This bakery is ok. Not much of what my husband wanted, but the pastries were fresh. He sais the cardamom cream puff had zero flavor. Thus place just wan’t for us. Many people like it tho.

We love Linnea, and try to stop whenever passing through town. They have excellent coffee and many delicious homemade specialties. The cardamom bread and soups are great, and their coffee bean blend is great to take home. Lots of fun Scandinavian import goods that are fairly hard to find these days, especially in Kenosha. Great décor, the place itself is cozy and relaxing, just like a café should be. The staff has always been very helpful. We’ll continue to make a point to stop at Linnea when visiting the area.

This is a great place, from the friendly atmosphere to the yummy food, this is a favorite place to stop for lunch or a snack. The cupcakes I have tried have all been delicious, the frosting is amazing and the cake is very flavorful. Don’t expect a light fluffy cake though, these are more dense but still good. I have had the turkey, the roast beef and the egg salad sandwiches, I thoroughly enjoyed all but the egg salad. Something about the seasoning did not appeal to me at all but I think it is just a matter of personal preference and not the food itself. It is definitely on the pricier side but it is a nice, unique spot to go to and well worth the trip!

Absolutely one of my favorite little spots in Kenosha! Soup is divine especially on a cold winter’s day. Pastries fresh and delicious. Definitely not a place to be in a rush but a great spot to meet an old friend for lunch or bring some to treats home for the family.

Great little downtown gem. They have a large selection of nordic gifts, candy, holiday items besides the wonderful baked goods!!! If you have someone who is Norwegian, Finnish or Swedish, they will adore this place!!! Try the cardamom coffee

Linnea Bakery is an aesthetic delight. It is clean, bright, colorful, and tastefully outfitted with Scandinavian décor. The display case is full of delectable pastries, and the soup I had was superb. My one quibble is the absence of ceramic cups for coffee and tea.

Amazing baked goods — the kind that remind you of childhood cause they actually contain butter!!! I love the homemade hummus and get it all the time. Great gift shop as well, really fun and unique items. The staff is engaging and welcoming too. Perfect place to catch up with friends for breakfast or lunch(omg — those soups!!).

I found this place a couple of years ago, while in Pleasant Prairie. Drove up only to find it closed for the shorter winter hours… Now this week I found time to revisit. There are 3 Scandinavian items on display. And those are the 3 that you get to chose from. But that’s ok. The place is small, family style… Coffee was very good. The service ok. My egg sandwich was ready when I came in, just sitting on a shelf. It got thrown into the microwave in order to be warmed up. Let me say it: no Chicago restaurant/bakery would be caught dead just reheating the food… bleh. My table was dirty, there was a fly sitting next to em the whole time I ate. Not interested in my food: there was enough food on the table. So they have a couple of Scandinavian food items, Ikea colored walls, English editions of Scandinavian authors. Great idea, needs more definition. As of this week this place says: Whatever.

My wife and daughter enjoy this place and this past Saturday brought me. It is located in a small storefront. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. I had the Swedish Meatball Bomber. It was delicious, but let me warn you it is very messy(in a good way). I also tried a bite of my daughter’s sandwich. I don’t know the name, but it was damn good. Good food, friendly atmosphere, all at a reasonable price.

I come here at least twice a week lately. Their soups are always flavorful and creative and make a great lunch along with a chunk of their homemade bread. Their coffee is pretty great too. They get their own blend from Stone Creek up in Milwaukee. All of their baked items are great! I especially recommend the brunscracker, soft shortbready stuff that’s to die for My husband also informs me that their egg salad sandwiches are like heroin in egg salad sandwich form

I go here to work at least once a week. Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing, and I love seeing what fresh soup they’re having that day. The egg salad sandwiches are delicious! Awesome, cute, quiet place to go to read, work, or chat for a few hours.

I go here weekly to work. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and it is one of the most pleasant atmospheres I’ve encountered. Their baked goods are from scratch and always good, as are their soup and sandwiches. They also sell little gifts and food from Scandinavia. Try their new hummus with knackebrod. Can’t get enough of this joint.

Creamed Kale soup… amazing, jarlesburg roast beef sandwich(don’t know to describe the bread other than great) with cloud berry iced tea. If you’ve never been here you have to try it, if you have been here you know why you keep coming back

Took the family here for lunch after walking around the Harbor Market, and we weren’t sure what to expect. We ordered a few sandwiches and pastries to share and everything was delicious! The kids asked for seconds and we did order some more to go. The cinnamon rolls with cardamom are a must. They also have a cute little gift area where I can see myself shopping in the future

I was very dissapointed in our 1st experience with Linnea Bakery. I had called around town to find someone to make a bday cake w/Stevia instead of sugar. I was delighted they called me back and I felt confident after the phone call it would be good. I never received a confirmation email after I emailed what I wanted the cake to say. Come Friday I was at the house until 12:00 and then they tried calling @ 12:30 saying my cake wouldnt be ready at 2. Granted I missed the phone call I had to go back home and come back at 3… then when I came back I was qouted $ 30 over the phone and was told $ 53. The cake weighed about 100 lbs and was very dense and mushy like dough. I had asked for Vanilla cake and it tasted like a thick thick Banana bread w/nutmeg. I am really a nice person but this had to be told. No one at the party ate it. I wish they would have told me they didnt specialize in birthday cakes as my 4 year old was sad the cake wasn’t good.

My new favorite place in town and I don’t go there nearly enough. Being married to someone straight from Sweden, I was thrilled when Linnea Bakery opened. Now I can get those great cinnamon buns and savory sandwiches that we love when we’re in Stockholm. Even better, they now carry Scandinavian imports and I’m able to stock up on Lingonberries and get Julmust at Christmas time. Owners are friendly and always smiling. Staff is always helpful. Place is quaint, clean and inviting! Love it there! So glad to have them in downtown Kenosha!

I went to this place on Saturday, after a crappy start to the day. The morning was cold, slippery, and I missed my train to city. I went here to just grab a cup of coffee, and sulk. I ended up purchasing a bacon-muffinish good, with some sort of butter substance on top. It was delicious, and made the rest of the day a bit more delightful. They have an assortment of savory and sweet baked goods. This is the kind of place where you buy fancy treats to impress family and friends. I wish they were open on Sundays.

Delightful Scandanavian Bakery in downtown Kenosha. You simply must try the Cardamom infused coffee with the reindeer cookies(Pfefferkuchen?) cookies. And the Swedish Meatball soup was simply«to die for.»

Really a unique Scandinavian bakery right in downtown Kenosha. Cardamom coffee! Dark horse cookies! REAL, just-whipped cream, not like the overly sweet stuff at a traditional bakery. No donuts here-everything unique and authentic! And the owners are absolutely lovely people!
