They really know how to meet a woman’s needs. Talk to them about special circumstances and they are more likely to accommodate you. I love how they make you feel like your the only one they are seeing. It’s worth it!

I took a chance and it paid off. On a Friday midday, after a bad week in a series of bad weeks, I called and asked if they had an opening that afternoon; lucky me, Tony was available. Everything was just right: a peaceful, minimally lit room, well-chosen and varied sounds, and a massage made up of a generous variety of approaches, inc hot towels(with no annoying chit chat.) It had been years since my last massage, so I was wound pretty tight. I must have left a lot of bad behind on that table because I went away feeling lighter and happy. I feel I got more than my money’s worth in that full hour. So, I recommend Tony, I recommend Ascend.

The front desk person is now a cheerful, friendly, helpful person. It makes a huge difference. I had a facial and a mani/pedi. Both were perfectly professional and well-done. Hopefully things here have improved for good.

I came here looking to relax a bit and get a message and I had my appointment with Ana. I wasn’t a bit relaxed thru my entire process because she started to talk and even thru the process she asked me who was I voting for? Also as soon as she walked in, She asked me if I spoke Spanish. I do, but I still prefer to do business in English. She used a message oil to message me but I found it odd that then she used it on my forehead, I told her, please do not touch my face, that will make it break out, she told me «O no this won’t make you break out» and proceeded with my forehead, she also put something warm on my forehead that even made the oil penetrate more. The next day, full blown rash on my forehead. I was not into the chit chatter of her having issues with her son. What really bothered me was the voting question. I came for a service not a questionnaire. I didn’t appreciate the tip they charge you too automatically on your bill. Since I wasn’t happy with the service, I might wanted to tip15% not 18% which they charge you. Maybe it’s the responsibility of the owner to pay her workers better than charging the customers thru the tip. The receptionist should automatically ask you, would you like to charge the tip or leave cash. I highly doubt I’ll be returning.

I have been going to Ascend Spa for years. This salon is worth every penny you pay. Atmosphere is fantastic and relaxing. They never make you wait. Always satisfying service and staff is friendly and professional. I have to mark Rosalba and Patrick — I always had flawless experience with them. Keep it up!

(Voiceover) In the Unilocal website the people are represented the people who are looking for a descriptive review, and people who want to know if the business is qualitative. This is Noushky random experience.(Law & Order Sound) For my mother’s birthday my sister and I decided to plan a surprise spa day for her. I mean that would pay her back for all the stress I’ve been giving to her for 22 years right? I think so. Hilarious Fact: My mother’s favorite part of the spa was taking a nap in the waiting room. She thought the spa experience was taking a nap with peaceful music in the background.(I was so close to posting a picture of my mom«knocked out» on the couch but she’s West-Indian and I like being alive.) Spa Package: Mud Wrap, Manicure & Pedicure. What I Learned: Never to question an exfoliation. Angelicia exfoliated my body from my neck to the sole of my feet with what felt like gravel. During the process, I was between crying and laughing but I knew I was going to come out the spa’s door like a brand new woman. What I Loved: Bathroom. The bathroom was so clean. It was as if someone threw bleach and faboloso and knew I was coming. What I Didn’t Like: My manicure and pedicure. The nail technician did a great job with my mani and pedi BUT the nail polish took thirty minutes to dry. Beauty supply $ 1.99 nail polish dries quicker. What I Wished: Better snacks. They only provided us with fruits & nuts. Specifically sunflower seeds, peanuts, and dried fruit. My palate was not ready for airplane food. For example, seedless grapes, Laughing Cow spreadable cheese and crackers.

I know this place has been open for a while now. I’ve been wanting to try it since it opened. I got a deal on Unilocal for 50.00 for 75.00 worth of services. I finally went with my mom for spa mani pedis. I found this spa to be very cute and I feel it has a lot of potential. However, there were some things I thought could be improved. Overall the spa is cute, and has a nice relaxing feel. They have a lovely relaxation room with a very comfortable leather chaise lounger as well as tea and cucumber water. However, the rest of their equipment definitely needs updating. There are 2 pedi and 2 mani stations. I guess they work very strictly by appointment to limit the amount of people there, which is good. My Pedicure chair could not be moved forward because it was broken. Also the way they have the step situated to get up on the chair felt a bit hazardous and unstable. The mani chairs were very uncomfortable and kind of falling apart. Their towels could definitely be replaced. They were stained and had torn edges. Im sure they were clean, however for a spa, I would expect a bit more. As for the actual services, the gentleman at the front desk was very nice and accomodating. I also enjoyed my pedicure. I felt my nail tech was thorough and did a good job. I also enjoyed the massage(wish I could have had more time) The only thing is that my gel mani did chip a bit after only 3 days, which is definitely not supposed to happen. And she didn’t wipe the nail off at the end completely so there’s a film on most of the nails near the cuticles. Overall, things I could live with. My mom’s nail tech however, really did not do a good job. She did french both on her nails and toes and the lines were not neat. She was nice but when you pay extra for something, and it comes out bad, you are bound to be unsatisfied. Overall, I would say I did feel relaxed and received what I came for. However, paying over 100.00WITH the deal for 2 gel manis and 2 regular pedis?(they charge 18% gratuity) Ehh I guess it was an ok price for a spa but have had better jobs done at regular nail salons. I would try them for massages though. Like I said, its a nice place. They just have some things to improve on.

Loved coming here! My husband had the week from hell at work and I was able to book an appointment for both of us a day before. He had the customized massage and I had the Swedish. Both massages were amazing!!! Will definitely be coming back here again!

I happen to walk into this spa today. I have lived in the area for three years and have always walked by it. But Walking into the spa today made for an amazing surprise. Apparently they don’t really do walk-ins but I got lucky enough where someone called to cancel their appt at the exact time I asked for a massage. It was so meant to be!!! It gets even better… They took me into the waiting room and I waited two min — if that. My massage therapist Charles came to greet me take me into the room and ask what I needed etc. I get undressed and ready for the massage. —-I have been to a lot of massage places/spas in the last three years. Massage envy, couple of places in Manhattan, soho house in Miami, the list goes on. I always get deep tissue and always ask for a lot of pressure(which is usually not done by the therapist). But Charlessss! He exceeded my expectations in so many different ways. He is so pleasant, easy to talk to, smells great lol and the pressure was amazing all over. He knew exactly where I was feeling pains and took great care of the areas. He hit a lot of pressure points which I have never had done. He used hot stones which felt amazing and stretched me. I didn’t want it to end but I honestly felt so much better physically and mentally after it I knew I would be ok. The manager is a pleasant guy he took care of me during check in and check out. I will definitely be back. Hopefully before December 6th because that’s Charles last day :(. I give this spa 4 stars instead of 5 just for the ambiance outside that massage room. Will tell others about this place.

HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE!!! Made an appointment to use a gift card given and representative kept placing me on hold. After a couple of times being placed on hold, I finally got to make an appointment. Never got a confirmation call and when I called to reschedule, due to an emergency they pull a cancellation fee script. At no point when making my appointment was a cancellation fee mentioned nor was there anything mentioned about it on the gift card nor the website !! Not only did they not want to here the reason behind my rescheduling but they were very unprofessional. A person by the name of «Trish» got on the phone and spoke over me not letting me explain anything. Not only was this person arguing with me on the phone for the fact that she didnt have my right contact information but hung up the phone on me! They can keep their gift card money! Seems like the place wouldn’t have provided good customer service anyways. I am thankful that I didn’t get the chance to try this place. Never leaving my spa place in Manhattan(more professionalism). Good luck if you try this place.

Ascend is pretty nice. Love the cucumber water. The people are sweet. I did the Swedish Massage and reflexology with Tony. He was very good. Made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole experience. Tony told me I would sleep very good and boy did I ever.

I sincerely wanted to like the place, especially after seeing a well-maintained website and lots of good reviews on Unilocal. Also the place is in walking distance from my house and I really was looking forward to enjoy my first experience there and make it one of my favorite relaxation spots. Unfortunately my expectations were not met. While making the appointment for my birthday(which was mentioned to the receptionist) I was asked for my credit card number to guarantee the appointment. The only problem was I didn’t get any guarantees that my birthday preparations would not be spoiled. They called me the day before to confirm my afternoon massage and pedicure following. However the nail artist never showed up for the pedicure even though I didn’t mind to wait for the person another 15 mins or so. But I was told that they couldn’t reach her even after my hour of massage. That was very disappointing especially on my birthday. I had to change my plans and get it done at another salon. Then later on that evening while celebrating I got the voicemail from the Ascend spa informing me with charging my credit card twice mistakenly and offering me to stop by the place some other time to reimburse my money. That was the icing on the birthday cake. Double disappointment with this spa which obviously wont’t be a part of my plans ever again.

I had a life changing experience today thanks to Patrick, Tony and the entire team at the Ascend Spa. I have a very demanding job that causes severe neck and shoulder fatigue. I had a particularly tough day at work and ended up injuring my shoulder on a Thursday. I thought I could work through it, but it only got worse and on Saturday I was scrambling to find a physical therapist. I had no luck finding an office open on a Saturday, then out of desperation I looked up ‘medical massages’ and found this gem of a spa in my neighborhood. After a very helpful phone call with Patrick, I had a same day appointment with Tony. He invited me to come early to spend some time in the sauna to open up my pores and muscles. It was perfect. When I met Tony, I explained my job strain and recent injury. He was very in tune with my needs and paid special attention to all of my problem areas. I felt like I had found the perfect mix of physical therapist and masseuse. I couldn’t believe how much of a difference I felt after only an hour with him. He used a multimodal approach to treat all of my ailments. I couldn’t wait to schedule my next appointment. Tony and the team here went above and beyond any expectations I had. I will definitely become a regular and would recommend them to anyone looking for a truly customized massage experience. –Finding parking was easy –Very friendly and helpful staff –The fees are fair and well worth it –The massage room was very quiet, comfortable, calm, and relaxing.

I have been getting laser hair removal for many many years and finally I found a place that I actually see results. Ascend Day Spa has the latest and greatest laser hair removal machine and it is great. There is a new cooler on the machine that makes the laser less painful. You feel almost nothing. I would definitely recommend this place for laser. The technician is very knowledgable and CERTIFIED. In the past the technicians I went to were not licensed and most often are not!

This is a great day spa tucked away in Kew Gardens and I love it. I’ve been coming here since 2011 when I first moved to the neighborhood. I’ve only ever had massages here so I can’t comment on their other services. I often do same day appointments, simply because when I decide I want a massage I can’t wait, lol. They accommodate me when they can which is really great. Ever since the renovation they had the spa environment has improved tenfold. The massages are perfectly priced for the service, and I always walk away feeling calm and relaxed. Gotta love it.

I went in for a facial and spray tanning. The facial was good she took her time on it and felt great afterwards. Speaking about the spray tan I wouldn’t recommend getting one here, basically you leave as if you didn’t get anything so it’s pointless. The only thing i didn’t like about this place is the credit card during reservation, so basically you’re screwed and can’t cancel your appointment on the same day if they have your credit card. Overall I would recommend this place for facials they give next day appointment and facial is great for the price.

Yesterday I went for a mini facial summer special. I had Carmen and she was gentle. The facial was my first in over 2 years, my skin got very sensitive and dry due to medication and Carmen made sure not to use abrasive products on my face. I love that they use organic products since I’m trying to use mostly organic stuff. I took off one star because it think they need more art on their walls. Specially the relaxation room, it needs something lively. And also because it was able to hear people walk in during my facial. Maybe because I was in the first room but other than that I was very pleased.

I’m not a big spa person. Or maybe I would be if I made the space and time for it? For weeks now, it’s been playing in my head that I really needed some down time outside of work, mommy, and everything in between. Afternoon was fast approaching, and I set out of the house with a mental list of all my to-do things that needed doing, annoyed, with a headache brewing. Last minute, errands be damned, I called this place based on their mostly positive reviews and location. They were able to squeeze me in 15 minutes from that phone call and it was probably one of the best ideas I’ve had in a very long time. I left feeling tons lighter and it was definitely worth foregoing the to-do list. There’s always tomorrow! Went for a mud wrap, ended up with a body scrub and a facial. I should also mention I’ve never been one for facials. I’m a BIG fan now!
