I have mixed feelings. I would probably give it 2.5 out of 5 stars, but there are no half-stars here so I’ll round up to be fair to the business. Firstly, the food: The phở is good and the tendon can be very good. But it’s inconsistent. One time I had very thin rubbery slices of tendon, the next it was delicious gelatinous hunks. The broth is very good, and the ingredients seem fresh. The fried rice is not good. It has too much soy in my opinion, and is a bit overpowering. But I like the texture. But if you get the shrimp & pork fried rice(a mix) both meats are overcooked even if the rice isn’t. Also, tonight we got takeout and strangely the broth was barely lukewarm when we got home; not anywhere near hot enough to cook my husband’s raw beef slices. This is not standard, though. We live across the street and picked up on the way driving home, so it was only in the car for 5 min max. However, maybe it sat out and cooled between when I called in the order and when we picked up. The broth was very hot last time we did takeout. An important note: I don’t know if they use MSG here, but my body thinks they do! I’m mildly allergic, meaning it’ll cause problems but I won’t die, and I had all the symptoms of eating MSG after eating their food. I don’t want to make any definitive claims, but I would recommend caution if you have an MSG allergy or sensitivity. Okay, the other category, the service: The owner, Paul, really wants your business and is a serious business owner. On one hand, he makes it a point to try to ask your name, ask what you like, and really schmooze with the clientele. I can appreciate his drive to have a successful business. But there is something just a little off putting and maybe a tad disingenuous about him. It feels as if he is wearing a mask. Like a mob boss that is asking you how you are and if you’re happy in the neighborhood. An almost sociopathic drive to be the best and win your affection just to be a winner, more so than because he wants to make a customer be happy. It just feels like something’s off. There is also a slight condescending tone in his manner, when he asks if you«know how to eat that dish?» There’s a wrong way? And please don’t keep asking me repeatedly every time I eat here if I know what I’m ordering when I get tendon phở. No, I’m not Vietnamese but yes, I love tendon and I’ve had it a million times before. Yes I know«how» to eat it. I think honestly I probably won’t eat here again. It just seems like there are better options pretty close by without all the issues. But I understand why some people like it. Bottom line: phở can be good, pass on the fried rice, avoid if you are allergic/sensitive to MSG or fake magnanimity.

My friend said he likes coming to Phở Saigon on his lunch breaks so decided to meet him there. I’m not from around this area of Washington so it took me a bit to find the restaurant. The place is clean with lots of seating and a lot of décor. It was lunch time and not very busy which was nice. I ordered the bánh xèo which I was pretty excited about since I’ve only ever had my Nanas own. The taste was authentic and was similar to my grandmas. I forgot what my friend had but he seemed to enjoy his dish especially since he orders it «every time he comes here». Lol. The waiter there was very nice. Order was taken promptly and food came out in a reasonable time. Overall, it was a good lunch and I would recommend.

Came in for a pick up order. Ordered 2 small brisket phở and 2 fresh shrimp spring rolls. And one extra broth. Total was 27. Seemed a little pricey to me but dang! The phở was delicious and the portions are HUGE. You could cut one of their spring rolls in half and that’s the usual size of the spring rolls at your typical phở joint. I’ll be back. Took a star just because of the ambiance. Kind of dark and dreary, esp back by the restrooms

Ordered 1 phở with chicken and 1 phở beef stock and noodles only. I also ordered 2 fresh spring rolls with tofu. Since I’m sick it tasted wonderful. Wished that I got the hoisin sauce and more Siracha sauce. Order was quick and just as ordered. Thank you for delicious soup.

My picky daughter loves Phở. She made me write a review because she loves it so much. I’m a vegetarian but I sampled her broth. It’s very flavorful And hits the side of the tongue making you salivate even though you are already full. Good job guys. Yum

I was excited to try this place so I took a group of 7 friends here. We ordered the shrimp spring rolls and the owner tried to convince us to try to the pork ones. When they came out it was pork. That was a bit disappointing, but they were good and we ate them anyways. Also my friend and I both ordered a phở with steak and meatball. Now usually if a customer doesn’t say the size the waiter should ask or assume it’s a regular size. When our phở bowls came out they were both size L. It makes me feel like he did that to make extra $. Then, my boyfriend ordered a rice plate and it came out with one egg. On the menu though it said one broiled egg and one fried egg. He told the owner and the owner said no it usually comes with one, but my boyfriend showed him the menu and he made an excuse saying«Oh we usually do two but we busy, so that’s why we only do one.» He was a nice guy but those things he did and said we not how restaurant business should do or say. So I don’t know if we will come back. My phở was kind of bland too. It didn’t taste very lively. I think I would only order spring rolls to go if I ever eat here. My friends also said the rice plates weren’t good.

One of the better places I’ve been for Phở. Will definitely be back. Place is clean. Was quiet when I visited, and customer service was good. Plenty of vegetables and chicken in Phở. Good taste too.

I just started school around this area and me and my class mates like to go out to eat for lunch do we are trying different restaurant around here. So we saw this place and decided to try it. The owner was really nice, explained how it’s a family run place and was very nice. It’s very clean and nice décor. The food was very fast and layed out very nicely. It all tasted very good, the spring rolls are very hardy. I would have liked a little more meat, but for the prices the amount of meat was perfect! Will go back again!

The food was fantastic. I love phở and have been to several places around the area, but my hubby wanted to try and find the«best one.» This place was it. The broth was the best I’ve ever had, as good if not better than some of the five star places in downtown Seattle that I’ve been to. The owner is very friendly and you get a free ice cream cone at the end! Definitely recommend it was incredibly good.

Everyone talks about the owner, Paul, and he truly knows the definition of great customer service. We had a quick conversation while it was early in the day so not many customers were there. He told me that he really wants all his customers satisfied and to befriend them. In fact, I been there only 3 times and Paul and I know each other by name. All of that is great and really does bring customers back. The only slight downfall is that the price for phở is about $ 1-$ 1.50 more than other places I’ve been. But it’s understandable because the restaurant is quite large and needs to cover its expenses. Nonetheless, the owner definitely brings his customers back and wants you 100% satisfied. Definitely will be back for my lunch breaks at highline college.

I’m gonna go ahead and spare you the metaphysical rant and just say the this place one of the best phở joints I’ve been to. Paul, the owner, is super cool and accommodating. He hooked it up! If you’re contemplating… don’t! Just go you’ll be stoked. I’ll try the bun next. The pork salad rolls are bomb too and you get a lot of tea with your order… bomb!

The owner of the place was very friendly, he welcomed us and was very excited to have new customers on this rainy day. The food came fast and was delicious, I ordered #49 the rice plate with beef and steamed veggies, yummy! The spring rolls with shrimp were to die for, for sure I’m coming back for more. Not to mention free ice cream after dinner! Yay!

Food is pretty good, but I’m gonna give 5 stars because they have great service. The guy owner or manager, whoever he is, is always friendly and welcoming. He is always helpful and makes sure you will be happy and pleased. I like the many options on their menu. They have more than the basic phở; you can also get it with egg noodles, or mix it with both rice and egg noodles. Or if you still want noodles, but not feeling like soup, they have stir-fried noodles with either the rice noodles or egg noodles.

Very fresh food. One of the best Phở I’ve ever had although it had very little meat. The owner Paul was very pleasant and friendly. Fresh Spring rolls are amazing! Definitely coming back.

If I could give a million stars, I would! Came in today for the second day in a row. I called to place my order for today, and also let him know about my order yesterday! The food was amazing(I had phở chicken and bought lemongrass chicken for my coworker). So, I decided to come back for the lemongrass chicken for myself today because he wouldn’t stop raving about how good it was(and he wouldn’t share). The only complaint was that there wasn’t enough chicken to the rice ratio. I let Paul know about this and he gave me an extra portion of chicken with no charge. I will definitely be a return customer, at least once a week, from now on(: Customer service is fantastic. Food is to die for. And the free ice cream isn’t too bad either.

The Best Phở outside of Seattle and the best phở south of Seattle. Prior to the Seahawks NFC Championship Game, we wanted some phở, so we came here to try their phở and it did not disappoint. I have came here once before for their broken rice dish and egg rolls and that was not memorable. I can say, you only come here for their phở; as well as, may I sneak in their grilled pork spring rolls? Those rolls were good! So here it is: My wife and I had phở; I had the large phở tai nam and she had phở tai. The price difference between a large and a small is 50 cents, so why not? and it’s a no brainer for those who debate to decide. The broth had a little fat, reminds me of the one my wife and I made at home; well this time, we didn’t have to do the work, the restaurant did. The broth was tasty, seasoned good, not too rich, just right along with the tender, smooth slices of beef, onion, cilantro. The hoisin and lime blended in perfect harmony. The noodles were perfect. A true 5 star and best in Kent! We had their grilled pork spring rolls and egg rolls as well. The grilled pork spring rolls were tasty and done good; the rolls tasted like wrapped vermicelli; the pork was so good! The only complaint will be the egg rolls were probably the worst part, as it was not as good as last time as it lacked flavor and the lettuce garnish was not a whole leaf so that you can rip a part of it to fold into a slice of egg roll and dip into fish sauce. The fish sauce was on the other hand, sweet and good. The service was good. Oddly, the big tv is faced backwards for the employees to watch and not the customers. I can only see the reflection of the screen from their back mirror. I guess they didn’t want their place to turn into a sports bar. The restrooms were clean. Best place for phở when you’re not in Seattle and you’re in South of Seattle.

We love this place! My husband and I just had a wonderful meal here. I had the vegetable phở and my husband had the chicken phở. All the meals come with hot tea. The vegetables are fresh and delicious. Only disappointment was that we did order some eggrolls but they didn’t come but that was fine since we were full from the phở.
