As a self-proclaimed burger critic, I’m always on the hunt for«the best burger». I’d heard of Grabs from a friend, and decided to give it a try when I was in town passing through. I was there on a Tuesday night so I can’t speak for the claims that it was slow, but our food came very fast and we had 10 people in our group. I asked for slightly pink and got slightly pink. The freshness of the meat is very obvious in the flavor. You can tell it’s never been frozen. While I generally love spices, a burger that hasn’t been loaded full of spices and fillers is rare and refreshing, as all you taste is the true beefy goodness. The cheese– well, what else needs to be said– it’s Wisconsin. The atmosphere was great, the staff was very friendly, and the owner even stopped by the table to say hello, probably because the place wasn’t busy at all. It’s a little small inside, but I’m told they plan on expanding soon. Oh– and the best test of all… Most burger places land me in the bathroom by the time the bill comes, and I can happily say my guts very much appreciated that Grabs did not produce that result! Absolutely worth trying, but if you’re in a time crunch, weekdays would probably be best due to the well-deserved popularity of the place.

They are only getting 3 stars for the fries. Burgers were ordered medium and medium rare and not a hint of pink in either of them. Go to Rons if you are looking for a great burger. Cooked perfect every time.

The burger was slightly smaller than I expected based on how it was described and smaller than the burger my friend ordered. It was extremely well seasoned and very juicy which somewhat made up for the size. The fries were heavenly, again seasoned very well and cooked to perfection. I tried a milk shake as well which was average and did not live up to what the waitress had billed it as. I’ll be returning and hope that the burger is as big in size as it is in flavor this time. Part 2: I have since visited Grabs multiple times and the food has only gotten better. The service, the atmosphere, and the food are the best. I have developed an addiction to Grabs and it is my go to place to eat. Check the blackboard on the way in for the burger of the week/day, if you love it remember it and ask for it the next time as they will often continue to make your favorites even if they are not listed on the menu.

Used to love this burger restaurant but it has really slipped in the last month. Service is slow and the food just so so. Really sad.
Burger selection is extensive, my family and I loved everything we ordered! Breakfast in Bed, Indian Trial Smokehouse, and build your own were all great. French fries were extremely thin cut, and salty. Very tasy! Also, to really round out the experience, had some shakes. They were great as well, not too thick.

Great burgers! And the Black Lodge Pinto Noir was delish. My husband had the Smokehouse burger with jalapeños…yum! And the bed and breakfast was great also. Also we consider ourselves«cheese curd» conisseaurs. With that being said, these cheese curds rate #2, right behind the basis for all judgement… Culver’s. Well done Grab’s…keep up the good work.

I had the most delicious burger I have ever tasted here! The orientation is amazing: grilled mushrooms, Swiss cheese and garlic mayo. I am not exaggerating it was the best burger I’ve had in a long time. The fries were also super good. The shakes are insane. We had the coffee shop, which had powdered donuts blended inside with a strong coffee flavored ice cream. The shakes are huge, but fun to drink and share. This place was totally unexpected and my cravings will be pulling me back here very soon!

The burgers were great and the cheese curds were pretty good too. We went full on glutton and got a nutty buddy shake which was to die for… the only thing that needs work is the service. We had to constantly ask for things that should have been a given.(Kids menu for a child, spoon for chili, refills on long awaiting glasses, etc)

This place is a burger bar, and while they do have good hamburgers what I like most about Grab’s are the shakes. They are super rich and taste great. Would highly recommend getting one if you visit. They serve your fries with a specialized little wooden fork that successfully picks them up every time. Fry forks are a complete novelty as far as I’m concerned but they’re also a great little touch and I would, for some reason, miss them if no longer served with every meal. Great, modern interior. Friendly waitstaff, clean place. Oh, and good cheese curds too.

After hearing about Grab’s for a while, decided to check it out for lunch. Went with two of my sisters. Service was excellent. Our server was new but fast and really good! Our food was excellent. I had the Frat Burger — cheeseburger with pretzels and peanut butter and bacon on a pretzel bun. Unfreakinbeliebably delicious! Came with a huge order of fries too. Food was hot when it came and just really good. Had one of their amazing malts too. Moderately priced place… and it was busy right at the lunch hour. This place was great!

Just passing through looking for a good place to stop for lunch. Great service, very friendly. I had the south of campus with chicken breast, which I highly recommend as a burger alternative. My husband had the orientation burger and that was really good as well!

Great burgers and quite a few micro brews(in bottles, no taps). Me and my son went there to check it out. We both loved our burgers and the fries are very different, a good different. Bill was kind of high, but that’s probably from me having 4 bottles of beer with my burger. :) Definitely go there again!

Pretty cool atmosphere. Not something you’d expect on the Northside of town. Service was great! More on that later… The menu is a little on the pricey side, but the food is good. Small tweaks and it would be stellar. We started with the«three little pigs» for an app. It would’ve been great, but the pulled pork was burned. Like, really burned. Ruined a few bites because it was like chewing on charcoal… I ordered the BIB(breakfast in bed) burger with Beer cheese soup for the side. My burger was great. Soup was awful and the popcorn as a garnish was a turnoff for me. My wife ordered the Parkside popper burger & she said it was REALLY spicey. The waitress was absolutely awesome and brought her a glass of milk without us asking for anything. Overall our waitress was great. On top of everything, knew the menu & didn’t let our drinks run dry. I’ll admit the dining room was pretty dead, but it was great service regardless. We decided on the Dirty Elvis shake for dessert. We wanted it to go and the waitress even split it into two separate to-go cups since we weren’t driving together. The bacon in the shake was a little confusing at first, but it was soooo good. I’ll definitely be back. Just a few small things stopping this place from being 5 stars in my book!

I live in the area and would always drive by to a rather packed restaurant. Took a chance and stopped in for a burger and was not disappointed. They offer a good selection of Wisconsin craft beers. The burger was full of flavor and complimented well by the waffle cut sweet potato fries. I did find the burger to be a little on the juicy side which has its pros and cons. The con being the mess that ensued. The pro being the taste that made it all worth it. The environment was friendly for family, but I caution the selection of beer is going to make that more of a midday to early evening option. The hostess was very attentive and helpful. All in all, a good experience and going to definitely return.

The food is absolutely great! Burgers are awesome i had the keno and my brother had the breakfast in bed both burgers were done to perfection! Fries are shoe string n a bit salty but good still… cheese curds are fresh n seems to be hand breaded. The service after the food arrives at your table seems a bit slow n kinda bad but not horrible! The male waiter gave his customers more options as to bun n french fry preference as our server did not. The environment is very pleasant and fun lots of tvs with sports n they offer Coffee and malts! I will definitely be returning to try the homemade pulled pork… good luck on the newer business n by the way love how you came up with the names of the burgers… very unique!

Burgers were good and the bacon shake was tasty. I wasn’t impressed with the fries. If your a sauceman they have plenty of different sauces you can order too.
