Don’t go here unless you want to spend a lot of money. Dress options are underwhelming and they run big. When you need alterations, Pattrapon is not enthusiastic, charges a lot of money, and gets back to you late. I’d 100% recommend Pontes James in Bethesda not only for dress alterations but for ANY alterations.

Pon is incredibly talented at what she does, and her no-pressure, fun style was so refreshing after watching years of «Say Yes to the Dress» and expecting the worst. Just make sure you’ve got your perfect dress in mind, and try a few different styles while in her shop. She also did all of my bridesmaid dresses — the same color of blue chiffon in a different style for each bridesmaid. She was attentive to each one of the girls, tailoring it for bust size and all their varying heights. They turned out so beautifully! I would recommend Pon in the highest regard for any bride.

I was very happy with my experience working with Pattrapon! Pattrapon is patient, kind, and professional, which was a relief with all the stress of wedding planning going on. I was searching for a long-sleeved wedding dress for my winter wedding, but they are hard to find. At Pattrapon’s store, I found the most beautiful Maggie Sottero strapless dress. I was surprised when Pattropon easily and pleasantly agreed to make sleeves for the dress, which was not my experience at other bridal stores. I felt like she took time for as many fittings as necessary to be sure the dress was perfect. I would definitely recommend Pattrapon.

Pattrapon is very patient and not at all pushy. She doesn’t gush over you, she simply helps guide you to the perfect gown and fit. I told her I wanted an old Hollywood starlet look and she nailed it with a long satin gown with Swarowski appliqué on the hip. Her alterations were minimal and perfect.

Really surprising gem. The store is small but has one of the best dress selections I have seen. She is incredibly organized and professional. Definitely a good destination for any bridal need!

Update: My dress turned out PERFECT. And I even went back to have my rehearsal dinner dress and bachelorette party dress(with layers of sequins no less!) altered, and they were also perfect. This woman is fabulous and I can’t say enough great things about her and her shop!

I went to Pattrapon after searching for an A-line crinoline slip and nude bra cups. I called into the store and was so relieved that she had the items in stock, not to mention the prices were very reasonable compared to other bridal shops I had gone to in the Columbia area. Pattrapon was super friendly and helpful for what I needed!

I had high hopes for Pattrapon, based on other reviews, but I left feeling annoyed, disappointed, and frustrated. I went in not really having a clear idea of what I wanted, so that may have been my mistake. My mom and I got there early and we told to browse the book of dress options while we waited in the tiny, cramped shop. After marked up several dresses that I liked, I was told that I would only have enough time to try on six dresses and so I’d have to narrow down my choices. Once I was able to try on the dresses, I had a hard time finding one that was the right size, which made if tricky to see if they actually looked good on me. We were told that the one way to try most of the dresses I liked in a size 8, I’d have to order it! It seems like Pattrapon carried mostly larger sizes or really small sizes, not what I understand is the average size in DC. While I liked some of them, the whole experience turned me off of buying a dress there. After trying on eight dresses and finishing early(disproving the standard six dresses in an hour) I went to another salon that was above and beyond a better experience. Perhaps if I had known exactly what I wanted it might have been easier.

I’m so glad I found this shop. It’s just two miles from my house, so that is awesome. But best of all, I found my perfect wedding dress in…*drumroll please*…twenty minutes. The very helpful owner of Pattrapon listened to my list of likes and dislikes, made some suggestions, and found a dress that I just fell in love with. The shop is very small compared to some other bridal shops, but she somehow manages to squeeze a lot of sample dresses in so that you can get an idea of what looks good on your figure. I was so grateful for the excellent service I got here, and would definitely recommend them to any bride looking for a relaxed dress buying experience.

My search for dyeable wedding shoes led me to Pattrapon. Before heading here, I called the store to see if they had any available for me to look at and try on. She said they had about ten in the store that I could try on. Sweet! Pattrapon is a super tiny store located on antique row in Kensington. Parking is available in the super tiny lot adjacent to the store, or park along the street. The owner of the store was very sweet and friendly. She showed me the dyeable wedding shoes that she had available. Unfortunately, I didn’t like any of them. Fortunately, she had a couple of books that I could look through. It was nice because she could order them, have me try them on, then send them off to get dyed. Unfortunately, I didn’t like any of them. The prices were also marked up at least $ 20(I recognized a lot of them from online). Besides shoes, Pattrapon had a decent amount of wedding gowns(especially for the size of the store). They also have bridesmaids gowns and several bridal accessories. Cute store, but my search continues.
