I just love this place. The food is out of this world and the atmosphere is awesome. The staff is very helpful. Don’t get me started on the Mojitos

I am reading the reviews before writing about our experience yesterday and it feels we were in another restaurant. For us the experience was not pleasant at all! The food was horrendous, my husband and a friend asked for«parrillada» and the beef was dry, it looked like leather, the mariquitas were not fresh at all. The server never came to the table to see if we needed anything, I had to asked another waiter for salt, water, beer, napkins. The place was not full so we were not able to understand the reason of the poor service. We have tried this place before a few years ago and we enjoyed. We felt that yesterday the quality of the food and the service was poor. Our $ 105 bill was a waste of time and money.

Yum! I came here for a lunch date with my friend and we were pleasantly surprised by the great Cuban food hidden behind a shopping center. I got the pollo Cuban(Cuban sandwich but with chicken) and it was huge! I thought the sandwich came with some sides but it was just the sandwich. The waiter asked me if I wanted to add fries — however they gave me the tiniest portion of fries ever! Granted, the fries were crispy to perfection. For desert we got the mango cheesecake and it was extremely creamy and delicious — perfect for a light desert. I docked off two stars for the service. Some of the staff were very nice but not all of them. We wanted a solid 10 minutes to get our checks back and then the waiter left for another 5 minutes to find a pen. Another worker was just lounging around making eye contact as he was watching his co-workers run around the whole restaurant.

I haven’t wrote a review in long time. … and this place inspired me. I spend my life traveling everywhere in the world. So it’s nice when you can eat at a place that takes you home for a couple hours. I am part Puerto Rican and was raised by my Puerto Rican Grandma. This place is the closest thing I’ve come to besides home cooking that resembles the flavors coming out of her kitchen. The empanadas sampler, the Santiago style tamales and the fish of the day took me back to our kitchen in NYC. I can’t emphasize the authentic nature of this place. Mostly Spanish staff keeps you in the mode of the Caribbean. Everything coming out of the kitchen looks 100% legit… and the smell is amazing. It hits you as soon as you park your car. If your Spanish, you like your rice a certain way. … and this place has got that on lock down. …don’t even get me talking about the tostones. …Dios Mio!

A native from Tampa, I love Cuban food n was extatic when I found this restaurant. Only wish they served Spanish bean soup(garbanzo bean) hint-hint… The dishes I’ve tried were certainly authentic n delish! Walk in sit down n enjoy.

Found this using Unilocal and I’m glad I did. Arrived during lunch and there weren’t many open seats(great sign). I Ordered empanadas and Cuban jerk chicken wrap and I was not disappointed one bit. Everything had lots of flavor and the portion size was plentiful. Customer service was great even though my Spanish could use some work. Great place to stop if you are in the area or just passing thru on I-75

Came here on a lunch date and was not impressed. If my friend had not suggested it I would never have tried it. The sandwich I had was bland and the yucca fries were somewhat soggy.

What a find & What an awesome experience. We are from NJ and have a vast amount of restaurants between NJ&NY and Papi’s can stand and compete with any of the Cuban restaurants in our area. Great service and delicious food. Ask for Carlos and or Dora. My fav arroz con pollo!

HORRIBLESERVICE! We had a party of 18 people, which none of them was satisfied with the service. Our waiter was Michael, and he was not helpful at all. In several occasions, we asked him for water and he never brought it to the table, he didn’t know what was on the menu and wasn’t willing to find out. He had an attitude the whole time we were there. Food was great but not worth going back because of the service.

Ok my only update is that if I had to make a suggestion for a sandwich after being a regular here now is that I would opt for the medianoche or Rey’s Cuban. The only difference between the 2 is the bread. Both are delicious! I always get maduros for a side. Yummy

Have been wanting to write my review for this location but time has slipped by. I still remember how friendly the staff was and as this being my first time to try cuban food, I really enjoyed it. The Rey’s Cuban Sandwich was very delicious and though I only ordered fries, I wish I tried the rice and beans, as well as, their plantains. I will make that correction on my next visit.

These place was busy with the local lunch crowd when we stopped by passing thru Atlanta. I had the pallamino steak which is a thin slice of flank with cooked onions on top along with the typical back beans and rice with chopped onion and a nice salad. Husband had the roast pork which was flavorful with black beans, rice and plantains. We were both satisfied with our lunch but it wasn’t anything memorable. It is was busy and clean and good service.

Some of the best Cuban food I’ve had this far north of Florida. From walking in we were greeted by the manager/owner who told us to pick a seat and brought us menus. Our server came over and she was super friendly, took our order, brought us drinks, and delivered our food; the only downside was she was got extremely busy and it was hard to get her attention. Other than that she did an awesome job. We split the Cuban sandwich and Ropa Vieja sandwich, both were so awesome; but the Ropa Vieja was the best. We also got the rice and beans; the rice was great, but I think the beans needed just a little more seasoning. Overall, Papi’s is a great place that everyone needs to check out.

Had takeout here for dinner tonight. Usually we’re pleased with the food here. Today the Cuban sandwich was just ok and cold. The pork dish was so salty that I couldn’t eat it. I’m not sure I’ll return, but there are time that my family has a taste for Cuban.

Amazing food with solid portions. I have the vaca frita my first night and it is my favorite dish at this place. The next night I had the chrrasco steak with chimmichurri sauce. It was fantastic!

Okay this place is not great far from it, their is a lack of love in the cooking. I had the sampler to start off and that’s when I realized this place was gonna be so so. Let me tell you what went well and what went wrong with the sampler. The empanada– was just a little oily, but seasoned well. The papa rellena– it was perfect The croquetas– one was microwaved well and the other was ice cold. Now I wanna focus on my breaded chicken dish«pollo Milanese» The chicken was fried perfectly no complaint except for the cheap tomato paste and cheese. In my picture you can tell not all of the cheese melted. :‘o(What up with the dried up rice?) I was so disappointed! Now the skirt steak was perfect, I wish that was my meal instead of my coworker.

I enjoy coming here for some sandwiches mainly. They make great chicken sandwiches. I am not a big fan of rice and beans because they are overcooked most of them. That being said, try cuban sandwiches. Service has always been good here too. Workers are friendly, attentive and fun. I wasn’t sure what to order couple of times but they were helpful and fun to talk to. The bar is small and basic but don’t let that fool you cause they can make good mojitos. I actually tried their bar many times and the drinks were strong and tasty.
