Chandlers Bay Apartments

We have been in our place for years. We loved the place until we got a new neighbor downstairs who is very rude slamming doors shooting cars from their balcony dog barking non stop. Oh and when I say dog I mean a huge mean German Shepard who scares most of the people in the building. Who can bring a mean aggressive German Shepard to an apartment complex I guess you can there. I hope anyone who received damage to their cars because of these people come forward because the office is aware who did this and did nothing it’s just sad that because of one horrible renter you have the good ones who want to leave. Oh and don’t forget the other poor guy who had all his tires stolen because there is no lights protecting the cars.

I have lived at Chandlers Bay for years… i love it here. The staff is amazing and actually cares about what is going on in the buildings. I have seen drastic improvement in my time staying here. They really do try to keep it all in order. Plys I believe if you are kind to other, they are kind to you. The only downfall is most peeps with pets. they do not pick up after them so a walk in the grass can not happen. Other than that i am happy. No new reno for me as i have been here for a while but it’s ok. I enjoy peaceful living. The staff is awesome very pleasant and always professional. Every time I think about moving I change my mind because of the pros at The Bay. I just pray for peaceful neighbors as always. Keep up the good work you are appreciated:)

For a first apartment for my husband and I, we could not have been happier. Like any apartment living, there is noise around you. You can’t judge an apartment complex solely on the noise around you in the apartment. That being said, yes, we heard our neighbors when they did workouts upstairs or hear the baby cry downstairs. But, the walls aren’t thin, it’s just apartment living. We enjoyed our stay. When we had water damage, Larry and Linda Sue were quick to come and fix the damage. Maintenance is fast and knowledgeable, as well as the staff in the office. Julienne is wonderful, always a smile on her face. For the price, it was a great apartment. If you have an unrenovated apartment, don’t expect all the bells and whistles, there may be repairs, but Chandler’s Bay does their best to make the apartment perfect to live in.
My car was broken into the first week there, crime isn’t the best in the area, but you should always look up the crime statistics in the area before you move, and that would be a good idea before moving to this part of Kent.
We lived on the little pond, the ducks are very peaceful and relaxing. I would recommend Chandler’s Bay to my friends and family. I would suggest getting an upgraded apartment and of course take photos upon entrance and on leaving, that’s common sense.

We have lived here for 3 months. The grounds are well kept and the ladies in the office have always been nice.
We moved into a newly «remodeled» apartment (it was flooded before we moved in). The finishes are cheaply done, more than 75% of our plugs did not work at all and had to be replaced. The P trap in the bathroom wasn’t even hooked up at all. The bathroom had the worst smell all of the time, regardless of how much I cleaned it. Speaking of smells, the field down the hill at Carpinito is so bad in the summer hear. The brand new refrigerator is turned all of the way up to cold and still doesn’t work that well. We got an old used dryer that had a used dryer vent just shoved inside. There are so many dog owners that do not clean up after there dogs. Everyone drives like a bat out of hell through the parking lot.
We were happy to move out of this place.

My partner and I moved into Chandlers Bay around 5 years ago. We have always had prompt maintenance service and find them to be knowledgeable and very willing to assist with any need we have. LindaSue is our favorite — she always has a smile on and seems to take an active interest in making our facilities clean and operational. LindaSue even waters our plants when we go out of town. Yes the property has new owners and in the first few months they had a lot of turnover; however, most of the maintenance staff remains the same. We are so glad to have LindaSue around — what a gem. We love living at Chandlers Bay and recommend it to all our friends. Actually, one of our friends did move in and he too loves the place.

So many things wrong with this place and the Unilocal page. The phone number is not in service for Unilocal,the apartment complex changed companies so you can no longer pay rent online, the website is nowhere to be found so I cannot find out how much rent is exactly, and the pictures are not current. The pool is closed during the winter and is never cleaned hardly at all. The hot tub and gym are currently under construction and have been for a month over when it should have been done. All the appliances and shower are old and seemed to have not been updated in years. (I am in a 2 bed one bath unit.) Only two people out of the whole staff I can stand, the rest are rude. No place to put outgoing mail. Getting charged extra utilities for a cosigner because their name is on our lease (they aren’t paying their share…) and they said they can’t do anything about that because she is on the lease but she isn’t living here… I’m pretty fed up with this place. Do not move here!
