I live across the street from Venue and liked to pop down for dinner and drinks every week or so. The manager was great and the food was always good. But it’s been closed for months now with no explanation! What happened??!

I just ordered delivery through eat24 and they could not be reached and I had to cancel my order. That is horrible customer service. If they can’t provide a service, they shouldn’t offer it. Not going to bother trying this place.

This place is fantastic!!! Great food, friendly atmosphere, great lounge music and a nice European feel. The nan and tandoori chicken were great! As was the service! Younger and diverse crowd. Great discounts for airline crews.

The food here solid. I just found this place on a recommendation from a friend. I am glad I came here. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. The hummus and wings were great. The staff is attentive. I definitely will be back

The food here is universally solid. They have great falafel. But the service is what sets them apart. Their delivery can be spotty — apparently the delivery staff doesnt always show up to work when theyre supposed to. So the last time I ordered from them, a few weeks ago as of this writing, I decided to take a walk over there instead, since it’s only a few blocks from where I live.
The gentleman behind the counter was extremely friendly, and after he found out that I had called earlier to try to place an order for delivery but couldn’t because their delivery staff hadn’t yet arrived, he gave me a discount on the meal and even showed me around the outdoor seating /​hookah areas. It’s also nice to have hookah within walking distance, though I dont know how theyre going to manage it now that the cold weather has arrived and their hookah area seems to be only outdoors. I have not been to the restaurant for a sit-​down meal or for a happy hour. I understand that they have a DJ weekly as well, though I’m not interested in that as DJs rarely play anything that I want even remotely to listen to most of the time. Not worth the headache. The place is a great layout for hanging out, though, so I might give it a whirl anyway one of these nights.
Very friendly atmosphere, and good food served well. I dont mind the delivery issues at all because they made up for it by being decent people. This is what wins my loyalty. Thanks, Venue! :D

AVOID the mango chicken at all costs!!! The chicken tasted like RUBBER. I had to throw it away and waste about $ 13 for this dish. I can’t believe any resturant would actually serve something like this and expect to keep any customers. The only thing stopping me from giving them one star is that their lamb is pretty good but c’mon, if you can’t make a dish edible take it off your menu.

Just sat down to order food with my and a big cockroach popped out of the menu. We left after that so didn’t get a chance to try the food…

Their food might be just okay, but their disrespect for the neighbors, and the neighborhood are not acceptable. Blasting music out into the street at 1:30 am on a Tuesday night is WRONG!!! Even after 311 was called, the cops were a no show. I will not be recommending them, or doing there myself until they understand that people live all around them, and deserve respect.

Late delivery, one of the dishes was pretty poor, and some of it was either not portioned correctly or they were very stingy.

Imported New Zealand lamb is one of their secrets to the chops dish. Still investigating their spices that make this place such a winner.

Delivery of 2 items and a drink, at 7:45pm on a Thursday, didn’t arrive until 9:20pm. Not cool, and especially when it’s soup, which gets cold quick. Moreover, upon calling the second time, I was told the exact same thing I was told the first time: «eight minutes away!» Not worth it when plenty of competitors will get to you on time and not talk over you/​feed you BS on the phone.

Debank and crew just served us the most amazing lamb chops, chicken 65 and somosas. He recommended pairings with grapefruit beer, apple cider and Sauvignon blanc. And their outdoor patio is lovely this time of year.

The food was really good and really spiced well. Chicken was slightly dry, but I like it that way. Bartender was really cool and happy to chat. Hookah/​biergarten looked great even though I ate inside.

O M G, so delicious. I love their breakfast quesadilla! Super friendly and extremely accommodating. They actually deliver to my place of employment which is rather far from their location. The mint lemonade is yumm and the penne tikka masala is out of this world. This restaurant has a perfect blend for my taste buds. I will continue to order from them as well as recommend. I would like to sit and eat in the establishment one of these days!

I live right around here so pickup is easy for me. However the food has markedly declined since I moved in (about 1 year ago) until now. The chicken kebab sandwich used to be juicy and full of flavor, with deliciously spiced fries, as of late it has become dry with a different, bland type of french fry.

Just ordered food from Venue for the first time tonight and it was absolutely amazing! The vegetable samosas were very flavorful and satisfying, not to mention they were stuffed considerably. The Indiano pasta (penne in tikka masala sauce which goes perfectly together) was my favorite. I will definitely be ordering from Venue again and cannot wait to try the other delicious-​sounding items on the menu.

The tandoori meats were very dry but seasoned, not crazy tasty but at least it was seasoned. The chicken tikka masala was good. I’m more of a chicken makhani person but they don’t offer that dish. The garlic naan and mango lassi were my favorites of the entire meal. But then again, how can you screw up naan? Lassi was thicker than what I’ve had before at other places but still decent. I’m neither impressed nor disappointed. Just accepted that this establishment is just a place to go if nothing else is around.

I ordered a delivery from Venue and they were very late so I expected the food to be at least decent but what I got was stale food. The guacamole was brown, the sauces were sour, my Austin Street Burger patty had the consistency of a pencil eraser and it was probably the worst burger I have had in my entire life.
They gave us a refund which is why I’m giving them 2 stars, instead of 1 but the food was truly awful.

This needed to be done, unfortunately. But Venue is no longer a pleasant neighborhood restaurant. When it started, the menu was eclectic. It got smaller, but retained its best dishes. The last time we ordered food from there it was still good, but we did get a nasty call from someone at the restaurant when there was some confusion with the front door buzzer. As if we were trying to prank their delivery guy or something?
Anyway, this place has changed. Since Halloween 2014 it has been trying to remake itself not as a restaurant but as a club. Perhaps that was always the plan, considering the name of the place. But we no longer feel comfortable ordering food from there, and it is clear they do not want people just coming by for a nice dinner anymore. They want people there to dance and get drunk. They even had an outdoor dance tent going last night, in freezing temperatures.
Venue, we understand that business is business and maybe the restaurant wasn’t going so well, but it is too bad, since we liked you then. We do not like you now.

As great as the food was, I am watching the servers walk by with dishes for other patrons —OMG, EVERYTHING LOOKES AND SMELLED FANTASTIC!!!
I had a mint lemonade drink — delicious!
The servers — very friendly, they KNOW the food, very attentive –but not always in your face.
They have a brunch that I MUST come back to try.
Oh and… all that food for $ 40!!! New York, do I need to say more?
