Nice staff, plenty of beer and in an OK location. Not sure why I don’t feel like this place wasn’t a 4 star establishment, but nothing really stands out to me. I didn’t have the food, so maybe that’s the key to the 4th star?

My son and I stopped by for $ 2 Taco Tuesday 5−9pm(Coronas $ 2.50 all day) this week, planning to enjoy their comedy night(1st Wed of the month) with friends in May and maybe some live music on the weekend(Fri/Sat). It was cold out so we also ordered a bowl of their delicious soup. Pat is very personable and the staff is very friendly; everyone there was having a good time and we could have easily stayed for hours — wishing we had brought friends and did not have to make it to our local pharmacy by 7. We will be sampling other items from their menu soon! It’s good to see they offer garden burgers, and substitutes for fries ~ but I plan to try their turkey sandwich so I’d go for the mashed potatos and hope hope hope someone else lets me try the fries. Or maybe I’ll have breakfast… Anticipating a second, third, fourth visit makes me wonder why I don’t just give the full five stars this time. Their live music weekend Fri/Sat dates and First Wednesday comedians are listed on a Calendar at . Pay attention to the storefront signs so you don’t walk in to the barber shop next door…(((blush))).

Great live music and food. Pat came by and introduced himself to our table. It’s an older crowd(thirties, forties) but it was still super fun. We had a great time(we’re twenty somethings). Definitely worth checking out while in Kent.

So the day after I went there for the first time my Mom & Dad went. They too really liked it. Only one bad thing. No mashed potatoes to go with Moms hot opened face turkey sandwich. I also recommended it to my Aunt & Uncle & they liked it too! Great Reuben sandwich & fresh crispy salads. Today went there for lunch with said Aunt & I had the clubhouse sandwich minus the 3rd piece of bread(waste of calories & carbs) with a cup of their delicious turkey noodle soup. I could go for a bowl of the soup & a half sandwich next time. Super hit the spot on a cold, grey Seattle day. Aunt had the deli turkey sandwich with a nice side salad. Efficient service. Pretty much had the place to ourselves except for the dudes playing pull tabs at the bar. Found out that Tuesdays are«Taco Tuesdays» with cheap tacos & Coronas from 5 – 9. Will have to check this place out on a weekend night to see what it’s like as a Bar instead of a Grill. :)

Wow! Another place that makes me smile as soon as I walk through the door! It has a circular bar and lots of tables. The bartender was nice and attentive. This is a really nice dive bar that serves breakfast all day long. My wife & I stopped in here to have a beer and ended up having lunch. They roast their own roast beef and turkey, so anything with these in it are great. The chili and soups(Turkey Noodle is the house specialty) are made fresh. My wife had the California Burger and it was huge, served with fries which are just so so. I had the Burger Dip(something I had never heard of) which is simply a burger with swiss cheese on a soft hoagie roll served with au jus to dip it in. It was GREAT! It’s served with fries, salad or soup. I had the the Turkey Noodle soup, as good as Grandma’s. Lot’s of TV’s, so it’s a great place to watch sports. This will become one of my regular haunts!

This is a dive bar with decent food. They serve breakfast ALLDAY which is a huge plus for me and my boyfriend on the weekends after sleeping in. I had a club house sandwich that had home roasted turkey, yum! They also make their own roast beef for the sandwiches and they do not use frozen hamburger patties. Wow! the sandwiches are anywhere from $ 7 to $ 10 and it comes with GOOD salad, soup or fries.

My friends and I are mid/late 20-somethings accidently discovered Pat’s one night after grabbing some Mexican nearby. We happened to see a banner on the back of the bar for Guinness, and decided to stop by for a pint. Well we ended up being there for a few hours. Live music, friendly wait staff and an all around great time. We went back a month or so later, and we had a different waitress, but the girl who served us the first time came over and said hello because she remembered us. Very impressive. The standard crowd is a bit older than what you’d expect a group of 20-somethings to hang out with, but that just made it that much more fun for us. The stories they tell are so much more entertaining than any college student. Definitely worth checking out if you like live music, friendly people, and good times.

I am a small town girl who grew up in a two stop light town with more cows then people. I can dress myself up in stiletto heels, have lots of high maintenance habits, and come across a bit snotty or prissy but when it comes down to it I am still that same small town girl with big dreams. I don’t make it home often and every once in awhile I do miss it a bit, though you will never hear me admit it outloud. This is why I love Pat’s Bar and Grill. I met Pat(owner and namesake) at a golf event I was sponsoring and couldn’t help but love this smiling funny bar owner. I went in for lunch in hopes of making a sale and a promise from Pat that they have a mean salad. I didn’t make a sale, not because of lack of effort or Pat, but just it isn’t a good fit at this point. Normally i would start frequenting my next place I was trying to sell to. As I normally prefer to frequent to prospects or pick up something close to the office and eat at my desk(more efficient that way.) But I find myself back at Pat’s often. The bar maids always make me laugh, and always keep my ice tea filled whether I am there for 30 minutes eating or 2 hours reading a book and working on paperwork. The barstools are always occupied by regulars and locals that will never let you feel lonely. Pat is a constant fixture and if he is there he will make a point to always come up and say hello and see how life is going. There is always an eclectic group of people and conversation that makes for great people watching. Your first time there will feel like you were there a 100 times before. I have never had an adult beverage here as I am working each time I come but I can’t imagine it being made with a light hand. They also have bands and live music in often I have been told. So I am sure the night crowd is much more lively then my afternoon lunches. So if your in Kent and looking for a good, well priced lunch and not wanting some five star culinary meal this is a great place to go. Tell them Sarah from Comcast sent ya. As for the food, the soup and salad combo for six dollars, gets me almost every time. The soups are always homemade and super yummy and I am a sucker for a thick, creamy, most certainly booty creating soup. The garden salads are always with fresh lettuce and none of that iceberg crap(gag me), with wedges of tomato and cucumbers and fresh croutons. The dressings are either homemade or they buy top of the line because they don’t have any cheap icky ranch or blue cheese. Yet another pet peeve of mine.
