Inca’s Secret Parrot Toys & Boarding

Great store they have a lot of selection especially when it comes to bulk food selections. The toy prices can be a little high, but the level of friendliness as well as their level of parrot knowledge make it a worthwhile trip every time. They also have parrot grooming onsite (wings, beaks, and nails) the groomers are top notch for sure!

I love Inca’s. Lisa (the owner) is great, as is the staff. I almost always wind up chatting with her and losing track of time. The store is clean and well stocked. I’ve boarded my cockatiel, Monkey, here at least 3 times, with an upcoming visit on the books. I can relax on my vacation because I know my girl is safe and well-​cared for. Really, she gets spoiled rotten so it’s like she gets a vacation too, lol. She always looks peaceful when I pick her up.
I also get Monkey groomed here because they have great prices. MUCH more reasonable than my prior boarder… and no shady business prices or changing contract terms when you are away.

Awesome, this place has it all. Super friendly too. They had a great knowledge of birds.
We stayed for over an hour talking and learned a lot (we are first time bird owners). Amazing selection of healthy bird food, lots and lots of toys and a million other great bird accessories. Also a HUGE selection of different birds. Love this place, we will be back!

I can’t thank this place enough and I’ve only been there twice! This is not just a store trying to sell you stuff. We’ve gone in on two Saturdays needing grooming and a lot of advice.
Long story short, my partner and I felt very welcome, as was our sun conure. We’ve received consistent and constructive feedback on handling some hierarchy and handling issues within our house.
No sales, no schticks, no attitudes. I feel comfortable with them handling my bird and we look forward to going back!
They’ve done a fantastic wing and beak trim, nails and affordable bloodwork.

The owner has a bit of an anger problem. While I was at the store, there were people that came in and she yelled at them and told them to «get the fuck out» and threatened to call the cops. Instead of handling it in a professional manner, she totally flipped out.

The lay out of the store is confusing but once you snag an employee they will happily guide you where the food is stored.
The owner I talked with was very knowledgeable and concerned about my Caique when I told her about how he likes to attack my husband.
When in the bird room where the food is stored, it was clean and warm. I didn’t see any birds that were upset. They all looked like they were taken care of: clean cages, fresh food & water.
The prices aren’t too bad. The parrot boarding is a bit pricey but the food and mix of toys were all reasonable.
I’m happy with this indie bird shop close to my house. If I ever needed to board my parrot I’d probably bring him here.

Being new parrot owners to a female eclectus and male umbrella cockatoo that we adopted, we realized after many different stops that your average pet store has a very limited supply of parrot toys, food, and general care. I found Inca’s on Unilocal and went and checked out the website and was pleased to see the huge selection of toys and care for our birds! It is a little unfortunate that we are in Tacoma, with Inca’s being in Kent, but it is well worth the drive. The place is huge and has such a huge variety of toys for the «get bored easy» «keep stimulated» parrot. Not only do they have toys, they have wooden block bins, leather strips, rope, plastic toys, and what not to even make your own personalized birdie toy! The selection of bird foods and snacks is also great! you can buy in bulk! Also the back room area is where they have parrots for sale, to board, and rehome! All of the parrots have plenty of toys and fresh food to keep them happy! I recommend this place to anyone who has a parrot! I will be making my monthly stop to stock up on snacks and toys for our new additions to the family!

To start with, I don’t review places on Unilocal.It’s not worth my time lol. But this place is absolutely AMAZING, and the only other review on here does not do this place justice at all, so here it goes! Lisa was more than happy to walk me all around the store, and show me everything they have to offer. Unlike many other places I have gone to looking for parrot supplies, she was well stocked with a variety of bulk food, parrot toys, and anything else you could need! All of her birds looked happy and healthy with clean cages. The best part of my whole experience was that unlike the majority of specialty pet stores (or even regular ones for that fact!) She was not condescending, or rude in the slightest! It definitely doesn’t hurt that she has low prices also: p Do not hesitate to come here! This place is AWESOME!!!
