Stop with the bad reviews of this place owners are very nice service excellent n what more can you expect from eggs n bacon, be persuade on your order and you’ll get what you ask for, tip tell them too not over cook home fries

I don’t like to be ignored. After being seated my friend and I simply vanished from the sight and attention of anyone who possibly could have given me a menu, served me water or, heaven forbid, bring me food. The restroom was filthy. We left after at least 15 minutes of being invisible.

Even a mediocre diner is still fine by me, but this diner is way below acceptable. Burger tasted somehow dry and stale yet was super greasy at the same time, what an accomplishment! I really wish they were better considering they’re the only diner within walking distance, but anyone in the area would be better off going to the McDonalds a few blocks away, and you know that says a lot!

The food I’ve ordered here is passable… it won’t make you sick, but it’s generally flavorless. I ordered eggs with «homefries» and the potatoes were cut too thick and barely cooked all the way through without any peppers, onions, or seasoning.

Got a burger from here for the first time, and the burger was very dry. Seems as if it was frozen and just thrown on the grill. Definitely low quality beef, not worth nearly 10 bucks for it that came with fries. Did I get full? Sure I did. Did I enjoy it? Definitely did not.
My mistake not reading the reviews before I ordered.

I’m not going back. Today was my last time dealing with this place. Dine in and delivery are pathetic… food is poor and often not what I ordered. I’ve ordered all sorts of things from this diner, nothing was better than average, most sub par. This is too bad because the location is excellent.

They make cornbeef hash the way it should be made. Awesome. Great fast service and friendly staff. Good coffee too. Always my breakfast stop when I am in town.

This used to be my go to but the prices are continuing to creep up ($ 13 for a dry, stale tasting burger, in Queens?) while the quality is tanking. The bison burger I ordered yesterday was inedible — smelled like a used diaper and tossed it after one bite. They’re getting arrogant, raising prices to Manhattan levels, but here’s the thing — a $ 13 manhattan burger will probably be fresh (not frozen), created with care, and you know. Not taste like a used diaper. Village Diner’s falling fast, which is sad because they’ve been a neighborhood staple. Increased your food quality or lower your prices, you can’t make food that tastes like fecal matter then charge me $ 13 for it! Without fries! Dipshits.

Service sucks. Waitress couldn’t care, the guy behind the register only cared about counting his money. The Latino guy who was delivering the food n clearing was the only ray of hope. I order a breakfast burrito, don’t know they still have it this was couple years ago. I niticed that I didn’t get my salsa and asked for it with the waitress. She looked extremely confused and told me it was coming up. Dropped off this weird large pieces carrot, celery thing with tomato sauce. Nothing that one would remotely consider salsa. I looked at her and asked if this was salsa? She confirmed in the positive but in an extremely rude manner. It was not salsa, no way close, the salsa-​less burrito was yucky and an extremely rude server, that equals an awful place. Never went back again for a retry, she left a huge bitter taste in my mought. It’s a shame that the nearest diner near my place is gross n rude.

Great service. Feels like your old town home dinner. Food is great and the delivery is suuuuper fast! I ordered the french toast and enjoyed every last bite. I’ve also eaten at the diner, (had their amazing pancakes) and had a great experience. Nice staff, very clean restaurant.

Hmmm where do I start? Terrible service … Nasty silverware… Martha Stewart’s lipstick on my friends coffee mug. Food left much to be desired. I was disappointed before I even took the first bite. Then to add a bit of flavor, roaches started crawling by the table … Advice, don’t come here… Just keep on walking by

Came here after a long walk in Forest Park. Server was really nice. Food was okay and comparable to most diners in the area.

I used to come here every weekend but for the last year I’ve been hesitant because it seems like every time I’ve gone there was a problem. Whether it be a 2″ min wait for coffee or watching roaches scurry by the wait staff. Things have changed :-(

I don’t know what’s going on with this diner. I used to order french toast all the time. One day I ordered french toast and it tasted like grilled onions. Clean ur grill or utensils! I took a long break after that. Then yesterday I felt like having french toast and gave them another chance. It was like eating plain slices of bread. Hardly any batter and hardly cooked. The french toast looked light. I had to fix it at home. No love in their french toast or they need a better cook.

This place is an average diner. We’ve gotten delivery from here on numerous occasions and for the most part the food is decent. Nothing special. The food arrives quickly for the most part so we order from here when we want cuisine other than Chinese quickly.
This morning however, the food we got from Village Diner was not good and was not prepared well. We ordered two veggie omelets. One with an extra egg. Canadian bacon and turkey sausage on the side. My omelet was edible. My wife’s omelet on the other hand (the one without the extra egg) was under cooked. The Canadian bacon was spoiled. Nothing visual but red flags were raised once it was close enough to smell. A nibble confirmed.
If you order from here, you might want to check your food.

Quaint little spot that transports you back to a time I wish I lived in. The food is not the best and I recommend eating there rather than delivery (not efficient when it comes to that) but it’s a good deal for what you pay. I always get the cheeseburger and it’s a decent filling meal. Their fries are amazing though ! Also no one bothers you when you go there and from experience I have sat there for hours and never once was I rushed out. The servers are so pleasant. Only thing is stay away from the cakes. They’re horrible and I’m sure a century old.

Don’t go here. I was disappointed with the breakfast my fiancé and I received. Her bacon was burned to a crisp, which some people might like but not what you’d expect when you order bacon on the side. I had a bacon and egg sandwich with cheese. The hairs on the cheese were complimentary but not what I ordered. I asked for potatoes on the side and I just had a bad feeling about them. There was one little piece of tomato in with them… I don’t know if that was part of the recipe or not but the whole side of potatoes felt like it had been warmed up and wasn’t as fresh as it could have been. It’s a shame because the diner seems like it could be a nice local place to go but we won’t be going back again.

The first couple of weeks that I moved to Kew Gardens, this place was a savior. They have no minimum on deliveries! With the terrible grocery stores in the surrounding area, they were a blessing. They have definitely messed up my order more than once, but they are always quick to fix, re-​delivering promptly and with a smile. Every time I walk by they always seem to be open. I visit when I’m craving that real diner experience, but I wouldn’t consider it a «favorite» or a «must see». Just as the rating says… A-​OK. If there is a complaint to be had, they will rectify it.

No complaints! Small & quaint & the locals of course meet up here. Attentive waitresses but they let you be to enjoy the meal without haggling you for feedback on «how’s the food, is everything ok». Diner food. How could you go wrong.

Small quaint atmosphere with great service and decent food. Everyone says this place isn’t what it once was 15 years ago but I still like it all the same. The waiters are friendly and efficient and the free home delivery is fast. I love mom&pop diners like this one.
