NEVERTRUSTMONROTOFIX A CAR!(At least in Dayton OH) They seem to knowingly screw your car to insure future repairs! My husband can’t work now! After 3 times apparently sabotaging his car years ago, We took it there recently only because he was in an accident next to Monro. $ 1,100 to fix a wheel bearing that is now a couple months later again broken and completely unsafe to drive. This place has a pattern of claiming they fix something and then it breaking months later. If they cost him his job, heads will roll. I WOULD demand they fix the damage they caused, but they probably just rip out his brakes! Numerous other people have reported to mew similar experiences.

I went there because my car was misfiring and I requested a tune up. They insisted I didn’t need a tune up but gave me a list of other very expensive things my car did need. I agreed to fuel line cleaning for $$$. My car still misfired and got progressively worse. After a month of fearing I would die each time I got into my car and unable to afford the mile-long list of issues, I went to auto zone, got the supples for a tune up including the sockets and did it myself for under $ 50. My car is running fine now. I’m not certain why they insisted I didn’t need a tune up. They said my wires and plugs looked good, yet the wire on cylinder one fell apart in my hand. And with the difficulty I encountered pulling the wires from the plugs, it’s clear they had not been removed to check. Also, the code from the code reader at auto zone clearly said misfire on one, and nothing about the things they told me at this shop.

Had issues with the Belt Tensioner on my car. Alex the manager diagnosed the problem inside 5 minutes, fixed an incorrectly installed part(jerk at the last place) and had me off an running… didn’t even charge me, just said he’d like to be considered for any future needs. Absolutely! Exceptional service.

Our car was leaking gas. You’d think that’s an emergency, right? They told us that they would order parts for us, but they never called us back. When we called to ask them about it, we got a really annoyed person on the other line. Apparently, if you want service and people who care about your car, you should look somewhere other than Monro.
