said.
–Veronica’s fireball shots? Don’t really recall the name but man those messed me up!
–Michelle’s jello shots are always a big deal at DFP. Especially when they’re being thrown
in all sorts of direction at you. Crazy.
–Ashley’s bacon mac n cheese: girl, you rocked that mac. Bacon truly makes everything
better.
–George had quite the stash of beer, thank you my friend for continuously providing
alcohol to us. I blame you for my slight hangover today.
–Last but not least the magnificent Dom and all his delicious meats. My oh my I’ll eat your
meat anytime of day *pause*
I could go on about all the delicious food but ain’t nobody got time for that! Thank you Yibbies for organizing this year’s DFP and to all the Unilocalers who make this event so effin’ awesome. Love you guys!
