Jade Chinese Restaurant

I’ve been a customer for a few years and noticed a steady decline in quality. I also noticed that they make up dishes, you can order something specific but it will have the same sauce as my bf’s order of beef and broccoli. The reason I’m writing this review is the illness Jade’s food has caused my family. We got food yesterday and everyone was sick. I mean violently ill, diarrhea, throwing up from 2am to 7am with extremely painful stomach contractions. I can never eat Sweet and Sour chicken again after throwing up chunks of it all night. No wonder they aren’t on Seamless anymore, I will be calling the Health Department and perhaps submit samples for lab testing. I’m very curious what kind of poison they are brewing in there.
I wouldn’t advise anyone to eat there, order at your own risk.

Best Chinese Food in the area and they are super quick with their deliveries!!! Food is fresh and they are very nice over the phone!

Best Chinese food in Kew gardens, I order from here at least 2 times a week and the food is always great. Delivery is always very quick too.

I got a combination plate and the food was pretty bland. I ordered a spicy dish but the dish wasn’t spicy and the sauce was kind of gloppy.

have’nt had chinese food in a while and this place really was a pleasant surprise. The service is outstanding, its a family run spot and they cater to how you want the dishes to be prepared. I got to chat with the couple that runs the place and they were very nice. I ordered the vegetable schezuan dish with corn egg soup, it was tasty and well priced at $ 7. when i tried to leave a tip of $ 3 the women owner gave me back $ 2 saying it was too much, It’s so rare to get down to earth service like this in NYC.

It’s just another typical Chinese food restaurant to me. The food is mediocre although the portions are huge. Delivery is extremely fast, one time, I got my food in 12 minutes! I ordered the Moo Shu Beef once, it was very bland and hard, as if they didn’t cook the vegetables thoroughly. The chicken wings are very good though, fresh and juicy. I will continue to order from them since I want to give the other foods a chance.

I ordered double sauteed pork but the dish wasn’t even what its supposed to be like, but some hard meat smothered in nasty sauce. Another Chinese place that doesn’t know how to cook actual Chinese food but keeps the names on their menu anyway. If I ever choose to order from this place again, I’ll go for some sesame chicken, that anybody knows how to make. The lady was nice so that earned a star.

First time ordered delivery from this spot. Read reviews and thought it’s decent. It was so freezing outside, so I decided to try their FAST DELIVERY. And as it is, very fast, friendly.
Portions are so big, unlike Golden Fountain on Metropolitan av.
Really liked their service and poor delivery man with a temperatures below 0′ was so fast on a slippery ice…

We order from this place on average once per week. Food is always hot, fresh and correct when delivered. We have ordered in the past their general tso’s chicken, boneless ribs, chicken wings, pork fried rice, shrimp in garlic sauce (my favorite, shrimp is always cleaned) and many other dishes and have never been disappointed. Also want to note that the people that work here are very nice and courteous. Customer service goes a long way that’s I stopped ordering from another nearby chinese food spot.

Didn’t expect much about their Moo Shu Pork, but it turned out to be the best Moo Shu I ever had!
Unlike King W. whose Moo Shu was too salty, Jade’s was nicely flavored & not overly cooked. I’ll definitely order from them again!

Extremely fast delivery, though it was 4pm. The food was very good.
I had the General Tso Chicken which perfectly spicy.
It wasn’t the typical red goo. I also got the beef and broccoli. The beef was amazing and the broccoli had good sized trees.

The Chicken Lo Mein tastes like rubber. The cabbage is not fully cooked. I guess the cook has been changed or something… Usually this doesn’t happen here, but this time, unfortunately it did… I don’t think I will go there for a while… this is such a traumatic experience.

I order from this place almost religiously. I love their pork fried rice (It’s really important to me that PFR is good at Chinese take out joint). I usually get the eggplant w chicken combo. Their mixed vegetables dishes are also good and taste pretty fresh (underneath the layer of sodium of course but you wouldn’t be ordering this if that’s not what you wanted)
I never had a bad experience. Their delivery is insanely fast, I live 5 blocks away and sometimes they are at my house within 10 mins of placing the order. I highly recommend for your casual Chinese food take out.

favorite Chinese place in the neighborhood. Their food is always delicious, seasoned right, and hot when it arrives… which gets delivered 10 minutes after I order. I always go for their Sesame Chicken & egg rolls. Oh my god, the egg roles. Delicious!

Best fast food chinese in Kew Gardens hands down. Staff is always super friendly and courteous. The food always tastes good. My family always gets beef with broccoli, shrimp lo mein, vegetable fried rice, chicken with mixed vegetable and beef chow fun. We always ask for them to cook our food with hot oil and it always comes out good.

First time we ordered from here… To sum it up. Good food, good prices, friendly staff, and fast delivery.

From the outside, this looks like your typical chinese take-​out place. Generic picture menu above the kitchen, 2 tables, no credit card, no A/​C.
This is where the similarities end. I have had the General Tso’s bean curd, Szechuan bean curd, and cold noodle appetizer. The noodle appetizer is delicious, but the bean curd is something from another world.
Generally, there are two types of General Tso’s tofu: (a) Small cubes fried in a batch, then tossed around with sauce. Usually served at take-​out chinese restaurants, can be hit or miss; (b) Longer, larger rectangular pieces fried slowly in a pan. This type is more-​often served at sit-​down, pricier asian fusion places and is almost always delicious.
Jade has type (a). While almost every take-​out place manages to make the inside too dry and the outside too rubbery, Jade keeps the inside moist (almost melt in your mouth) and the outside crisp. Thank you, Jade, for doing tofu (or «bean curd») the right way. 5-​stars (relative to other chinese take-​out/​delivery).

I don’t know what I was thinking never trying Jade, but I am so glad I did. Jade offers up some really good food. The General Tso has the right amount of spice and sweetness and is not overly battered. The fried rice is delish. The wonton soup is very good, flavorful and the wontons are not too thick. I also enjoyed the chicken with cashews, it had great flavor, but had a bit too much celery for my liking.
When you call they are friendly and very easy to understand. For some reason delivery people always have issues with finding me, but Jade delivered quickly without any issues which was such a breath of fresh air.
I think this will be my new regular place.
