Morrill Meadows Park- Off Leash Area

This park does is job. It has a large general park, canopied area with picnic tables and 4 closed-​top bbq’s. Nearby, a small kid’s lot with a jungle gym. Beyond that, a laaaaarge grass field. And lastly, the off-​leash dog park, halved into small and large dog areas.
The areas in and of themselves are grassy, a bit overgrown areas. If you have bad allergies, if might be best to try another park. There are a couple agility features, but that’s really fancy for wooden triangles for your dogs to climb and go down, if that’s their thing. I like it because it’s close to me, and it’s not busy!

I’ve been here twice now with my Yorkie and Papillon in both the small/​shy dog and large dog area. They love this park! They aren’t super sociable so they like the park just because they want to sniff the layout of the land and work for treats on the agility courses there.
The dogs there that we’ve met have all been very well behaved. If anything I’m embarrassed to say that my dogs are the awkward ones because they don’t want to play with anyone! They just want to explore. The park has different trees, slight elevations, gravel, bark, dirt, and grass. My dogs don’t get too dirty playing here on a dry day which I appreciate.
There are disposable poop bags and trash cans nearby. There are also buckets and dog bowls near the water spigots for drinking water or water to play in during the summer time.
The parking lot is a walk aways from the dog park but that’s OK because it’s good to get out some of the energy before they run into the park. I’ve seen many dog park patrons park alongside the main street that runs along the dog park so they don’t have to walk from the main parking lot.

Visited this little Gem of a dog park when trying to get Ideas for our own dog park in Burien, Since it is so similar in size and layout. Great small dog area. I really like the agility equipment put in. Not so big in size but very big on heart!

This is a good park in a good location. There are often some old tennis balls laying around for the dogs to grab and play with, which means I don’t have to worry about bringing any with me. It’s not as large as some of the parks in Seattle, but it’s just what we need to help our dog burn off energy and socialize with others each day. There’s a good group of regulars, and people are mindful of their dogs, though on occasion there are some larger ones who play a bit rougher than others. It’s nice having a large small/​shy dog area when that happens. From the human standpoint, I’ve never felt worried about my car or my safety when I go in the evenings and am not with someone else. The dog owners who come are friendly and it’s nice to feel like a part of the community.

I love this dog park! We’ve been here quite a few times now and Milo and I love it.
They a smaller area for smaller and «shy» dogs which I think is great, because there’s plenty of puppies who benefit from this area. The bigger area is great for the dogs who love to run around and be wild — Milo has quickly worked himself up to being in there with the big dogs!
The park is always really clean and people seem to be great about cleaning up after themselves, which is good. There’s also water stations for the dogs as well which is awesome — if you forget some or don’t want to bring any, it’s not a problem.
I definitely recommend this place for anybody who’s trying to find a new dog park or have a new puppy — it’s the perfect spot!

Morrill Meadows is a good park for very well socialized dogs and dog-​savvy owners. The small size does not allow for owners and dogs to ‘escape’ problem situations.
I recommend this place especially for smaller dogs, because the small dog section is much cooler than the main drag. More woodsy things to explore, more shade.
I wish the garbage cans were closer to the middle of the park… but aside from that, the park-​specific elements are good. They keep the grass short and trim any errant blackberry vines that creep in. It’s good for a quick romp, but may not cut it for a dog with high exercise demands.
I recommend attending during low traffic hours, such as weekday mornings and afternoons.

Wonderful and oh, so clean, dog park on the East Hill of Kent.
City oKent provides free doodie bags and there’s a fresh water spigot for each of the two dog areas. An agility course is set up on the small dog area and there are several pieces of exercise equipment in the rear of the All Dogs area. A good mix of grassy areas and gravel paths make it a beautiful pooch park. There were no abandoned doo piles in any of the areas I walked.
The only down side is that parking is available only at the main park’s lot, by the covered picnic tables. You can walk east to the fenced off-​leash areas by two gravel trails from the parking lot. The northerly one passes through a cluster of cement spheres on the ground. The southerly trail parallels 248^th and departs from the children’s playground.

Well, I ran in to my first irresponsible pet owner… Though this is not the park’s fault, I would like to warn about a woman in the park with an aggressive dog whom she does not control.
The woman has two small terriers, one Rot mix and one very large Doberman she herself calls an «asshole». Well… Yes he is an asshole. He viciously attacked my pup causing 3 deep head wounds. The woman knows her dog is an «asshole”/aggressive dog yet she just unleashes him in the dog park to attack.
Not cool at all.
I don’t know what can be done about this irresponsible woman and her «asshole» dog… The least I can do is warn others.

Medium sized dog park with larger shy/​small dog area and agility course. Entrance is on the street side, but you have to park near the people park where the bathrooms and shelter area is.

The west part of this park is mostly a picnic park. The east side is a dog park.
There’s a short trail that goes in and out of the forest. It’s just an okay park. Nothing special.

Just like any dog park, you must watch your dog. Just like little kids, the dogs can get wound up and go over the top. I have a herding dog and not all dogs respond well to that, I have to monitor her so she doesn’t harass an older dog that doesn’t want to be chased– that’s called responsibility.
I have seen my share of situations here and it’s usually with a dog that maybe shouldn’t be there. If your dog can’t stop humping dogs, then maybe you shouldn’t take him to the park…
This is a big park, I do worry sometimes about a situation not being near me but at least if I’m attentive I can be there quickly to rescue my babes.

This review is for the whole park: awesome! Couldn’t be more pleased. The walking trail is great. I am a heavy person who likes short walks that I can build on. The trail has benches everywhere — so when your knees give out or you need to catch your breath there is a bench. When you need lengthy walks– you just keep making loops.

This was a nice dog park. The view is great and my dog loved it.
Only down thing is there want any dog poop bags.

When I moved back to Kent, I was pleased to know this lovely park had popped up.
It’s great to have an off-​leash park so close to the house. Not many dogs were there when I went, but it was during the afternoon during the week.
There is a smaller area for the «shy dogs» to play. Whoever thought of that idea is amazing.
The only drawback is that there isn’t parking right in front of the park, but I understand space constraints. So you do have to park at the human park and then take a trail over to the dog park. But it’s a nice short trail.

Great off-​leash dog park. Fully fenced with separate areas for small and large dogs. Has water fountain and stability obstacles! Benches and shade if needed. Gravel paths and plenty of grass.

This is for the entire park — not just the off leash area. This is a nice little park in Kent. Neat play area for kids that includes a sandbox area and dirt digger, pretty good play structure with lots of different climbing features (though it does seem to be designed for kids over 5), short but nice forested trail to walk through, and lots of dogs due to the nice off-​leash area. Not bad at all!
The only drawback is that there seems to be a bit of a rough crowd later in the evening and they don’t seem to know how to clean up after themselves. But during the day this is a great option for the kids and just to get some general peace and quiet. The kids and I really like it!

This is a hidden gem of a park. Nice small wooded trail. Clean restrooms. Playground equipment. Sheltered BBQ area. Open field area. And a good sized off leash dog area that’s not too big so you can keep track of your pooch. Not the kind of park with rivers or mountain views, but solid overall.

This is a really well kept doggie park! I was really happy finding this place and even though a down pour started about 45min after checking the place out, it was well worth it.
The walking trail that leads into a small wooded area was a short walk through. Still cool though. It’s a better idea to park in the lot then walk up the trail into the park.
There is a public bathroom here and picnic tables with grills to cook on. I also saw a jungle gym for those non-​furry 2 legged animals to play on.
Over on the other side of the park is the dog area. The only way to get in is by the entrance next to the main street. I made the mistake of cutting across the grass field and trying to go in the side gate.
I saw watering holes for the dogs to drink at and there are two separate dog areas. One main area with agility obstacles for everyone and then a spot where little dogs/​shy dogs can hang out.
Today we went to the shy dog pen and other dog owners were very nice to help get my dog to socialize properly.
I’m hoping after a month of visiting this place and the support of other friendly dog owners we can leave the shy dog pen and head over to some agility training.
Poop bags are available and it seems the responsible owners who have visited this place pick up poop. I didn’t have any «surprises» tag along on the bottom of my shoes.

I’ve only been here twice, but it’s been great! Like the other reviews, it is completely fenced in, and about 3 acres. I think 3 acres is a decent size so you can actually run around and ‘maybe’ keep up when playing with the dogs. It’s not too big, but definitely not too small.

Finally– a dog park in Kent that’s nice, clean and FULLY fenced! I don’t know why we haven’t come here sooner. The dog park has all the normal features– benches, water «fountain» for the dogs, waste bags, agility course and separate shy/​small dog area. The dog park is a part of the main Morrill Meadows Park which includes a children’s playground, a large empty field and picnic area, which is nice because restrooms are nearby. Trails surround the park. The dog park takes up only a fraction of the main park, but it was plenty big enough in my opinion. Our pup had a really good time! If you want to go to a dog park that’s bigger in Kent I would suggest going to Grandview.
Edit 5÷10÷13: Last few times we’ve come here there weren’t really any dogs :(I prefer Grandview as it’s more interesting with hills and valleys and WAY more dogs frequent there. Though Morrill Meadows has everything your dog would need, it’s a super flat park… just a little bland.
