Another interesting little bar with almost all regulars. A good time with the locals. Went here when I came down to visit one of my friends who attends UW-Parkside. The bar is just outside the campus and within relative walking distance. My friend suggested that we should just go to Remo’s so we would not have to drive. I didn’t know what to expect really. The bar patrons are kind of an eclectic group. As soon as I sat down, I had an older woman come over and ask if I was interested in some bed sheets/comforter. I’m not into used bed sheets, especially from a dive bar. The bar itself is relatively small, with a few tvs, darts, video slot machines, and a few video games. The drinks here are pretty cheap. If the bartender named«Shooter» is working, ask him for one of his long island ice teas for just $ 5. They’ll knock you on your ass if you’re not careful. Speaking of being knocked on your ass, while I was there the owner was having a few drinks at the bar as well. The dude got so drunk that we fell backward off his stool. He could barely even talk. Someone had to drag him out and take him home. If you think the weirdness ends there, you’d be wrong. It so happens that this bar has one of those punching bag games. The bartender«Shooter» got challenged by one of the patrons to get a higher score. Well Shooter ended up breaking his hand on the game. He then began bar tending with his weaker hand for the rest of the night. He’s dedicated. Overall, it’s a basic bar with some interesting patrons. If you want a good story to tell at the end of the night, this«off the beaten path» type place may be right up your alley.
