Best mexican food in town unfortunately the lack of service can’t make up for great food. I’ve given this place numerous chances hoping a new server would better the experience yet every server is just as horrible as the last. I have to find the server when im ready to order, I have to find the server to get a water refill, along with to get a togo box and check. I will now only go to 3 margaritas or Azteca where the service is always good.

If you want good Mexican food, this is the place! I’ve eaten there several times through the years, and never once have I been disappointed. I like my salsa hot with my chips, and they have the best I’ve had in the area. They make it themselves and actually win prizes with it. Their shrimp ceviche is excellent, their mole dinners are to die for. The staff is friendly, courteous, and fun. Their margaritas are excellent. Their prices are reasonable. For what more can one ask.
This restaurant is casual, and kids are welcome. They have a large banquet room, if you’re in need of one. During the week, they have a taco buffet that always looks wonderful, and some day I’m going to try (they guys who come in and eat from it say it’s excellent).
Best Mexican food in the area! AND, wait, there’s more! It’s usually quiet enough you can talk to your friends without having to yell!

One of the best if not the best Mexican restaurants in the two cities. Everything comes hot and you don’t have to wait a life time for your good. Plus the staff are super friendly!

My husband and I are sort of Mexican food snobs, so when we saw the weary décor we expected mediocre food, at best. But no! The sopa de tortilla was rich with chicken and big enough to take home half for lunch the next day. My husband had the puerco en salsa verde and he fished his whole, generous plate! The staff was kind and helpful! Felidicades, La Chapala.

Some of the hottest and spiciest Mexican food I’ve ever had and the salsa is to die for, the people were very generous and attentive and you can tell they appreciate their customers and make them feel right at home, if only I lived in the Tri-​Cities area I’d come here at least once a week

Best salsa ever here!!! Love the trio fajitas very light if any grease used to cook it. Kids prices are awesome and they refill your chips and salsa and they also bring out bean dip which my kids gobble up. Huge margaritas (fish bowl size) and 32 oz beer mugs «I think so»!

Food was fantastic. Loved that the free chips came with both salsa AND bean dip. I had a vegetarian plate of enchiladas (spinach, onion, tomato, garlic and cheese.) It also came with black beans and rice. I left very full and with a snack for later.
Service was spotty — there was only one server for the entire floor, and she was overwhelmed. If I’d been in a hurry, I would have been really frustrated.

Tasty heavy food and a great place to have some drinks with dinner and enjoy your friends. Good prices. I like to sit in their bar while dining. Get a margarita or two or three, and let someone else drive. :)

El Chapala dinner menu offers more variety as compared to their lunch menu. We like the various Mexican Seafood entrees offered at dinner and they are very good. Lunch is average as compared to most other Mexican restaurants in town.

The food is excellent, the service is good. Atmosphere is well decorated and everything is clean. We always have a good time when we go there.
