Worst delivery experience ever! For my IKEA order, they have tried three times. The first time, 8 items are missing. The second time, they took the wrong order. The third time, nobody showed up! They didn’t even bother to give me a call to let me know that they can’t deliver. Now I am still waiting for my furniture!

One of the worst experiences I have ever had. We purchased our items from IKEA for our home remodel. 300+ pieces to be delivered. When the truck arrived one of the individuals got out and asked me to move «it», it being my dog, which didn’t help the experience. I had our general contractor clear an area in the upper living room for the delivery, I let the helpers know that we need to have the items placed in the living room space so the garage can stay clear as we have multiple subcontractors using the space. The answer was no, I asked why and they said no again and that there was too many items. I said I need to have these items delivered upstairs and they just said no and started placing items in the garage. I then called the dispatcher to let them know the situation and they said they should deliver the items where I need them to go, they said they would call the driver. I waited 20 or so minutes and nothing changed. The helpers said they were done and started getting in their truck, I said that they should have received a call from their dispatcher informing them to place the items where they needed to go. They just blew me off, jumped in the truck and drove off. I called the dispatcher again and said they would raise to their branch manager. They also crushed one of the boxes and ruined the item inside so now I have to file a claim and have a new item delivered. When I called IKEA, I let them know what took place and they refunded the delivery charges. From a financial standpoint the situation was handled from a consumer standpoint this was one of the worst experience I have had. I hope IKEA considers changing their deliver services.

VERY sad to add to the cacophony of hatred against IKEA for using Dynamex. But when you pay a lot for delivery, and give a generous four hour time window– you expect some small amount of service. Heck, I would have been happy if it had just showed up! I will NOT be ordering from IKEA with delivery anymore. Live and learn. Should have read reviews. Short review– called IKEA help line with 10 mins left in delivery window. They said driver was on the way and he’d call. No call. Call IKEA back. Well, he’s on the way. One more hour. (oh wait, this isn’t short, is it?) This is a work day (Tues) and not a weekend delivery or anything. No one can raise this driver apparently. Figuring I’m losing another day of work now when they reschedule me in another hour! DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM IKEA! They MUST change delivery companies!

Wow, not sure I would have ordered IKEA online and had it delivered if I’d read the reviews first! However, my experience turned out ok in the end (not without bumps) Dynamex did arrive shortly after the «time window» because they had some problems finding my address. They initially refused to deliver the boxes to the individual rooms (contrary to what IKEA had promised when I ordered by phone), partly because of stairs involved. They literally dumped the boxes in a haphazard heap in my living room and said they weren’t responsible for moving them otherwise. I tried calling the company while they were here but couldn’t get through by phone until after they left. Delivery guy also was very uncooperative about letting me check to be sure I had all the boxes for each piece of furniture and kept repeating that he’d delivered 10 boxes per his sheet and that’s all he cared about. I explained that I needed to confirm that the 10 boxes were MY order. He left before I could confirm but turned out order appeared to be right. I was also able to reach Dynamex and they were very helpful and courteous. They made the delivery workers come back and move the very heavy boxes to the appropriate rooms. Don’t think I’ll be ordering online for delivery again although it was inexpensive and the nearest store is 3 hrs away. Guess you get what you pay for! Can’t imagine why IKEA continues to use this company with so many unhappy customers.

I’ve got the same story that most have here: bought IKEA things, set up a scheduled day/​time window, it didn’t work out.
First, they rescheduled us for a week out from the original date. At least it was a Saturday so we could just stay home and wait for the delivery… but after not hearing anything to confirm, we got a call in the middle of the delivery window on the day of letting us know that they couldn’t deliver due to lack of drivers.
We had to reschedule to a week day (which involved rearranging work schedules), and I specifically said I could do any time *except* noon to 2 pm. Guess what delivery time window they called us with that morning via automated message (so there was no way to contact someone directly and change it)? Thank goodness my partner was able to move things around so he could be here.
IKEA is likely under contract and can’t do much about this, but here’s hoping they change carriers as fast as that contract runs out.

This is the worst shipping company of all time. They confirmed with me on three separate occasions and all three times never showed up. I had to call them to find out that they were not going to actually deliver my order. One more try, and this last time they called me to let me know they lost my order from IKEA.
I just ended up cancelling my order at IKEA because it’s not worth the time and frustration.

Called me early in the morning 3 times to deliver a recorded message that they’d deliver between 11am and 3pm. I got a call at 2:40pm from their driver saying that they’d be here within 30 minutes to one hour, outside the delivery window previously given. Spent the entire day waiting around for them. It’s currently outside their delivery window and they’re still not here. Can’t spend the entire day waiting for around for this. ¹⁄₅ stars. It’s the truth. Please, IKEA, choose a better delivery service for your orders.

Very poor customer service
Kept me home on a Sunday evening for a delivery to be made between 5 to 9. The delivery was never made and nobody bothered to call and inform us. I had to call the company and stay on hold for so long with no clear resolution at the end.
I got the generic answers that other reviewers mentioned in other reviews.
Such a disappointing experience.

Would have given a big fat zero if I could.
Ikea delivers through Dynamex and that could be the biggest disadvantage of shopping from Ikea.
After spending hours in Ikea and finding some items, I decided to have them shipped to my place. Paid 60something bucks and chose a bracket of 4 hours during which my purchase was going to be delivered to me (5 – 9 PM on a Sunday afternoon)
Besides staying at home the whole Sunday afternoon and not doing much in anticipation of my delivery, I was still on phone at 10 PM trying to figure out where the driver is and why he has not contacted me yet. Turns out the driver had been back to the warehouse for a while and every operator would keep telling me the truck will be there in 20 minutes over and over again.
Lost all my Sunday, have to sit at home another day during the week, and now I am not even sure if it is going to be delivered or not.
Very unprofessional, very poor communication and I am baffled why a company like Ikea would have a contract with DYNAMEX. At this point, I believe it is Ikea’s fault to have them deliver, not DYNAMEX’s fault. They are just bad at what they do and it is Ikea that should know better… Super disappointed

Got a late call (9:30pm) with a automated message on my 4 hour window. They called me one minute away to let me know they are coming… Wished it was more but it’s fine since they arrived within the 4-​hour window. All my ikea boxes were delivered. Two young guys but they got the job done.

We are glad to see that at least one person had a good experience regarding the Delivery Service of DYNAMEX contracted under IKEA. Alas, we are going to have to side with the majority of the Unilocal reviews and give them one star for lack of professionalism and lack of service. Our complaint is similar to the others so we will not bore you with the details.
We will say that it is in your best interest not to use IKEA’S delivery service in Seattle until IKEA contracts with a new and better courier and delivery service company. If you do use them then «buyer beware» and you use them at your own risk. Please remember to read the fine print of your receipt and online purchase and delivery statement. Even if you do cancel your delivery due to the lack of customer service or lack of delivery service because of the incompetent service of DYNAMEX you may not get back all or some of your Delivery Fee.
We do hope that IKEA will remember not only Unilocal complaints but, We are sure the several other complaints, regarding DYNAMEX when they go to renew the contract they have with less then professional delivery service. IKEA, IKEA’s customers, and Seattle deserves better.

My wife arranged a delivery from Ikea. They rescheduled the delivery date and then on the rescheduled date they did not show up, nor call. When I called they couldn’t get in touch with the driver so they said they left him a message to call us. No call. I called back the next day and the person that picked up the phone said it should have showed up the day before and couldn’t provide anymore information. Upon asking to escalate, I was sent to another agent that tried to contact the driver again but could not reach him. The best they could offer was a call back.
Very poor communication and unreliable service. Still waiting on my shipment to arrive.

I’d give negative stars if possible. By far the worst service I’ve encountered in many years, maybe ever. I had a delivery scheduled with them through IKEA. I stayed home for their 11 – 3 window, they came AFTER the 4 hour delivery window TO THE WRONG ADDRESS and told me they wouldn’t be able to deliver to me that day because my location was outside their route even though it was THEIR MISTAKE they went to the wrong address for delivery.
I called the company, waited on hold forever and was told the mgr was on a phone call and they’d call me right after they got off the call.
Then I called IKEA (which ended up being a 90+ minute phone call with all their holds) to find out it was the delivery company’s mistake in the wrong address and that the delivery company told IKEA that they couldn’t deliver my couch ’til 2 days later. I just moved cross country, I have no seating and so my friend I had planned to have over and I sat on the floor last night because of their mistake that they refused to fix. Sure, it’s not the end of the world to sit on the floor a couple nights, but I paid for a service and they didn’t provide it. I just want what I paid for.
Also, if you make a mistake, fix it in a timely fashion and with less rudeness please.

*Yesterday I called and was told the mgr would call me back. They didn’t.
*Yesterday afternoon I called and was told the mgr had gone home. I left a message to have them call me in the morning. They didn’t.
*Today I called on my lunch to talk to the mgr. They sent an email to the Mgr (Jeff) to call me and said that either she or Jeff would call me soon. No call.
*This evening I waited on the long hold once again only to tell me all they could do was email Jeff for me and that he would call me (sure he will!) and that there was no one else that could help me.
*IKEA could only reschedule my delivery to Wednesday (2 days late) and give me a 9am-​9pm window. I have a day job. This should have been delivered Monday on my day off. Fix it!
Terrible, awful, rude and laughable ‘service’. I feel like I’m being punked. Highly frustrating and don’t follow through with one thing they’ve said. Obviously could care less about their clients.

Terrible experience. They lost my foam mattress and box springs on the way home and received only small staff I ordered with it. They had them on their list to sign but couldn’t find it in their car… how stupid is that? You might think when they go to someones house they check the list with whats in the car. And this is not stopping here. They asked me to call Ikea so I had to waste my time trying to figure out where is the merchandise. Ikea told me the merchandise should be in Dynamex warehouse. So called back Dynamex and ask them to search in their damn house. After couple of days with no answer (how long does it take to search for a mattress?), called again and think only then they started them to look for it. After couple of weeks I had it. Terrible… When I thought the story is about to end, now after a month I receive e-​mail from Ikea that my Ikea order has been shipped with Dynamex. Called Dynamex to ask what shipment is this about and they made me call again Ikea. After half an hour waiting on the phone found out Ikea sent again the foam mattress and the box springs. Is it me or these guys are from other planet?

Firstly, when I called Dynamex, this guy was really impatient with me when I had to ask him to repeat what he said. Then the delivery guys came, and honestly, they don’t even deserve a single star! I paid $ 60+ for delivery and one of them actually told me, 7-​months pregnant and all, to help them carry one of my packages. What the hell?

Thought I should write a good review since it seems like only those with negative experiences are posting for this company (IKEA delivery). I had a good experience — good communication. They called several days in advance to allow me to schedule a day that worked for me. The one star off for not calling the night before to give me a 4-​hour delivery window when I was told I would receive a call. I called them myself and the window had already been set so at least it was available.
The next morning, I received a call from the delivery team letting me know they were about 30 min from arrival, so I appreciated the heads up. When they arrived, they were efficient, really fast, and courteous. Very easy, pleasurable experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to have them deliver again!

If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. I ordered a mattress and bed frame from ikea. They delivered the bed frame but forgot to deliver the mattress (which was found at the warehouse). I tried to reschedule the delivery twice and apparently it wasn’t put in. Two weeks later and I still have no mattress… I paid $ 99 for shipping. Seriously?

To their credit, they showed up within the window that they said they would.
In order for the couch they were delivering to come into the house, the old one had to come out of the room. I asked if they could lend a hand. They said «No, we don’t do that». Nothing heir job apparently. Then they stood by and watched my husband and myself (7 months pregnant) struggle to move the couch out. It was a short distance, would have been easy for one other non-​pregnant person to lend a hand, it would have taken all of 2 minutes. It took me several breaks and a good deal of struggle to lift and move it with my husband. There was no other choice. They stood there with pillows in their hands. Lovely gentlemen.

This is the delivery company for Ikea. What a joke! They didn’t call the night before. Instead, called the day of the delivery at 8:34am! What if I had gone to work? (And to top it off, then they lost the biggest part of my order). Ugh.

Completely unacceptable delivery experience. The delivery date confirmed by their rep over the phone never made it into their system. Wasted a day waiting for a delivery and trying to talk with people from Dynamex over the phone, but no one was able to help me except to tell me that a dispatcher from the local office should contact me within 48 hours to reschedule. Problem is that I’m not available to accept a delivery again for weeks, so now what am I supposed to do?
We’ll see what ends up happening, but I’m not feeling like they’ll be able to do anything but screw things up further at this point. Disappointed that IKEA has contracted with this company and wish I could choose a different delivery company.
