Great food and friendly staff. They smoke their BBQ in house, fresh, daily. The ribs are insanely good. Honestly I really haven’t had anything on the menu that wasn’t amazing and I’ve tried almost everything! This place is a hidden gem in Kennesaw. Kids eat free on Sunday’s. The free ice cream with a meal is addicting and dairy free. It’s very quick service even though the place is usually busy!

Really yummy… $ 50 meal feeds 4 people w/a little left over(even when 2 of them are teenage boys!) — sides, mac n cheese and onion rings were stand outs :) Very friendly employees, and the place smelled soooooo good I didn’t want to leave(they were about to close, so I had to though!). The second you walk in the door, you KNOW this place serves the good bbq.

Love this place been going ever since they opened up. Don’t think I’ve ever had a bad thing on the menu. Try the fried okra or mashed potatoes for your side and don’t forget desert

We’ve actually gone to Dickey’s a few times and, while I’ve never found it particularly great, it’s usually been decent. However, the last time we went there I have to say the customer service was not all that great. They were out of spicy cheddar sausage which, I get that since it’s a restaurant sometimes you’re going to run out of certain items, it happens. We wanted to cancel our order though because that was the main thing we liked to get there. The manager first told us that there was no way to void the order on his end. However, when you go to the website it says that you have to contact the restaurant directly to cancel the order. We ended up going down there because after the manager said he’d refunded our order, it looked like our card was double-charged. Now, that may not have been his fault because it did show up as a refund on his computer, but I didn’t appreciate then being lectured on how we should’ve created an online account instead of checking out as a guest to prevent this from happening in the future. I’m sorry, but maybe you need to learn how to operate a credit card machine or how your systems work instead of blaming the customer. Just a bad experience overall.

Free ice cream BUTTHEYWOULDNTGIVEUS A CUP! would never recommend anyone ever eating here not even if it’s the last place on earth to eat at!

I’d go back for the onion tanglers and my wife would stop to pick up some potato salad, but that’s about it. The BBQ was well below average. My pulled pork was bland, greasy and would have qualified for smoke-free rates at the local hotel. It tasted more boiled than smoked. My wife tried the chicken. I say«tried» because it was so dry that she gave up halfway through. And, finally, don’t advertise«free ice cream» when what you offer is some form of chemically created, artificially flavored«vanilla» soft serve product. There are so many decent BBQ places in this area. Don’t waste your time on this chain-franchise offering.

I like Dickey’s for a quick bbq dinner. Their weekday specials are really nice and reasonably priced. The ribs are a hit or miss. Sometimes they are just amazing, other times I can’t even eat them they taste so bad. Instead of gambling on ribs, I suggest getting the pulled pork or Texas style brisket. The sausage is delicious also. The Westerner sandwich is a favorite. If you eat in you get free ice cream for dessert! The guys at Dickey’s are always friendly and attentive to customers. For the price you really can’t go wrong with Dickey’s.

The food here is exceptional. I went there. After seven on a Sunday night, they were sold out of everything except the Ribs and the pulled pork without hesitating, I opted for the ribs. They served five very nice, fall off the bone tender, pork ribs. The sauce was sweet and very delicious. Theses were some of the best ribs I’ve had in quite a while. I had potato salad, homemade, and the fried okra. Both were fine. The décor is traditional juke joint, which is all the better because this is a down home sort of place. I know if you Love barbecue, this is a place you’ve got to try.

I have been here many times, and I’ve never had anything that was not good. The service is always fast and friendly. Daily specials. They even give me a free sandwich on my birthday!

Delicious! The servers were all friendly. Sliced brisket with BBQ sauce. Their buns really make the sandwich. Free ice cream! Meat was a littleeeee drier than I hoped, but bbq sauce made it good! I’ll go back!

After 19 years of not eating meat, I jumped into some pork two weeks ago and surprisingly decided to keep pork in my diet. So while traveling to Atlanta last night, I researched a good place to stop on the way and found Dickeys. I remember my brother telling me for the past few years how much he enjoys the Dickeys by his Florida home. The fried okra was the best I’ve ever had. The Mac and cheese was good. I got the pulled pork and ribs. I really don’t think I’ve ever had ribs before and was worried that I wouldn’t know how to properly eat them. As advertised though, the meat fell right off the bone. Pretty good. The pulled pork was good as well. I definitely wish we had a store somewhere in Chattanooga. I’d like to be a regular.

I goto Dickey’s fairly frequently(about once a month for the last 2 years) because I love the barbecue and the atmosphere. I find myself at other BBQ joints comparing them to other Dickey’s and none of them quite match up. From the size of their portions to the low cost to the great music playing to the friendliness of the staff, Dickey’s is an awesome place to eat.

Let me start off by admitting that I’m a bit of a BBQ snob. I like to cook BBQ at home and am picky about BBQ restaurants. It was with a good dose of skepticism that I tried Dickey’s. My skepticism quickly disappeared after watching the pit masters carve slices of brisket in front of me. They even catered to my request for burnt ends. The chopped pork is good too. The owner and the rest of the staff are friendly and very accommodating. They have free soft serve ice cream as well. That makes my toddler son happy to come here. Give them a shot. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Nothing made this joint stand out to me. The food was good and the pulled pork was juicy, but it didn’t seem anything separated this restaurant from other BBQ food. I would go there again because it’s so close to home, but I can’t say what makes Dickey’s so special.

I’ve tried to eat here twice. First time, my fiancé and I walked out after the 3+ people behind the counter would not give us any time to look at the menu; even while there was no one in line behind us. Second time, and the last time, I watched for 6 or 7 minutes while 10+ catering orders were made in front of me; walked out again. Food might be good, but I’ll never know as the service at this store is not worth tolerating…

Online Ordering totally rocks! Dickey’s BBQ Pit catered an event at my job a while back, being that I was at work I only tasted a little of what was being offered at the time. I just remembered the smoked turkey being extremely good, and the berry cobbler was superb, so I was excited when I saw the Groupon for $ 12, to receive $ 24 towards online orders @ Dickey’s. After a long day at work I decided to cash in on my Groupon, and went ahead and place an online order right before I left work. My order was place a little after 5 p.m. I recieved an estimated time of 5:24 p.m. for pick up(not bad). Upon arrival, there were 4 people working, I was acknowledge right away, greeted and asked if I placed an online order(pyshic) …I actully expect to be expected and then I’m shock all at the same time… lol. My food was already prepared, and waiting on me when I arrived. Everyone was nice. I ordered the picnic family pack which feeds between 2&4 people, you get your choice of meat(1 pound), 2 side items, and rolls for $ 24.99. I ordered the pork ribs(yes I am a porker_lol, take that up with my momma, she put pig in everything), bbq baked beans, and loaded mashed potatoes, it actually was enough to feed 4 people. The ribs were very tender and easy to eat, a nice portion with about 8 ribs in the box, really good. The BBQ sauce stole the show!!! The bbq baked beans were just baked beans before I poured bbq sauce on them… yum.lol. The loaded mashed potatoes were delicious, they were loaded with bacon, cheese and chopped green onions. I didn’t care for the bread, it was a bit doughy for my taste, probably because I prefer my bread deep fried and covered in sugar ;-). I later found out exactly why the bread was there after seeing my son scoop the sauce up with the bread after he was done with the ribs. I think we used the sauce on everything. All and all it was great service & good food.

Kept meaning to stop here — but since it’s routinely a hard left(versus an easy right) when I’m fighting my way back from Town Center — I usually don’t have the time, inclination or wherewithal to stop in. Tonight I did. My first impressions — its super tiny. Merrell and Mya were working(no name tags — but I asked their names.) Both greeted me when I walked in but Mya was very subdued — not rude — but definitely not an outgoing, extroverted type so I directed most of my questions to Merrell. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, with waffle iron fries and Caesar salad. I sampled the mac n cheese before making my decision — and found it creamy but a little flavorless. And this is coming from someone who doesn’t cook with salt. Plus I prefer the stiff, baked mac n cheese — the type made with eggs and milk. This is a chain restaurant — so it pretty much what I expected — but every once in a while — these chains surprise you! The pulled pork proved to be lean and smoky — but a little mushy. Fries were tasty(think Chick-fil-A) and the Caesar salad — was just what you’d expect from a salad purchased at a bbq place. I found out — by asking a million questions — that they offer free ice cream and kids eat free on Sundays. I’ll definitely stop by again to try more menu items.

Texas barbecue isn’t my favorite, but if it’s done well, it can be pretty good for a change. I’ve had the brisket, pulled pork, and smoked sausage from here. The pork is passable, but I’ll go other places for a pork sandwich. However, the brisket is well-cooked without being too fatty, and the smoked sausages are good for a change as well. Sides like macaroni and the barbecue beans are good, and the jalapeño beans have a decent kick to them. Yes it’s a chain, but for chain barbecue, it’s surprisingly good. I generally like vinegar-based pork BBQ, so the regular sauce here isn’t my favorite. However, I like the hot and spicy sauce more than most tomato-based BBQ sauces. It has a decent kick without being overwhelmingly spicy like some places. I also like how the main two sauces are kept in a heater instead of a squeeze bottle on the table. The sweet sauce is okay, but I’ll admit that I generally avoid sweeter barbecue sauces. The service is friendly, and as others said, it can be a little on the slow side while your meal is assembled. However, the sandwich portions are sizeable, and daily specials come with two sides and a drink. Not to mention the free soft serve. I’ll always be partial to pulled pork as my barbecue meat and vinegar as my preferred sauce base. However, when I’m in the mood for something a little different, I’ll stop by here.

This is Texas BBQ, which is something ATL is not used to. I like the ribs here. The Tuesday night special with the ribs, two sides, and a drink for 7.95 is a great deal. I always get the ribs, green beans, Mac and Cheese. Portions are tasty and generous. I have tried other menu items here. I recommend you stick to either ribs or brisket here. And learn the daily specials.
