In mid May I took my Suburban in to get checked. They discovered that there was an oil leak (two seals were bad) and steering pump leak. I told them to go ahead and fix it for $ 1700. Later that day they called and said the head was cracked and the total would be $ 4800 bucks. I told them to stop all work and they did and I went and picked it up. I went and got a 2^nd and 3^rd opinion and they both told me the same thing. The oil leak was coming from a oil pressure sensor ($ 100 est) all the seals were fine. The power steering pump was fine as well. The head was not cracked it just needed new valve covers ($ 400 est). I walked out of there paying $ 500 and Automotive experts was trying to charge me $ 4800. They either have technicians that are no good or not honest. Both of which hurts people and family’s and should not happen.

Chris and Robert are great! The biggest concern when looking for someone to repair your car is you want someone you can trust. And I trust these guys. They have worked on all of our cars 1969 Chevelle, a lifted jeep and other cars and we only have high praise for the work that has been done.

Great Guy’s, fair prices and very good quality service! I will be back for sure when I have another need.

I don’t know where to begin. These guys are amazing. I’ve gone through a handful shady mechanics and I swear this place is not one of them. Robert is ridiculously nice. I was having a shitty day and got on the phone and yelled at Robert I was way out of line and he handled it amazingly well. They sent tow trucks to my place while I was at work to help me out. They fix my car every time all in the same day and it’s quality work. They don’t try to rip me off or scam every penny out of me. Buckys in federal way quoted me four hundred dollars more than auto experts and they were rude. Robert always takes the time to listen to your concerns about your car. Best shop I have ever been to a d recommend it. I moved a little ways away and I’m still driving well out of my way just to go to auto experts.

Some time ago I was having a problem with my car heating up and not cooling down. I took it in to AE and was told that for my ’02 Jetta it was a water pump problem and it would cost over $ 1300! Funny, I took it to a neighborhood shop by my office in Auburn and it cost me $ 175 in parts and labor for a new thermostat. I have a hard time understanding how this could be misdiagnosed. I won’t be going back. (I gave one star simply being open, present for being knowledgeable about the parts that I did not need.)

Hands down the best mechanic I have Ever been to! I have been coming to Miguel for over two years, and he has always been Extremely kind & helpful on my big fixes. At this point I won’t even let anyone else do an oil change on my car. Regardless where you are– Miguel is worth the drive.

I love these guys. Unfortunately my beloved Elantra went here to die and not be resurrected, but the managers were fabulous with storing her while I made accomodations for her to be picked up. Thanks again!

Brought my vehicle in for a sparks plug replacement. That experience was great… received a «bill of health» with recommendations for repairs/​replacements. Was told the most pressing one would be good to address in the near future to mitigate a major failure. Made the arrangements to do so ~3 months later to be told that repair was not needed, but I had about $ 4000 in other repairs I should consider. My issue was not resolved but rather «come in for a free oil change.» Sorry, I just spent $ 100 for a diagnostic your team conducted and then contradicted and that didn’t seem to phase your management.

I was very highly impressed with the service at Automotive Experts. My Durango needed it’s brakes done badly (so badly in fact that I braked to turn into the parking lot and I slid on by, had to do a u-​turn and come back). The mechanic at the front desk was extremely personable (I think his name was Chris). He gave me a flat fee for the inspection on my vehicle and promised they wouldn’t continue any work on it until I gave the okay. He was extremely honest about the condition and the work that needed to be done. We even joked about the possible donation of my intensely damaged old parts to the shop’s «Wall of Shame». My new brakes are wonderful! They even fixed an obnoxious squeaky belt I had, and I never mentioned it needed to be done. I will never have another mechanic shop do work on any of my vehicles. Automotive Experts is a place for car lovers, owned by car lovers. They possess the rare combination of both speed and skillful care only available to true experts.
Absolutely everything from my visit was commendable, from the friendly front service desk, the expediency of their work, to the accurate care of my car, and the no nonsense break down of what my car needed.
I can’t even buy the same materials to change my oil at the cost they could replace it at! They really pass their savings onto the customer.
A big plus was how honest they were with the condition of my car, my service manual recommends replacing a lot of fluids at 90,000 miles and I didn’t have the extra time or money to get it done at that moment. Automotive Experts inspected all the fluids and they caught all the problem fluids needing to be replaced, but not immediately necessary. Even came back into the shop with their finger coated in some of the fluids as proof to how well the car was doing.
It was definitely a load of my mind knowing I could keep driving my car across country without putting down a big payment on my vehicle.

Great service! Went in to get my harley pipe welded back together. I was a walk in and they fit me in no problem. The place is very clean and the staff is extremely courteous. Would recommend for any automotive service.

Our car did not smoke before we brought it here. Now it smokes a lot and burns 2 to 3 quarts of oil each month.

I called a few small businesses to try to get Suzy’s oil changed same day (my Suzuki Grand Vitara) and when I called Automotive Experts – initially they told me they were booked – but when I told them that I would probably have to go to Jiffy Lube as a last resort (and I hate Jiffy Lube), the guy on the phone said, «Oh no we can’t let that happen» and he told me to come bring my car in and they would fit me in. Suzy and I found the store with no problems, I received super friendly customer service, the bathroom was clean, they changed my oil super fast, and they only charged me $ 37 total which in my opinion is not a good deal. It’s a GREAT deal.

Had the best customer experience over the phone. First time customer so I called to schedule an oil appointment for the next day. Tyler told me that they were all booked up for the next 3 days, and I said «Oh I’ll have to come back another time then, as I have a road trip tomorrow.» He said, «Well hold on, let me get my manager.» Chris came on the phone, and was able to schedule me in for the next day, even though he said they’re low on technicians. He took down my information, and we even shop-​talked about my car for a few minutes. Very friendly yet professional.
Arrived the next day, and Chris is just as professional and friendly in person. He said, «Yep, we’re not going to say you have a dirty air filter unless you do.» The price for the oil change was completely fair. I’ll never step foot in a Jiffy Monkey again! Shop was clean, pits were clean, and everyone was working hard.
I’ll be taking all my vehicles here. Definitely check these guys out.

I recently moved back and just got work done on my car last week. They STILL ROCK! Got an oil change and cabin air filter changed in 30 minutes! They are rockstars! Chris is awesome and had my new filter waiting for me when I got there. Keep up the great work, guys! :)

Good old Check Engine Light illuminated just as I pulled in to the emissions testing station. At first I was loving my luck, but I did luck out with their availability to get my Mazda3 in for diag and service.
Friendly folks and willing to explain what the code meant… and the possible causes… and working hard to contain costs. The Chris’s (there are TWO of them!) and their team are quite something. I will be back…

These guys are awesome! This is what friendly customer service is really all about. I have a Mercedes that’s not always easy to get or find parts for but Chris always goes above and beyond (even on his time off) to find me what I need. They are totally fair and honest and they now have a loyal customer for life! I honestly wish more businesses were this good, friendly, and dedicated to their customers!

I just went in today for an oil change with general multi-​point inspection and getting a headlight fixed. I had previously lived in the Seattle Metro area but not here, and my old mechanic was just too far. I had moved out of state some years ago and just moved back, via cross-​country drive.
I talked to Chris S. on the phone before arriving and Chris O. (hope I got his last initial right — either way he is the owner) greeted me when I arrived. Well, they both did, but Chris O. took my keys.
Chris S. had scheduled me for 4pm but I arrived about half an hour early and they took me back at that time. They were all done within about an hour.
Best of all — my car had an annoying squeal that was advised by another mechanic was likely my A/​C compressor (a $ 600 part), and others speculated differently from that. When I mentioned what I was told, both Chris’ said «It’s not either of those.»
Initially, Chris O. said it might take some time to access the belt that was at fault. But before I left, he checked again and decided he might be able to get to it. Within a few minutes, he’d fixed it and the annoying squeal is now gone — one that had been around for MONTHS, past TWO mechanics!
Both Chris’ were exceptionally helpful, friendly and honest right from the get-​go, before I even walked in the door. That was my first time there, but they instantly made a repeat customer of me. Highly recommended!

Not a fan

Great service, fair pricing, honest dealing. It is so rare to find an automotive shop where they just deal straight with you. They never try to overstate a small problem, or understate a big one. They always call before doing any work, and present less expensive alternatives if possible.
Highly recommend them!
