Red Wing Shoe Store

If you’re in the market for steel-​toed shoes, this is where you have to go in the Tri-​Cities. I picked up my first pair over a decade ago, and they’ve done me well (I still have them, and they are still useable) but, I was in need of a new pair.
There was just one person here working the store, and he was able to handle the three of us customers just fine. This time I wanted to go for a style that was non-​bootlike and they had two options (wish there were more). I went for the one which looked like a running shoe. It was surprisingly very comfortable. The choice was made.
I asked if I could get some insoles, and the gentleman picked some out for me. Put those in and dang – I was sold. (I always look forward to the opportunity of wearing these shoes when I’m workin’ at the lab at work!).
A cool note — the guy threw in the insoles for free! (they were ~$ 10).
Oh, and another note, this store will be moving up near Bonefish in the next few months (man, everyone’s moving up there!).
